Review: I moved into this apartment last year, 15 August 2014I gave them a total of $4,437.50 payment: First month rent $1,675.001 1/2 Security Deposit $2,513.00 Water Deposit $200.00Key Deposit $50.00Before moving out, I contacted the building management for an inspection, to which he refused. Now, after moving out, cleaned the apartment and take out all trash per contract, and no damages, I only got $855.48 of my deposit back.I was charged some bogus charges which are totally false. This is either a scam or a set up because the building manager didn't show up for the final inspection.Bogus Charges, money stolen from me, are:$150 for 1 broken key$150 for trash and various items (from an already cleaned apartment)$195 shampoo carpet(already cleaned carpet)$850 Spackle and pain apartment (What does that even mean? My money is painting apartment for profit?)$50 Repair damaged bottom of vanity$50 Deep cleaning bathroom and kitchen (I am paying for cleaning after cleaning)This is clearly the latest invention of scamDesired Settlement: I cleaned the apartment and took the trash out.I want my money back. I want the rest of my deposit back.I am not responsible for a lazy building manager failing to show up for final inspection.Whatever evidence the might have could have been taken from a different place.

Response:
Tenant did not return the keys as required. Tenant left various items including lamps and other debris in the apartment. Tenant left a big stain on the carpet. The whole apartment needed to be repainted as there were handprints and other damage to the walls of the apartment. Tenant did not pay his water bills as required by the lease. There was damage to the vanity and the bathroom was left grimy and dirty, especially the shower doors which were clearly never cleaned.
Review: I rented an apartment for 1 year.60 days before vacating the apartment, I gave them my 60 days notice per contractBefore I left the apartment, it was cleaned and vacuumed. They took $1659.57 from my $2515.05 deposit. The day that I was turning the key and for inspection, the landlord didn't show up for inspection. Now, after three weeks of waiting for my deposit, they took most of it and sent me some bogus invoice with a bunch of lies. The fact that the super failed to show up was probably part of the set up. I am trying to get the rest of my deposit back. Thank you,Desired Settlement: I am asking for my refund back.
