Revdex.com spoke with a representative of the business regarding this case. At the time the bike was brought to the shop it was because the bike was not starting. At the time the business worked on the bike it did start but had a backfire popping sound, this is not uncommon with bikes. There are two ways...
the valve could have become bend. It would have come in contact with the piston or have an issue with dirty carbonators. The bike owner took the bike elsewhere and it was looked at there as well. The customer was presented with a bill for $[redacted]. Because the issue with the valve could not be pinpointed to the shop bending it the shop offered, and the customer accepted $[redacted] towards the repair. The business feels that the issues being brought up by the customer were addressed and the time of the customer’s original concern and felt that by offering to cover part of a repair done elsewhere addresses this case. They are unaware of a repair bill for $[redacted].

This is a formal written rejection to 2 Brothers Automotive reply. When I brought the bike to the shop it was not starting that is the reason for him to put a starter clutch in the bike. If he put the starter clutch in correctly the bike should have started. However, that was not the case when he suppose to put the starter clutch in he knock the timing off which he bent the valve in the bike. He called me two days later and said he had the bike running but when I went to pick the bike up it was starting slow, backfiring and popping and that is not a common thing if he done the work correctly. When I told him about the bike he told be to work on the carburetor and I told him I do not work on bikes that was the reason I brought it to him. A dirty carburetor has nothing to do with bent valve. The piston has to come in contact with valve in order to bend it.When I took it to [redacted] the mechanic([redacted]) show me where the valve came in contact with the piston. After he remove the head he has to remove the valve from the heads and show how bad it was bent. The bike only went two shops 2 Brothers Automotive and [redacted] power sports who actually work on the bike. The total bill for them to correct the problem was $[redacted]. Reese J[redacted] went and paid $[redacted].00 he did not know total of the bike price. I paid the remainder to get my bike out. If he felt he did nothing wrong why did he paid $[redacted].00 which he thought would cover the price of the bike.. I spoke to him Saturday November 5,2016 at 3:55pm and he told he will not pay me anything and my response was then we have nothing to discuss. He told me he contact [redacted] Sport motor and they suppose to have told him that they could not pin point the problem but I have receipt and they could not discuss anything about my bike to someone else without my permission. He does have a friend([redacted]) who works in the service dept for [redacted] Sport motor who I believe was informing him what was going on with my bike. I have spoke to the general manager([redacted]) twice about [redacted] discussing my bike with his friend.[redacted] stated he was going to get with [redacted] supervisor([redacted]) and discuss my complaint with him.In closing, Reese J[redacted] is responsible for a job he was paid to do but he did more damage to the bike and still did not fix the bike. There is an accountability for your work to the customer.thank you,
