Review: My 12 year old daughter [redacted] saw [redacted] today for a filling at [redacted] office. I asked the office -before I agreed to the service - how much the filling would cost for my daughters tooth. They told me the procedure would cost $230. They never mentioned that there could be a possibility that the price might change. They had the X-rays and information from a visit in October. He said he would do another X-ray to make sure nothing changed on the tooth. Nothing changed from the new X-ray. He told me they may need to scrape a little and maybe do a mold, but the doctor did not tell me that the price would then change. He gave her the drug novicane in a big needle twice without my permission which I found unprofessional. He removed her old filling and then the office told me it would now cost me $980 because she needs a porcelain cap (since they don't offer non porcelain caps). I was in shock and confused by this HUGE price differential, and asked the doctor and office assistant ,[redacted] , why they didn't communicate to me in advance that at any time during work done to the tooth today -as they deemed necessary -the price of the filling COULD change. If I knew about the possibility of this huge price change in advance, then as a paying customer I would at least have the option to proceed or not. One of the assistants blamed me and said I should have known that the cost would change. As a customer, all I was told was that this procedure would cost me $230 and whether they do molds or add porcelain caps was irrelevant to me because I don't know what dental things cost. I thought this was part of the filling and it would be all inclusive of the originally agreed price of $230. But they told me at the end , after I confirmed the price once again, after they took out her filling , when I had no other choice, that it would then cost $980. Of course, I was very upset and felt like I was mislead.Desired Settlement: They charged me $175 for incomplete work. I want the full refund of $175 that I paid for by check. They did not give me a copy of my daughters dental records or X-rays when I asked for a copy. I want a copy of all my daughters dental records , and all of our family records along with all X-rays .
