2/**/one the coldest week we called for service to our boilerFive men came to service the boiler and three days later and one blown boiler we had no heat Ist choice boiler caused more damage to boiler that nearly blew up in the middle of the nightThey returned and refused to accept responsibility for the damage or refund the $plus paidthree days with no heat We finally called someone else who replace the boiler that could have been repaired by 1st choice Horrible experience

my boiler broke down and needed a replacement. I called a company called, First Choice boiler and sewer corp located [redacted], to get a new boiler and installation. the job is a 6 hours job. They came over, measured the area where the boiler was and said we will bring a boiler the same size. they came back with a boiler that was twice the size. when they came they all smelled like marijuana and when they came, they realized they could not fit it. they spend 12 hours removing my old boiler while the new one was on the way. the new boiler did not come so they said its 11pm, we will come tomorrow. they came tomorrow at 6:45 am and worked on installing the new boiler which was still huge. when I returned from work at 8pm they told me that they have no choice but to cut one of my cabinet and that they will fix it back and make it look like new. with disappointment, I said ok because we had no heat or hot water. they stayed til 2am while
there are infants in the house. the job was still not done and when I looked at the area, they broke my cabinet more than they said, they broke a big wall next to the boiler area, the took out bricks from my fire place and unbelievably cut a steal beam in half which we later found in the garbage. they begged that they will fix it all. so I am very frustrated now with no hot water or heat. they came back the third day at 1pm which they shouldve been there at 7am. they were working on the installation while I was upstairs cleaning. after 6 hours, my cousin, who lives with me comes home and found the plummers sleeping in my garage while the pipes are leaking oil and water!!!! He got very frustrated and told them to leave.
At this point we decided that we were going to call someone else to do the job. the boss calls me and begs and begs to give him another chance and he will fix it all. he said my guys were on a big job and I hired these guys to do the job. he said give me 2 hours in the morning or the boiler is yours and you dont have to pay.
I had to take off from work and give him 2 hours. his plummer comes and says this is all messed up. you have to give me 6 hours. now I am very frustrated and decided to agree because we have no heat and its cold. the plummer fixes thing and says ok I am told to collect half of the money. so I gave him $2500. which he leaves we found oil and water leaking all over again. now its the fourth day and someone else from the company comes and says oh these pipes are too small and I have to replace them. so he leaves and comes back the next day and replaces them. as he steps out of the house, hot burning water starts to shoot out of the boiler almost buring my son!!! so I run to get him back. when he comes back, he stops it and says " you mustve done something". oh were we mad so he says sorry. ever since then everyday something new is leaking and everyday someone comes to fix it and its leaking again. it smells like oil and the boiler is so loud that we
cannot hear each other.
finally I called the boss and said I have little babies in the house and I am not comfortable with this job done or with the boiler since it is inside the house, therefore, I want my money back and take your boiler. I want you to pay me back and pay for the damages. he refuses to give me my money back or fix the damages they caused for free.

Review: On Nov.[redacted] 2014, I contacted the Company !st Choice Boiler & Sewer Corp around 8:30pm for an issue that I had with my boiler that it would not turn on. Since it was an emergency call they assured me that I would get the service at the hrs of 10 and 11pm, which they did not show up until 2:45am. They checked my boiler and explained that there was nothing that could be done b/c they needed a part, which was a becket transformer. The cost of the service for a service night call $189 the part costed $120 the installation fee $60, which I paid the total amt of $405.90. The service men return the next day and put in the part & charged me for a fuse that apparently was no good so they replaced that & charged me $25. On my receipt it is written that I have a 1 yr warranty on the service. On Dec [redacted] my boiler once again stopped working after 10 days & I called the company back at 4:30pm and I spoke to a dispatcher which assured me that they would be there ASAP & I will be receiving a technician call to confirm the time frame, that I never received. I called back at 8pm, they told me that they would be there between the hrs of 10 and 11pm, at 10:40pm I called back & the driver explained that he would not be their at that time b/c he was in Brooklyn then Queens & then to my home. They did not get to my home until 3am. The technician went down to my basement and started to take the boiler apart and at the same time he started to bleed the line. He removed the filter from the boiler and showed me that it was dirty which they never check the first time they came to service and he proceed to say, that was the reason the boiler did not turning on and b/c I received oil serviced into the tank. The technician explained b/c of that reason the warranty was not warranted because it was a different matter, which in fact it was the same matter b/c they were able to turn on my boiler after replacing the part. They wanted to charge me for a service night call again & when I refused they left the line to bleed out.Desired Settlement: Full refund of $430.90 b/c I felt threaten by 3 men who can see that I am a single home owner. Which I am disable and is on workers com. They were very unprofessional, the driver was yelling at me and I felt afraid so I did not react to much b/c I was alone at home & didn't know what the outcome would be if I did. I told them that I'll call the police, that is when they left my home and didn't care and left the boiler bleeding out wasting all over the bsmt fl which is a hazard to me and my home.

Review: I called this company because the radiators in my home were hot but there was no heat in the house. Four workers arrived and the chief technician told us that the problem was due to a circulator pump that was much too hot and needed replacing. We accepted that the bad pump was the reason for us not having heat and paid the company a total of $715.95 which included pump installation of - $350.00. After the job was completed the house was still very cold. The newly installed pump was just a hot as the previous one that we were advised to change. At [redacted] the technician advised that we set the thermostat on 74 degrees overnight to see if the house would warm up since it would take time for the air to circulate. Up to [redacted] the next day the house was still very cold and the thermostat had only reached 69 degrees. I called the company several times at the number given which was ###-###-#### and got the following message each time "please hang up and try your call later". The business card claimed that the company was open 24/7 including holidays. Being quite distressed I goggled the company and got a number on [redacted].com. (The site gave the company a 3.63 rating.) One of the workers who was at the house answered the phone and was very rude. He claimed that this was his cell phone and why was I flooding his phone with calls. He told me that he was sleeping. I found this to be very unprofessional since the number listed on [redacted] was assumed to be a business number. The information on [redacted] claimed that the company had over 65 years of combined experience yet two of workers on the job were apprentices. One who installed the pump was supervised by the chief technician who left. The two apprentices were then on their own and they were just fiddling around trying to guess why the problem was not resolved after a new pump was installed. After paying $350.00 for a pump I was no better off since the house was still cold. In addition I was unable to reach the company at the listed numberDesired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the sum of $350.00 for the installation of a new pump. The company told us that the problem was a circular pump and we needed to get a new one. After the pump was installed the problem was not resolved, therefore it appears that the pump was not the problem. At this stage we may have to contract a new company to resolve the problem because I have no confidence that 1st Choice Boiler & Sewer Corp has the capacity to deal with my issue.

Finally I had no choice but to call a different company to come in with a new boiler and they replaced it within 6 hours. 1St choice boiler is still sitting in my garage and I dont need it.Desired Settlement: The business should take their boiler back because I had to pay a whole different company to bring their boiler and replace it. 1st choice boiler is still sitting in my garage and I dont want it. they should take their product and pay me my money back. This company should be band from working because they are dangerous.

We finally called someone else who replace the boiler that could have been repaired by 1st choice. Horrible experience.

Review: This company sent workers to my home to remove an old Bioler and install a new one on August [redacted] and it is now August [redacted] and my home has no hot water and the job is incomplete . I have tried to contact the owner these past 2 days to express my concerns that this job was taking extremely long and the owner Chris has yet to return my calls. I have water on the floor surrounding the new boiler . Pipes leaking and the gentleman that was working on the boiler till about 9:32 pm last night could not complete the job because he was in extreme pain due to his cancer. He expressed to us he was undergoing chemotherapy. He struggled throughout the entire day in pain. He could not figure out what was going on with the water presssure Chris the owner never returned our calls . Here we are in our third day with no hot water.Desired Settlement: A phone call from the owner ...the adjustment to the bill due to poor service
