I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
In response to 1st Nationwide Mortgage.1st Nationwide Mortgage completed the loan and checks were issued in the name of each creditor. The miscommunication mentioned was with senior broker [redacted] Frazilus’s assistant, [redacted], at the Santa Ana branch. This was my first time receiving checks to pay creditors and I trusted 1st Nationwide to advise me through the process. [redacted] instructed me to open a separate account and deposit the creditor checks into the atm. I did as he recommended. Once the funds were frozen, I learned that was not the correct way to handle the checks. At this point, most of the communication between [redacted], [redacted], and myself was conducted through phone calls. Unfortunately, I was unable to document that [redacted] instructed me to open an account and deposit the creditor’s checks. I do have evidence that [redacted] was attempting to have me cash three of the creditor’s checks I held onto. I told him I was uncomfortable with doing such a thing. It must have been wrong to cash checks in another payee’s name. [redacted] pushed the issue and offered to waive the 12% fee he usually charges to get checks cashed. The evidence of this is in the form of text messages. The photos will be attached below.I do not have evidence of the conversation with [redacted] instructing me to put the checks into the atm. I do have evidence showing his character by trying to get the remaining checks cashed out to me directly, which seemed possibly illegal. This ill advised instruction has caused payments to creditors to be delayed. It resulted in missing several hours of work trying to get the matter resolved. I was informed by [redacted] Bank that there is nothing more for me to do in regards to the frozen account. To unfreeze the account 1st Nationwide Mortgage and Layer’s Title need to resolve the issue. To summarize:  The checks being deposited into [redacted] Bank was a direct result of [redacted]’s instruction.  I hold 1st Nationwide Mortgage responsible for the funds frozen at [redacted] Bank.  I am requesting that 1st Nationwide Mortgage take responsibility for this error and make my business with them whole and complete.
