Roofing quote included items not done, painting quote included bay window rood not finishedDuring the initial quote process [redacted] said the attic fan would be moved and they would ensure the roof cut was made for the bathroom vent since it wasn't originally. Neither of these items were done. Also, painting included bay window roofing, after calls and texts, one coat of paint was place I called to see when it would be finished but no one called back or came. When the paint started peeling off I called and texted and no one has ever contacted me back. Since I have come to this point I will also mention the damage done to the down spout, broken pots and bird house, and paint on curtain during internal painting.Desired SettlementAsking them to complete the work I paid forBusiness Response /[redacted]/The roofing quote is included below. It mentions nothing about the painting of a bay window. The work on the Invoice was performed in it's entirety about six months ago. The painting of a bay window is/was not included in the work order. We reluctantly agreed to arrange for a painter to paint her exterior bay window(which should have been replaced and not painted) at her request.Our office has not received one solitary call or complaint from homeowner regarding the matter. [redacted] from 1st response is sending someone out tomorrow morning to fix the painting on the bay window someone named [redacted] who is probably the same [redacted] that did the painting. I talked to [redacted] at the end of last year when I was trying to get a date for the painting inside the house. They contract it out to another company. Since [redacted] is the one who did the original quote and was there when the insurance guy wrote up the pay out as the check was written to 1st Reponse and including painting if not I certainly overpaid on a roof job since it included painting the ceilings inside the house. Attached is just the roofing write up, but does not include the stuff I talked to [redacted] about and who said "that when the job was over he would be back for the walk through to make sure everything is completed", but who I never heard from again. Will pull out the ADDITIONAL paperwork I have a from the insurance inspection on the hail damage and the payout to 1st Response. While putting on the roof they stepped on a beam crack ed my ceiling and the frame isn't rightWhile putting the new shingles on the house they had to reframe a section of the roof while doing so they stepped on a beam and it shifted causing the ceiling in the ceiling they also didn't use 2 x 6 boards they used 2 x 4 boards and the frame doesn't even meet at. the A of the roof so it has a gap in the roof they sent the first guy out to fix it and he made a bigger mess than it was now they sent out a guy Fri to fix it but couldn't because the roof has to be fixed first so he put a beam up in the middle of my room so that it wont crack anymore tried to call them this morning but no answer left message and emails we need to fix this before it causes more damage they know it has to be fixed and they said they would but it's been2 months now we paid them with certified checks from our bank and they are paid in fullDesired SettlementWhile putting on the new shingles they replaced part of the framework and while doing this they stepped on a beam and it shifted causing my ceiling to crack also they put 2 x 4 boards in that supposed to be2 x 6 they also didn't frame it all the way to the A in the roof it's been 2 months now they had a guy come out on Friday Oct 9 said he couldn't fix the ceiling until the roof was fixed so he braced up they ceiling because it is already starting to sump again they have been paid in full and wrote us a new work order to fix this mess but it's been 2 months and the problem is getting worse we are truck drivers and have to keep paying someone to come out to the house so they can get in but nothing is getting big done Plse help usBusiness Response /[redacted]/Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [email protected] job in question is a little more difficult than described by homeowner. The house is about 100 years old. The on site supervisor agreed to deal with the homeowner's request to try and update the troublesome rafters and beams although he should not have agreed to the project in the first place. That supervisor has been reprimanded and removed from our company. Still, we have an obligation to right this mistake. We have since corrected the issues regarding the carpentry, which is about 90% of the issue. All that is left to do is to apply popcorn to a small section of ceiling and to paint a ceiling in a 15' x 20' room. This is scheduled to be done before the end of the week. After this is complete, the roof and ceiling will be in exponentially better shape than it's been in a number of years.
