206 Tours

I booked a trip to Oberammergau to see the Passion play for June of 2020. The trip was canceled due to the Wuhan virus. The wording here is crucial because 206 Tours doesn't cancel trips they "postpone" or reschedule them. I was going to lose $400.00 if I didn't reschedule. I spoke with a representative who said if I paid an additional $299.00 in insurance I would be able to cancel for any reason. I originally paid $308.00 for insurance. So I have paid a total of $607.00. I took this additional insurance out thinking that if the trip was canceled again my investment would be returned in full less the insurance. Well not so. I'm being penalized $400.00 in addition to losing the cost of insurance. I recently had to cancel a trip with Holland America and they canceled the trip because of the virus. I received all my monies including the cost of insurance in a refund. I also had a trip planned with Trafalger and the trip was canceled because of "Civil unrest". I received all my monies including the cost of insurance. I am so disappointed with 206 Tours. I believe they are not being fair to the customer. I know businesses are having difficulty, however so are their customers. I will not use 206Tours and I will not suggest them to my friends or members in my church.
