NEGATIVE MARKETPLACE INTERACTION
I have had a standing hair-cut appointment with this salon for at least 2 years. I have sent them new customers. When *. was out for surgery I transferred to *. I have been extremely happy with her haircuts for which I pay $55.00.
On January 22,2015, *. was running late, so they called on a shampooer to get me started. This gal put me under cold running water and did not immediately change it or test it for temperature.( I am a senior with a heart condition.) With that, I got out of the chair and complained to the front desk. Another shampoo associate replaced her and I had my usual haircut.
But- upon leaving, there was no apology nor adjustment offered. When I mentioned my displeasure, I was met with the acting manager who told me I was rude. I subsequently wrote a complaint on the business' website and received a refund check with a "sincere" apology note from the owner, *.
Today [2-26-15], 24 hours before my scheduled appointment, I received a call from the manager, *., who advised me they don't want me to return.*. said they ASSUMED I wouldn't be returning, and were surprised I confirmed the appointment by the the e-mail reminder sent this week in advance.
