24/7 Appliance Repair Reviews (4)

As other customers have stated on previous reviews of this company, we too have had quite an unpleasant experience to say the least! We called for a dryer repair and when the serviceman showed up the dryer suddenly worked without needing any repair, so we were initially charged just a service charge, which was finedays later the dryer stopped working again & we called to tell them we needed the new motor that the repairman stated was eventually needing to be replacedThe company charged our credit card $to order the motor, but then called to say they could not get the partWe have called several times on a daily basis to speak to someone from the billing dept but continue to speak to the same rude man, who says there is no way to speak to or call that departmentHe gave us an email address to make a complaint, which we have done several times over a period of @ weeks, with NO response from this company!! We call & speak to the same man, who rudely keeps telling us that he has called the billing dept to take care of this for us, but refuses to give us the number of that dept or to let us speak to anyone else at that business! At this point my wife and I are getting a strong gut feeling that this is not a legitimate company and instead this is a corrupt one man show, who is conning people out of their money! We searched the Internet for a business address, but it only states it is in Orange County, CA( no real address) and every time we call the number, it is the same rude guy who now does not pick up our calls ( must have caller ID) but when I call from a different number he will answer but then hangs up on me when he realizes it's me again! We are still waiting for a refund and have reported this to the police to investigate this companyMy hope is to prevent this guy from scamming other people and to get our money that he has robbed from us! It's sad that we cannot trust anyone these days! This guy is obviously taking money from people and hiding behind a company that it seems no one can contact another human to talk to but this scam artistVery disappointed in what our world has become but hopefully we can stop this man from continuing this corrupt business! Please help us to investigate who actually runs this business! ( 24/Appliance Repair)

Our dryer drum stopped turning! We called 24/7 and everything started out great. We made the appointment, the technician showed up on time and promptly diagnosed and repaired the dryer. It is an older dryer and we were pleasantly surprised that he had the drive belt on the truck.
The problem started when it came time for payment. We provided a credit card which he ran while he was here. We signed the receipt and all was good. Until a couple hours later when the office called and said the credit card would not go through. He asked for the CC numbers again in case they had the numbers wrong. He ran it again, and again the card would not go through. I said I absolutely know there is more than enough money in the account to cover the charge and it must be something they are doing. He said he would try again in a little bit and call back if there continued to be a problem. After an hour, having not heard anything, I decided to log in to my bank to see if the charge had applied. To my surprise, not only had the charge applied, it had actually applied three times and been immediately credited back three times. At that point the office called and basically accused of us ripping them off. Then they insisted we give them a check for the repair. I said not until we talk to the bank.
We called the bank and the bank confirmed the appliance repair company was doing something wrong as both the charge and the credit was initiated from their end.
We ended up giving them a check and have our bank's fraud detail monitoring the account for any CC activity from this company. Law enforcement is only a phone call away.
Protect your finances - DON'T use this company!
Edited - Just for kicks, I looked up the price of the drive belt if I had purchased it myself. It ran between $13.26 and $15.73, they charged me $39.50. Yes, they are absolutely entitled to a profit. I don't think however they are entitled to rob people with a 300% markup. The service call was $125 for less than half an hour of work. Wish I had read Yelp before I called these rip off artists.
