Mr*** was informed that because of extenuating personal circumstances the hedge trimmer that he put into layaway was returned to the original customer that pawned it to us days after Mr*** put the trimmer into layaway. Mr*** was given a full refund and explanation of the
situation.In addition, Mr*** had this set up on a short term layaway period in which HE chose the payment terms in which he was obligated to pay within days. By his own admission, he missed this payment and didn't come in until a week after the payment was due thus voiding his layaway agreement. Under circumstances, we would have either forfeited the amount paid to date or, if the customer wished, allowed him to buy the item without penalty. Even though he broke and voided the layaway agreement, we did not penalize him with forfeiture of the money he'd paid to date.In this situation the only loser is us. We could have been uncompassionate to the original (and very longtime) customer's person tragedy and additionally penalized them or not allow another customer to benefit from another's unfortunate situation. We didn't penalize Mr*** and would think that he'd want us to act in this ethical manner should he have a similar situation. He does not however, which is unfortunate. But we feel we did the best possible in light of the situation.***Please see attached layaway contract for Mr*** where he agreed that if he didn't make the scheduled payment that it would be forfeited. On the first day after he decided to not make his payment, the items reverted to our discretion.***

That is absolutely not the truth I was given days to pay in full there was not a payment that was due every days I was told because the the product was a product that is only in high demand during the summer that they could not put this on a day purchase that it had to be done on a 30-day purchase I didn't understand why but I agreed to the days I went in before the days was up to make final payment and I was told that it was to their discretion according to their policy that they had a right to do that I am challenging that policy this was a product that I needed to complete a contract that I secured and they chose to just take it and give it back to the owner who lost it legally and now they're further proving my claims of the unethical process that this business use from the lies to fabricating stories to making up policies this company has absolutely no integrity from the manager to the young man and the lady that was working behind the counter they all lied and told me that it was their policy to take it if they wanted to I came back before the days to pick up the item I am not only out of the item that I need it for my business but I was not able to fulfill the contract
