1st Choice Commercial & Residential Services Reviews (63)

These people are not reliable! They were at my residence on Monday to drain water from a broken water heater. They were to come out on a Tuesday to replace the water heater, but a message was sent saying they had issues with their phones and wouldn't be able to come until Wednesday. Wednesday they came without confirming that I would be home. When they came they installed the water heater, stated that the hot water would be running in about 20 mins. I had to return to work because I had already missed time for them to come and install. I got home after 9 from work and picking up my son for football practice. My son go to shower... no water coming out from the hot water. I called 1st Choice Plumbing explaining what's going on, the answering service answers & they responded saying an on-call tech would call. It's 5am now, after 4 calls still no return call. I have taken a total of 12 hours off of work to sit and wait for technicians that don't keep their word! Still it is now Thursday and no hot water. My livelihood is at state because I've taken so much time off of work and spending unnecessary funds due to not having hot water. DO NOT CALL THESE FOLKS IF YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY!!! These folks move slow as molasses??

The way this call actually went: Mike and David showed up for the original call for a stoppage in kitchen sink. Kevin told us he put liquid drano in his sink and noticed a short time later that it was all over his carpet on the back side of the sink. We removed the...

garbage disposal, which leaked some water that we did clean up right away, saw that his pipes were full of sludge. I told him at that time there was a possibility of a broken pipe and I wasn't comfortable putting a snake in his line without running a camera in it first to see if the line was broken some where. I called his home warranty and they did not cover his camera inspection. I told him the rice was $250 for camera, but we would put that towards the cost of repair or hydro-jetting if no repair was needed . He agreed that was what should be done. I then at that time told him if a repair was needed that most likely his warranty company would pay for the repair but not the access to get to repair or fixing the wall afterwards. I was just trying to let him know what may happen. Jon then went to run camera, 2nd time out there for our company. He ran the camera and let him know he did not have a break in the line. so to fix his 30 plus years of sludge build up in his lines we could hydrojet the kitchen for $700 minus the $250 he spent for camera or if he wanted to hydro-jet all of his drain and sewage lines we could do it for $4000 minus to $250. He asked us to hydro-jet his kitchen but was upset jon didn't have the jetter on his truck to do it right then. He cancelled the next day. He told Jon he plunged his sink which will cause pressure that can cause the seals on his pipes to leak under that pressure I can only assume he had someone snake the sludge which is a tempory fix, he will back up again. This company offered him the best option to fix his problem. no one scammed anyone. im glad kevins sink is draining for him I wish him well , but his statements against us are inaccurate

Upon my tech's first visit to the home he took apart and cleaned the body he put it back together stopped leaking and showed the customer how to use it and explained that it can't be turned too far or with force. Customer had admitted of tightening faucet too much. The customer had called back...

later that day and said it was leaking and that they had to shut water off to home so we returned that night.  When the same tech had returned he found the one handle had been popped off (due to excessive force) Which is why tech had shown customer how to properly use it. As for the leak under the sink the tech had never touched under the sink at the first visit that day just looked at it. but when returned for the second visit it was unattached and put it back together for her.  As for coverage of the faucet that is not our decision it is the home warranty company if they had approved it we would of replaced it unfortunately that wasn't the case.
