Website http://www.24hrlockoutscoloradosprings.com/ offers pricecharge is $in Colorado Springs for weekday hoursThis company is just an "answering service" they said after I asked why they charged my wife three times at $dollars Consumer beware! Call a locksmith and not this company

I saw the ad for hour lockouts and the composition of their ad says starting at $and upThe locksmith arrived in a plain compact car with his wife and baby
He spent three minutes unlocking my front door and then tried to charge me $
I refused and he got hostile with me and called the policeThe police told me that I would have to pay him whatever he asked or it would be considered theft of servicesWe settled for less, but his method was so streamlined that he obviously does this routinelyIf he charged $500, I would have had to pay it
The advertising is misleading and has fine print indicating the $feeHe sent me a long rambling email receipt stating that his prices were so high due to the cost of his advertising
I would pass on this guy unless you get a written estimate up front
I am not filing any complaint a but wish to warn others about their liability for any charges the locksmith bills and you have no choice but to pay it or the police will be called

I locked my keys in my car. I found 24 hour lockouts online and saw they had a 19.00 special. I called and of course the 19.99 special was only for certain lockouts. I was quoted $35 and asked them to come out making sure they accepted credit cards. It took a while to get all that because there was a baby crying in the phone the entire conversation. (should have been my first clue) Upon arrival, it took him about 2 minutes to unlock my car. Nothing special, nothing hard. Then he informs me that he does not take credit card because "his machine was broken". I had to drive to a local ATM to get cash. Then he says... it's $80. $80!!! So I have given him $80 CASH and have not received a receipt to give to my insurance company. I told him I didn't think it was right and that I would be reporting it. He responded by calling me a not so nice name and telling me what I could do. Kinda glad he didn't get my debit card information. Shady I do believe.

First off they advertise 19.95 very well they also texted and said they will be here within 15 minutes and on the text it said 19.95 they get here open my door within 5 minutes no price quote before the job started only after service they say it will be 175.00 dollers for 5 min of work. We brought up that they texted us and said 19.95 they said you should have read the web sight and laughed in our face. I called back to dispute the price and tell them they are running a shame and they said they have no idea what I'm talking about and hung up on me. They do not have good buisness practice at all and they are not at all about the customer. I was on my way to get my sons Christmas and I told the lock Smith after he charged me a unfair price for the work and he laughed in my face about that as well. I understand things do cost a price but the way I was treated and the 5 min job they did was no way chargeable at 175.00$ I am a single part time. They should have gave me a ball park at the le

I called them at 7:24 pm and was told they would be be there in 15-30 minutes. The website says prices starting $19.95. Arriving an hour later they spent 5 minutes unlocking my home and hen proceeded to charge me $195. Seriously. I asked why and they said based on the time and location that was the cost. This place is ridiculous. Do not use them unless you want to spend an obscene amount of money. Taking advantage of women and military families. The guy told me to turn it into my car insurance because I was technically locked out of my car. Wow glad to see they're trying to scam insurance companies.

I called 24 hr Lockouts because I was accidentally locked out of my home. The yellow page ad stated Auto/House Lockouts as low as $19.95. When I called I didn't know I got a dispatcher that wasn't associated with the business and they did not tell me Sunday lockouts were charged a higher rate. So I expected to pay $19.95 for my lockout. . It took him approximately 10 minutes at the most to open the locks needed for me to get back into my home.. He went to his car to bill me, came back and told me he would not accept my check and did only credit cards, and charged me $138 mosre then the amount I anticipatied paying based on the ad in the yellow pages of $19.95?? When asked why so much more,, he said Sundays are charged more....he swiped my credit card and asked for my email address and stated he would email me a bill. Well he submitted the charge my bank immediately and never sent me a bill. He had stated that when I got the bill I could send it to my insurance and tell them I had locked my house keys in my car and had to call the lock smith for my car and the insurance company would pay for it and reimburse me.. To say he wouldl email a bill and not do it made me even more angry. I called the dispatch number and they gave me an email address for the company. I emailed him asking for the receipt of the bill. No response. I truly believe that illegal advertising in the yellow pages should be prosecuted and stopped.

I had called popalock to come help me out. The woman who answered basically scared me into not calling anyone else by saying terrible things about every other company. She went on for 5 minutes about how they were the only company that wouldn't damage my vehicle and wouldn't charge me $300,..after waiting two hours for them to show up I finally called 24hrlockouts. The guy arrived in under 15 minutes I paid $95 and was completely happy with my experience. Thanks again

I never leave poor reviews, but this is the most shady company I have ever dealt with. If I could leave 0 stars I would. My husband and I were locked out of our home so we called 24 Hour Lockouts. I gave them my information and the lady said 15-30 minutes. After waiting 35 minutes I called back asking if the technician had trouble finding our home. They lady said she wasn't sure but he's on the way and should arrive any minutes. He finally arrived after an hour +, put a bit on the end of a drill like tool, stuck it in the door and popped it open. He then charged us $165 and suggested we try for a partial refund with our insurance company. We paid on a Square card reader though his phone and were told a receipt would be emailed to us. We said thank you and he went on his way.

After a day and a half with no receipt I called 24 hour lockouts. I was told they could not send the receipt, but they would request it from the technician. They also said my information was under a name that wasn't mine, but that it didn't matter because they had the correct address. I waited 5-6 hours and still did not get a receipt so I emailed the company. I received a call almost immediately. The man I spoke with told me the technician said he was never at our home and asked for the name of the technician on my bank statement. I told him the name and he called the technician back, then called me again. This time I was told that the technician did come to our house but was refusing to send a receipt because we wanted him to change it to an auto lockout and he didn't feel comfortable doing that. We NEVER asked for ANYTHING to be changed. I simply asked for my receipt. He had suggested, on the night of the lockout, that we turn it into our insurance. We were going to call the insurance company once we had the receipt to see if it were even possible to be reimbursed for a home lockout. After a lot of terrible, incredibly rude customer service, the man hung up on us and I still never received my receipt or the technicians number. Finally my husband had enough and called the original lockout number and asked once more for our receipt. We were then told it was sent 20 minutes ago and to check my junk folder. I checked and sure enough I received an email, but with an invoice/bill with none of my information on it, no date, and at the bottom it stated please pay [redacted] Locksmith.

This is still unresolved and we were made out to be liars, which we are not. Even if I could not claim the lockout on my insurance I still like to have receipts for my own records, but apparently we are denied that since the technician "doesn't feel comfortable" sending it to us. I am posting this as a warning to be very careful with this company. They don't keep any sort of record and they are shady people. I highly recommend going with someone else. I will never do business with this company again and I will be leaving this review everywhere I can find to warn others.

Website http://www.24hrlockoutscoloradosprings.com/ offers 19.95 price. Normal charge is $50 in Colorado Springs for normal weekday hours. This company is just an "answering service" they said after I asked why they charged my wife three times normal at $150 dollars.
Consumer beware! Call a normal locksmith and not this company.

Review: I locked myself out of my mobile home. I found an ad in the yellow pages that stated 24 hour lockouts charged as low as $19.95 with an ETA of 15 min. I made an appointment for 5:30pm that day. I called again an hour before the appointment and confirmed the time and asked the cost. I was given a quote of $20 for the service call and a minimum of $15 to get in front door. The service man met me at 5:30 and by 5:35 the front door was unlocked. He told me the cost was $65. I told him his ad says $19.95 and the quote over the phone was $20 plus a minimum of $15 to open front door. I told him you can't get more "minimum" than 5 seconds. He said he had to wait half an hour. I told him appointment was confirmed for 5:30. Then he told me it was an "after hours" call. I reminded him his company is 24 hour lockouts. I was frustrated and paid him. The next day I called and complained to the same representative and she gave me their email address. I sent an email and asked for an itemized receipt so I could find out what the extra $30 was for. My email was not returned undeliverable nor was it acknowledged. I have never received a receipt. Therefore, I would like to receive a credit of $30 back on my debit card or a check since they cannot tell me why I paid $65 when I was quoted $35 and their ad indicated as low as $19.95.Desired Settlement: I would like a credit of $30 back on my debit card or a refund check.

To Whom It May Concern

I read all the reviews for this company before and after I had service from them. I have a really hard time seeing why people are complaining about their price and their model. two months ago I was locked out of my house and googled locksmith in my area, a foriegn guy came out, drilled my lock to my front door and charged me 350$.
Well, sadly I did it again just last week, except this time I called 24 hour lockouts, they had a professional local locksmith show up, with a marked vehicle, and the right tools. He quickly picked the lock to my house and the cost was under 100$.
People that are complaning are obviously not looking into the costs of these things and are just mad that they didnt get a dirt cheap or discount or free job from a trained professional who took the time out of his day to come rescue them from their dumb mistake.
You guys are great and dont worry about what some of these mouth breathers are out there saying.

Review: On July 21st 2014 I had locked my keys in my car. I had called 24 Hr lockouts for someone to come out and open my car for me. I had then cancelled the appt because I had someone say they could help me. Well after an hour of that person trying to help we couldn't get the door open. So because the price was decent, I was quoted $35 dollars, I called back and just set up another appointment for someone to come out and help. I waited about 15 mins which is what they quoted. Once he got there he had a child in the car as well, I was kinda suspicious about that, just not very professional. AFTER he got the car open the then told me that it was going to be $65 Dollars! When I asked why it was so high he said in a very scrabbled explanation, that he had to charge me 20 for the first appointment and it wasn't going to be 15 dollars for the car because of its make and model. Which when I made the appointment they did not tell me any of that. And it was going to be another 5 dollars because I used my debt card. He took the payment from his phone and didn't give me anything as a receipt and scrabbled off. Once I got home I called the company to voice my concern and they ended up hanging up on me.Desired Settlement: The outcome I would like is just to get the 20 dollars I was charged for the first appointment even though he did not even come out and help.

The Revdex.com should evaevaluate their rating system, these were the ONLY locksmith company in spokane that answered at 1030 at night and didn't tell me several hundred dollars to open my apartment. They showed up in 20 minutes and did the job in under a minute, doesn't look like an F rating to me.

Review: The entire exchange occurred on 1-2-2013. I found the company's contact information on my cell phone when I was locked out of my house advertising $19.95 for lockouts. I asked the person who answered the phone what the total cost for unlocking my security screen door would be (a single lock) and she said $20.00 for the service call plus $15 to unlock the door. After unlocking the door the service person gave me an invoice for $75 that included all the disclaimers the person on the phone who scheduled the service made no mention of. The technician actually said that the price I was quoted on the phone was only valid if I handed him a key and he turned the lock. I did ask him why I would call a lock out service if I had the key in hand already and was told the $75 rate was standard for the industry. It isn't - other companies would have done the same service for the $35 - it was a single lock that wasn't even the lock to let me in the house. When I called the number back, after agreeing to pay for the doubled rate, I was informed that the "answering service" was not qualified to give quotes and that the rates were solely up to the technician who came to service the lock. When I tried to further clarify what I was not told before I agreed to the service they continued to talk over me and when I requested they let me finish my statement before answering over me they hung up. When I called back to try and have the same conversation they hung up a second time.Desired Settlement: I would like the company's advertising changed to be truthful. Only the receipt has all of the disclaimers listed. I would also like a letter from the company expressing their regret for the horrible customer service provided. It's completely unnecessary to hang up on someone just for asking why the rates are not what was quoted. I will never use this business again, I hope the $75 was worth it because even in a city the size of Spokane you will eventually run out of goodwill.

24 Hr Lockouts is a dispatch referral service and we do not set the prices. We record all phone calls and I can assure you the dispatch did not give you an exact price. The price you were quoted is the in our pricing policy. Please review the pricing policy.

Review: I was quoted a price of $35 by the operator to unlock my car, the locksmith took less than 30 seconds to open the door and once done charged me $68.78. He said the price difference was due to his discretion to set the price based on the job.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the difference between what I was quoted and what I had to pay. And I want others to be warned about this bait and switch act.

Review: It is a two fold problem. #1) we were told there would not be additional charges for him coming out after hours as it is a 24 hour lock service. Then the tech did charge us $35. When questioned on it, he said he would review their calls and get back to me. No call ever came. We have had trouble with 2 of the locks he rekeyed. My husband sprayed something akin to WD-40 in the locks which he says now makes his responsibility null and void as it wasn't silicon based or something like that. When I tried to correct that it wasn't actually WD-40 he wouldn't listen and kept cutting me off. When I tried to correct it he accused me of changing my story. I tried to explain that I said WD-40 as that is a product I"m familiar with but that was not the can he used but that I could get the correct info for him. He would not listen. The more I tried to correct him he just kept interrupting me and accusing me of yelling at him. He saw no error in that he was interruptive and rude hence my trying to put the phone call right. He told me he would call the cops as they are in a highly security based profession. All of this because he is rude and won't take the time to hear me tell him I can get the correct name of the lubricant my husband used. When I questioned him on coming out his only answer was he'd review the calls. This was not satisfactory to me as he already had supposed to do that and never got back to me. He hung up on me. When I called back he said it was not long enough he thought for me to be calm. This was before I had a chance to even say anything. His behavior and comments would put anyone on the defensive as there was zero listening skills going on on his part.Desired Settlement: The company needs to refund me the $35 after hours charge and an apology letter for the poor quality of communication on the part of their locksmith technician.

This is a very unreadable complaint. Id ike for the Revdex.com to be more responsible on what it chooses to pass along. This message is one long rambling run on sentence about someone spraying something that is the same thing as WD40 into a lock. I cannot understand what this customers issue is? They were not charged a $35 after hours fee. And even if they were we couldn't refund them because even being a 24hr service doesn't mean the same price all the time. This customer was told an exact price before the service was done. Now they have apparently sprayed some sort of product in a lock that you are not supposed to spray in locks. This is a very very very confusing email and I'd like the Revdex.com to dismiss this case for being out of purview. The customer cannot be refunded because they agreed to a set price before the work was done. They also have not even made clear what exactly is going on.

Revdex.com,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I have the receipt showing a "service $35 AH" charge. I have no faith that the individual will try to make good his stance.

I no longer wish to pursue this matter with 24 hour Lockouts and will take this as a hard lesson learned. Next time I will check Revdex.com first.

Review: On 2/21/2013 I had contacted 24 hour lockouts because I had locked myself out of my home. I found them through Google on my cell phone and at an advertised price of low rates of 19.95$. I requested a locksmith to arrive at my home, he arrived about 10-15 mins later. He had asked how I would be making the payment for the services which I informed would be via my debit card, I handed him the card which he began to run via his cell phone, when I asked what the total for the charges would be he informed me it would be 85$.. I expressed that this was much more than I had expected due to their advertising the 19.95 price online. He was not willing to perform the lockout for any lower of a price so I asked for my debit card back and refused the services. The locksmith stated that my debit would still have to be charged for his arrival. I never gave permission nor accepted any charges to be made. I could understand a fee for them showing up but at the full rate of the service is absurd. My account was charged and I filed a complaint with my bank that day when I was made aware of the charge. 02/21/2013CHECKCARD (-) / MERCHANT PURCHASE TERMINAL 405523 24 HR LOCKOUTS INC 877 705 7 TX SER # [redacted] $85.00The bank credited my account with a conditional credit of 85$ until they could investigate the charges further. Yet just recently deducted the money again stating that concluding their investigation into the charge the company provided some form stating lockout services were provided, and I must now again try to straighten it out with the company. The company refuses to acknowledge that the lockout was never addressed and is unwilling to refund the 85$ charge. I did not receive any services nor sign anything or authorize charges to be made to my banking account.Desired Settlement: I am asking that due to the lack of professionalism behind this type of fraudulent charges being made to a banking account when services were not provided nor was I informed prior to them sending out a locksmith of the amount for the lockout, that my banking account be refunded the amount of 85$ in full.

We at 24hrlockouts are a locksmith referral company. We dispatch calls out to local independent contracted locksmiths who decide their own price based on many factors. Any and all advertisements we have state LOCKOUTS AS LOW AS $19.95. Some lockouts can cost upwards of a $150. This job was completed. Every job is completed before the customer is charged any money. We are sorry for his confusion but he has already cost us valuable time to clear up this dispute. His bank even sided with 24hrlockouts, and banks typically have the best interests of their own customers. The actual date of service was performed on 2-20-13. From what I have been able to figure out after the house was opened and he didnt like the price he just figured he would dispute the charge and get his money back plus a free lockout. Now that his bank investigated and found our charges to truthful and accurate he is taking a different route. Our pricing link is readily avaibale to any customer on our website http://24hrlockouts.com/pricing.php . As you can see it clearly states lockouts as low as $19.95. House lockouts are typically much higher than car lockouts because there is much more skilled training and technique involved into manipulating a door lock. This house was opened and the customer did pay $85. We would like to have this dispute closed as soon as possible because the claims brought forward are completely false. We appreciate every customers business and strive to make everyone happy, but the service performed was top notch. The independent contractor arrived in under 15 minutes and had the house door open damage free for the customer. Thank you for taking the time to review this. Have a great day.
