Please accept this correspondence as our response to the complaint filed by the customerThe customer rented a Hyundai Accent from EAN Holdings, LLC's ("Enterprise") EKearney Strental location in Springfield,
MO on September 28, This office handles damage recoveries for Enterprise rental vehicles
At the time of rental an inspection was completed in the presence of the customer and the vehicle was determined to be rented with no existing damageThis was confirmed by the customer by him initialing no damage on the face of the rental agreement
Upon return of the rental vehicle on October 21, damage to the driver's side rear door and quarter panel was encounteredAt that time a damage report was initiatedAn independent estimate was completedDamages to the rental vehicle were assessed at $1,
We have reviewed prior Rental Agreements regarding the subject vehicle and did not find anything notated indicating that this damage was pre-existingPursuant to section of the rental agreement executed by the customer, he accepted " responsibility for damage to, loss or theft of, Vehicle, Optional Accessories or any part or accessory occurring during the Rental Period regardless of fault or negligence of Renter or any other person or act of God "
Based on the rental agreement signed by the customer he would be responsible for any change in condition to the rental vehicle, and therefore is responsible for reimbursement of the damages in the amount of $1,
Specific to the customer's complaint, a copy of the signed rental agreement has been provided to his insurance carrier for reviewA copy of the rental agreement was also emailed to the customer on February 2, per his request
