Review: I ate lunch in the establishment on June 24, 2014 with 6 other individuals, making our party a party of 7. The comment was made that our party was one less than the number indicated on the menu that would incur a 20% fee for a party of 8 or more. The service was provided by [redacted]. and she was not an attentive waitress. When the checks came, all of our checks had a 20% service fee included in the total. I questioned that charge. Leah replied that "it was a federal law." I asked to speak with the manager. I was directed to the bar area, where I was told the manager was unavailable. When I inquired as to the appropriate code section that accompanied this "federal law" that imposed a 20% fee to my bill, I was told there was not one. I then requested to have my account credited the $12.96 that was charged to my debit card. I was told they did not know how to do it. At that time, [redacted], gave me $13.00 cash out of the register and my card was debited $10.96. When I returned home, I accessed my account, only to find my account had been debited $14.96 and $10.96. I find it interesting that no one could figure out how to credit my account, but someone was able to add to the charge. I phoned the establishment on 6/26/14, asking to speak with the manager. I was informed that he was unavailable and was told his name was [redacted], no last name was provided. I left a message. I phoned again twice on 6/25/14, leaving detailed messages with [redacted] (who was very nice) for [redacted]. Still no return call. I phoned twice on 6/27/14, left messages for [redacted] with no return phone call. I spoke with a man, who would not provide his name, and he informed me that [redacted] could not help me and that I needed to speak with [redacted], who was the controller, and she was the only one who could help me. I phoned on 6/30/14, asked to speak to [redacted], and was informed that [redacted] was not the controller, and that the only person who could help me with [redacted]. I left another message. On 7/1/14, I left another message for [redacted]. He never returned my call. On 7/2/14, I left a message for Dr. [redacted], who I was told was the owner. He did not return my call. I left a message on 7/3/14 for Dr. [redacted], who once again, did not return my phone call.Desired Settlement: I would like someone from the business to have the courtesy to return a phone call to address the obvious misappropriation of funds by one of their employees. I would like to be refunded $1.96, as [redacted] gave me $13.00 out of the register, which was $.04 more than the $2.00 that was charged to my account without authorization.
