These people are lieing .1)I did not need to get an appointmentI called them few days before and they told me I did not need oneWhen I got there, there was no one waiting, I didn't have to push anything.2) She never explained the fees to me untill the very end, or I would have walked out right away because I don't have that kind of money3) She asked me for proof of residency and at the time I did not have an Oregon ID and since I live with my son (he is my landlord, I asked him to write a letter, just as he did for Social Security)4) Even though I explained to het that I had SSI, she told me that since I had work previously in my life, I could not the the discounted rate required by the State, which at the time (and I think it still is $and not $50! Of course at that point I had to explain to her that even if you hd worked at some point in your life you can still develop a disability and therefore be on SSI (She shou,ld have known this and not give wrong informaion.5) Their site did nt have their fees posted, just the State fees, they just corrected this "little" information after I have been complaining about them6) I was never abusing to her, she was very rude from the very startI'm a yars old disable woman who has a lot of severe problems in my life and have no interest in getting into verbal fights with anybodyMy only comment (besides the one about how wrong she was about SSI, was made very calmly when I already had a foot out the door, and I told here that it was not right that they did not disclose their fees on the site.7) When I explained all this on their website on Facebook, she responded by making fun of my appearance probably because I stated that it was not very professional to goaround an office and puling your jens up every mnuts otherwise her butt was showing8) There was only ONE doctor there, and I don't see how this doctor can sign a form based on all kinds of possible illnesses that can allow you to have a marijuana cardCan he be a psychiatric doctor, pain management doctor, chiropractor, and so forth and so on at the same time? It's a very shady business and I feel people needs to be warned about themShe also accused me of braking the law because I didn't have an Oregon ID, even though she was that my SSI statement stated that I resided in Oregon! I had submitted a complain also to the OMMP, the Medical board and the General Attorney

[redacted] came into my office on February 8th with no appointment and was immediately very pushy about getting one. I gave her a new patient packet to complete while I asked the doctor on staff that day to look over her records and make sure she qualifies for an OMMP card. I always explain...

the fees to people first so that they know what to expect and there are no surprises later. I asked if she receives Oregon Health Plan, Food Stamps, SSI, or if she is a veteran. She said she gets Oregon Health Plan and Social Security Disability. I asked for her ID and proof of Oregon Health Plan and let her know that the OMMP does not accept SSDI, and that the fee to see the doctor on Oregon Health Plan was $160.00 and the state fee is $50.00, to which she didn’t argue. I copied her Florida ID and Oregon Health Plan card and returned them to her. I informed her that the OMMP requires proof of Oregon residency to get a card via a rental agreement, or a utility bill. She then asked her son who was with her to write a note saying that she lives with him. I let her know that the OMMP would not accept that but she insisted I was wrong and I chose not to argue because she was being very pushy and aggressive about how wrong I was and I felt very uncomfortable.  When it came time for payment I gave her the total of $210.00 and she became frustrated saying that she received Disability. I told her that the OMMP would require proof of SSI for her to be eligible for a discounted fee of $20.00 and that they do not accept SSDI. I let her use my computer to get proof of her disability which she did. I told her with her proof of Social Security the total is $180.00; $160.00 to the clinic and $20.00 to the state. She became even more frustrated, telling me I am sneaky and accusing me of robbing her and that it is only $20.00. I told her the state fee is $20.00 but that she still must pay the fee to see the doctor to have him consult her and fill out her form so she can get an OMMP card. She grabbed the papers she had printed and left. I allowed her to insult me all the way out the door; I was relieved that she was leaving. [redacted] did not see the doctor because she refused to pay the fee. I don’t feel that I was rude to her. She didn’t like the requirements because weren’t what she thought they should be, and the law and policies are not something I can control. Moving forward, our website has had our fees and the OMMP fees posted on it since I was hired here three years ago; it has never changed. It has never stated that people receiving SSI must pay $50.00, it has always said $20.00. The OMMP application form specifically states that SSDI does not qualify for the discounted fee of $20.00. All of our doctors are Oregon Medical Board Certified so yes that means they are real. In my three years of working here I have never had this kind of encounter with or had to deal with abusive behavior. She continues to make negative comments about my physical appearance on multiple social media sites. She refuses to listen and is just mean and spiteful. I don’t think that’s fair and I explained to her in my defense I was only doing my job which is to make sure that patients are following OMMP law and that the doctors get paid for their time here. She continued to attack me on a person level on the company’s Facebook page. I will not apologize for her failure to comply with state law and my company’s policies. If she doesn’t like our fees and policies she is welcome to go somewhere else which I have already invited her to do. Sincerely,Nature Quest LLC1st Step Clinic
