WARNING: DO NOT WORK WITH "BARRY TURK" ON ANY REAL ESTATE PROSPECT. HE WILL ROB YOU,AND LEAVE YOU HANGING. THE MAN SHOULD BE IN PRISON

Barry Turk is simply nothing more than a Con Man. I found him on Craigslist, and MLS to get a Rental Home for Mom, and myself. I take care of Mom , and she was 92 at the time,.We wanted to move out East from Nassau County in the spring of 2016. Barry found a few rental properties within a few days, and we fell in love with a nice 3 bedroom House in Selden, NY for $2,100,00 a month. There was the required deposit of $2100 , and 2 months Rental fee after the deal goes through. He came to my house on a Rocket Board so fast with his hands out in desperation to collect the $2,100.00 . Like a homeless man who has not eaten in weeks. Mom, and I were new to this, and he did produce a form saying that the deposit money would be given back if the deal falls through. We handed him $2,100.00 that night, and waited, and waited for a call. Nothing! FFW 3 days, and I noticed online MLS that the house was RENTED. I called Barry, and he told us not to worry, that the info I read online was a typo. He said'hang in there, these Rentals take time'.I ended up going to MLS, and saw that there were 3 other Real Estate agents involved with this house in Selden, NY. I called one, and asked him if he knew what the status was on the House , and he said it was Rented 2 days ago. I said to him, 'Impossible', my Real Estate guy Barry said it wasn't. He said to me, I should not have given the $2,100.00 to him until you knew the deal was solid. Little did I know, I was naive, and in a hurry to get out of the old house. Barry told me eventually the the house was rented to another family, and that they left him out of the loop. When I researched his name, and the 2 old dog real estate reviews I was ASTONISHED! His Ratings were F - minus. I proceeded to read all the negative reviews about him Stealing peoples money, and always giving them some sort of B/S story about his troubles, and woes. I asked him for my money back, and he said it was tied up in other business activity. I was livid, and called him 3 times a day.I was hell bent on getting my Money back. How can he steal from a nice guy, and a 92 year old Lady? Well 3 years has gone by , and after 2 years of calling him weekly, and him giving us that same old story , about how he owes everyone money, and when he makes a sale, or comes into money, we will see the $2,100.00 . Yeah..OK. I believe I have a better chance of waking up tomorrow looking like Fred Astaire than seeing the $2,100.00 that he owes us.Do not work with Him on any Real Estate Prospect that involves you giving him money , or a deposit. He will take your money with no second though of ever giving it back to you. Live , and learn., I did, and I am out $2,100.00 on account of this miserable human being Barry Turk

Review: We contact [redacted] off of a Craigs List add for rental properties. After viewing a few properties, we settled on one that we wanted to rent. As per our verbal agreement, we wired [redacted] the amount owed for first months rent, security deposit and additional fee for an early move in date. Per our understanding with [redacted], this property came at non brokers fee to us. Two hours before signing the lease, we were informed that we know owed an additional month's rent to cover the broker's fee. We explained to him that we were not willing to pay a brokers fee, as we had previously discussed.

After the issue could not be resolved, we decided to not sign the lease and walk away from the property and end the business relationship with [redacted] and 2 Old Dogs Realty. At which time, we requested that [redacted] refund the total amount of $3600.00 forwarded to him and he agreed. He now, weeks later, refuses to return calls, emails and communication of any kind and we've not recieved a refund.

We've placed complaints with the FTC and now Revdex.com. In doing so, we've found that [redacted] and 2 Old Dogs have a history of misusing funds and not returning said funds when necessary.Desired Settlement: I would like the total amount owed to us, $3600.00 returned to us immediately.

Review: Barry Turk with 2 Old Dogs Real Estate was used to help find a rental house. I was shown a property on 11/**/2013 and wrote a $3,000 security deposit check to the company for the property. I was provided with a receipt for the deposit that states "All deposits are fully refundable prior to lease or contract signing". No lease/contract was ever made with the property I was shown nor with his company. On 11/**/2013 I asked for my deposit back. [redacted] said he would pay it. By 12/*/2013 I had not received my deposit back and I was still looking for a rental home and asked him to keep looking and to have my deposit applied to another property if he found one for me. On 12/**/2013 I terminated my business with him since he was unsuccessful in finding another property and again asked for my security deposit to be refunded. Over the course of the next few weeks, over text messages and verbally, he has repeatedly said he will pay me and that my refund is forthcoming. It has now been over 60 days since I terminated my business with him. I have yet to be refunded my security deposit and he is not returning my calls.Desired Settlement: A full refund of my $3,000 security deposit.

The company is aware of this complaint because I informed them of it. I did receive a phone call from the owner, [redacted], on 3/*/2014. Review: My nightmare, with Barry T[redacted]; real estate Lic. [redacted]. AND 2 OLD DOGS REAL ESTATE INC.

I HAVE ZERO ISSUES WITH THE BROKER IN FACT, I WOULD ENDORSE THEM. They fired Barry T[redacted], the second I told them about him, Barry fooled them, and me, he's the perfect con man.

Back on Oct. *, 2014 I contracted [redacted], and to my misfortune, I got Barry T[redacted] to sell my

wife’s dad’s mobile home, In a mobile home park, in [redacted]. Well, I knew it was the wrong time

of year to sell a mobile home, so I offered him a 10% commission, “if he could do it very quickly”.

Well, that's my issue. I get a call in Dec. 2014, and after talking about the price, for a while, we agreed on selling

to his buyer, who, he said, was a snow bird in **. The price was $49,500. AND, HE SAID HE PERSONALLY KNEW HIS NEPHEW.

The mobile home park said they needed two weeks to check out the buyers credit. After that, I expected a

deposit. Barry T[redacted] told me he had it, but he never sent me a check. Again, I trusted him. He faxed me a bill of

Sale, and it was partially written by hand, which I found an error in. I retyped it. The buyer’s address was wrong,

I sent it back to him. He said, have your wife sign it, with a notary, which we did, sent it overnight to him. It’s

now Feb. **. After Barry T[redacted] stalled me, with every excuse there is, I kept all his emails FOR ANYONE TO SEE.

On March *, I get my first real check, for $9,900, but the check is a bank check from “2 OLD DOG’S REAL ESTATE”,

who I never heard of. I thought it would be from the buyer, or, from **. [redacted], who were the real estate

office I first contacted, but I gave them only a four month contract, which ended Feb. *, 2015. Then I got another

check, after begging for our money, on April *, 2015 for $10,000, and then, asking again, why not the whole

amount? I get another check on April *, 2015 for $15,000.

Now, more excuses, blaming the mobile home park, but they're like, “the dog ate my homework excuses.” I

finally call the mobile home park June *, 2015. They tell me our property has not been ours since Feb. 2015.

Then I had to force Barry to pay up, which he did. And to top it off, he had the gall to still take a 10%

commission, from us, of $2,475, which I felt he did not earn. Because it was not quick, HE HELD OUR MONEY,

and would not pay us. HE’S A CONMAN, WHO MAKES YOU THINK HE’S YOUR SWEET UNCLE. Best to stay away

from him, from reading online, now, I’m not the only one who he “TOOK FOR A RIDE.” after reading all the

complaints, I’m surprised he still has a real estate license. That's how I found he works for you

Sincerely,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: I WANT $2,475 HE'S A CROOK HE STILLHAS A REAL ESTATE LIC. AND NOW IS WORKING FOR ANOTHER BROKER LOOKING OUT FOR HIM

Review: My wife and I decided to spend the 2013-14 winter holiday in the Babylon area of NY in order to accommodate our daughter visiting from Santa Barbara on winter break from her graduate program.

We decided to rent a furnished studio apartment in the Long Island area for the months of December and January and made the enormous blunder of retaining 2 Old Dogs Real Estate, Incorporated to represent our interests.

Since this was a short term rental we decided to overlook the many un-returned phone calls and took the owners word that he was busy.

In the last week of November I had my son deliver a $1,100.00 check for the month of January 2013 and a security deposit of $500.00 along with a payment of $400.00 real estate fee to 2 Old Dogs only to discover on the first of December that the apartment was filthy and that the bathroom was covered with visible grey mold spores.

Since my wife and daughter were arriving on the [redacted] of December 2013 at JFK it was not feasible to cancel the arrangement and look for another apartment. I foolishly went on 2 Old Dogs word that they would immediately have the apartment thoroughly cleaned, however, after arriving at the apartment on December [redacted] we discovered a disgusting mess and we left the apartment returning to our [redacted] home taking our daughter and valuables after a one night stay in order to allow a cleaning crew to decontaminate the dwelling at a cost of $350.00 for 2 people and 4 hours of work.

Additionally, 2 Old Dogs initially requested I leave the lease I executed at the apartment on the [redacted] of December 2013 in order to have the landlord counter sign it and I complied after taking a photo of the document that a 2 Old Dog associate signed in the witness area, however, they later reneged on their promise.

The apartment was also leased on the promise of a one car parking spot in the driveway, which the landlords daughter tried to deny, however I captured 2 Old Dogs promise on my business phone recording system. Thank goodness for telephone recording devices!!

The real surprise came when the absentee landlords middle aged daughter living above informed me that 2 Old Dogs should have informed me that the house was listed for sale and buyers would be coming into our apartment to look around. As well the upper deadbolt key previously promised by 2 Old Dogs was now being denied in favor of the old and flimsy Kwik Set handle lock.

2 Old Dogs instructed me never to talk to the landlord's daughter again and that we wouldn't be getting a signed lease, refusing to disclose why.

2 Old Dogs later advised me that we were short term tenants and their only complaint in 30+ years and they suggested we should stay two weeks and then leave the apartment if we didn't like the arrangements but they did not offer a refund.

My wife and I decided to remove all furs, jewelry and computer equipment from the premises whenever we returned to our upstate home in favor of bring it down just for a Brooklyn opera, my sons 33 birthday and Christmas week and New Years day.

As my daughter is leaving on the [redacted] of January 2014 we will no longer need the apartment and will be returning to our upstate residence spending a total of 17 days for the 2 months of rental and real estate fee. Next year we will hire a reputable agent. Since we have financial means the price was not a problem, it was simply the gross dishonesty of 2 Old Dogs. They should refund the $350.00 cleaning bill as a liability and their $400.00 fee as it was not honestly earned. I would avoid the 2 Old Dogs at all costs.Desired Settlement: To warn others

Review: [redacted] a corporate licensed broker, owner of 2 Old Dogs Real Estate, and a member of LIBOR have scammed my family over his fraudulent business practices.

[redacted] unlawfully took my security deposits of $3,800 to secure a rental and used it as his personal fund. [redacted] has yet to refund my full security deposits for a Realtor service he failed to accomplish.

Details:

[redacted] showed me a listing for a home rental located in East Northport for $1900/month. We were interested in renting the home after viewing it. I provided [redacted] with the required documentation he allegedly claimed the landlord’s realtor requested for verification. [redacted] then informed me that [redacted] of the property agreed to rent the home to me and my family with a May [redacted] scheduled move-in date, hence we needed to give a security deposit as a good faith to secure the place. I wrote a $1900 personal check as requested on 03/**/14. The week prior to meeting [redacted] to finalize the process, he requested for a second deposit of $1900 which supposed to show [redacted]’s agent I had the funds readily available (fees and deposits). On April [redacted] had a total of $3,800 security deposit from me.

On April **, 2014, the day [redacted] supposedly scheduled the lease signing, [redacted] informed me the landlord went with another offer. This act raised suspension so I decided not to do business with [redacted] and asked for a refund later that day. [redacted] stated verbally he was going to provide the refund at the end of the week, which he never did. I had expressed to [redacted] that our current landlord has rented the properly and we needed to vacate on April **, 2014. [redacted] was well aware we have two small children and we needed the money ASAP in order to secure another rental. [redacted] kept pushing back the dates, gave us false information, and told us to borrow from friends and relatives. After back in forth conversations for several days, [redacted] told us on April [redacted] he can only give $1900 instead of $3800. We had to adhere to his plan because we urgently needed the money and only had few days to find a new place to live. As of May [redacted] 2014, [redacted] still owes me $1900 even after he signed a document in front of the police agreeing to pay us on May [redacted] 2014. I had no choice to cover my lost by borrowing with interest from others. [redacted] seems to know about this process since he has been doing it for a while and have no intention of returning my full refund.

Thanks,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: To have the rest of my refund returned to me and additional $200 for expenses and interest.

Total in damage:

$2,100.
