Review: I took my vehicle in due to a severely strong gasoline smell in the car. I was told by the mechanic that a gas line had rotted away and was leaking gasoline on to the engine. I then payed $400 dollars for them to repair the issue that they assured me was a dangerous problem and could easily result in an engine fire if left unserviced. I quickly realized, after I received my car back, that the gasoline smell was not only still present but just as strong, to the point where the vehicle is not drivable. I called the mechanic who claimed to have fixed the problem and was met with condescension and aggression when he refused to fix the problem unless I payed upwards of $1,000. I was told that they were trying to 'cut me a break' on the price the first time around by only charging $400 for a $1,000 problem, which I never asked for, and that the car is very dangerous to drive. I was told the mechanic who handled the repair had a death in the family so his might might have been elsewhere while making the repair but ultimately in order to repair the dangerous issue that I had already paid for I would have to pay additionally. I now can not drive the vehicle and have given $400 to a mechanic that did nothing to resolve this dangerous issue.Desired Settlement: I would like my payment of $400 back because the problem I paid to have fixed is still occurring.
