1st Rate Roofing & Siding

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a business/customer service. I had a new roof put on, window wraps replaced, and gutter caps/downspouts replaced. The job was supposed to be completed by November of 2014 (Per a signed contract) and wasn't completed until September of 2015. There was an extremely significant lack of communication and honesty. The owner stated he was going to show up on certain dates/times and never showed up. I advised the owner many, many times I wanted to get my house completed as we were way past the contract date, however he continuously set my house aside and pushed the date back (this went on for many months). Some of the work was done very poorly and needed to be re-done. It was a nightmare trying to get the owner or someone back to my house to fix the work that was done poorly. It took me five months to get someone back to my house to fix the work that was originally done poorly. Every time I called and asked the owner why nobody showed up on a particular date, the owner either didn't answer, stated he was sick or injured, or said he would get to it soon. I would wait a week or two and nobody would show up and I would receive no message/call, therefore I would call the owner and he would again tell me the same thing. The only thing completed in the contract on time was the roof. Most of the work was subcontracted to another company. The owner offered a $100 incentive if you were to recommend his business to someone else and they were to sign a contract with him. I recommended 1st Rate Roofing and Siding LLC to a friend(not knowing how awful my experience would be) , and that friend signed a contract and I did not get the $100 that was advertised. The owner also advertised Owens Corning shingles in the folder/pamphlet he gave me when we signed the contract, however he later switched to StormMaster shingles. I also spent a good portion of a day picking up metal shavings after my window wraps were done, or nails/plastic wrappers from shingle packaging after the roof was completed. This was a horrible experience and I would not recommend this company to anyone. Communication, honesty, organization, and time management were the biggest issues and were completely absent during my experience with 1st Rate Roofing and Siding LLC.
