My wife and I booked a tour in good faith and 206 cancelled it! Despite the cancellation on their end, they refused to refund our deposits. Worse yet, we spent an additional $356 on "cancellation insurance" only to find out that if the 206 Tours cancels, that this is not covered. So we've lost of deposit and the money we spent for "cancellation insurance"... all because of 206 blunders and through no fault of our own. Recommend you just do a tour on your own...at least you know what you are getting. At the very least, go with a reputable company. I know, of course, that some folks have had good experiences. That's easy when all goes well, but the real test of a company's reputation is when things get thorny. Do NOT trust 206 Tours to be honest, fair or transparent with you!
We were blessed to enjoy many trips with your company and brought you Fr. Ronan Murphy for a few. As a guest columnist and author, I raved about your service and staff many times.
When covid arrived, our trip to Poland was canceled. You postponed travel and we rebooked for our 30th anniversary and decided to take a three-week trip.
We usually book business class directly from AMEX however, a member of your team convinced us he could take care of our travel, a BIG Mistake! We spent 20k on this trip, booked well in advance and we're not seated together in business class! Unfortunately, we did not experience the service or communication we were accursed from your team, including substantial, unnecessary travel expenses… double charges for a one-night stay at a Hotell ( $1,200 ) for one night! When we looked online at the Hotell, it was half the price for double occupancy. When we called your team member inquire about the charge, she said we are a booking company and charge per person! We had stress every step of the way from your staff not what we had experienced in the past five trips. Countless long delays in returning calls/emails during our trip, we were pushed around by one staff member to another like a bouncing ball. When offered a tiny credit, we were insulted but felt hostage because we now needed a flight pick up change and dealing with your staff member was a nightmare.
In a catholic spirit, I'm in hopes for a reply from someone other than the team members we dealt with, for a solution, before writing and posting reviews / catholic articles about a company we so loved.
Disappointed in the service, but thank god for the remarkable tour guide, Sabina, as she was the only saving grace, who was able to reach your office after we attempted so many times!

My friend and I booked a trip to the Oberammergau Passion play for June of 2020. Obviously, it was canceled due to the Wuhan virus. The wording here is crucial because apparently 206Tours does not “cancel” things they “postpone” or “reschedule” things. We were going to lose $400.00 by not either extending it until 2022 or booking another of their tour offerings. We had both taken out insurance on the trip for $308.00, so we questioned why we would lose money despite the insurance. We were told that we would have needed to purchase “cancel for any reason” insurance, for an additional $299.00. So, we booked a Fatima and Lourdes trip for May 2021, and purchased the “cancel for any reason” policy. As you might expect, it too, has now been “rescheduled”. We were given 4 options. We are both in our 70’s and I have a progressive condition, so we are unwilling to keep hoping for some relief in the travel industry. We chose to take the refund. We were told that the $400.00 penalty would be waived, however the insurance would not be refunded. When I call the insurance carrier, I was told that I did not have a “cancel for any reason” policy at all. Apparently the $299.00 goes straight to 206tours and they apply it towards the trip. To make a long story short, we paid $579.00 to save a $400.00 fee spelled out in their terms and conditions. I am a seasoned traveler, having been to all 7 continents with several tour companies and I have never encountered any sort of a charge to pull out of a trip, especially after being told that I could “cancel for any reason”. I know businesses are hurting because of the virus, however we “little people” are hurting as well. I cannot in good conscience recommend 206Tours for any travel.
