In April 2013 I asked over the phone, that my membership to the gym be suspended since I hadn't used it for some time. I was told this was ok and would be done. A month later I received a bill for about 20$, which I paid. Recently, I received numerous harassment calls and a letter from [redacted] demanding credit card information. They claim that my membership was not suspended as promised and that now, they claim I owe more than 50$. They also claim that they didn't get my last payment (which I didn't owe, since I'd suspended the account a month before)Account_Number: XXXX-XXXXXDesired Settlement1) No further harassment from collection agencies or billing contractors2) All negative reports to credit agencies withdrawn3) No further harassment.Business Response Good Afternoon!! I tried to respond on-line, but wasn't able to locate the complaint return box to enter the Case # in. I read [redacted] complaint and I do apologize. As the active manager of 24/7 Fitness It has always been in my best interest to keep all of our members happy. [redacted] collects outstanding balances for our company and can be rather direct with their approach in collecting, I apologize on their behalf as well knowing they meant no harm. This account has now been canceled. As with all accounts there is a 30 day window after canceling where one last draft will be taken. That payment for this particular account however wasn't applied. This account was to be frozen and shouldn't have been charged. I am not sure where or how they determined [redacted] owed the amount she claimed they were asking for, but I can assure you both the account is now closed and no money is owed, Sorry for the inconvenience. I was out of the office most of June until end of August on maternity leave, sorry for the delay. If there is anything further I can do please let me know.
