To whom it may concern,I have a customer service concern and false advertising complaint.1. This website guarantees service within 15 mins. They took 45-50 mins to arrive to take care of my lock.2. The website advertises $15 for the service call and service starting at $35 to unlock a garage door. The website also advertises discounts for certain zip codes, including XXXXX. I live in the XXXXX zip code and they would not honor the discount, even after I requested it. The technician also said he would inquire on the phone and he did not. I was with him during the phone call. Ultimately the job ended up costing 4 times the amount ($135) they advertised and that does not include their advertised discount. 3. I have called and tried to work with their customer service department. The staff either will not call me back or will not answer my questions. One staff member noted they charged me the night time rate for a call made at 7:40 am and completed at 8:30 am. This company advertises being 24/7 yet does not inform you of these charges.4. During my latest call, four days after the service call, the staff member would not allow me to speak with a supervisor to get help with my billing concerns.Product_Or_Service: LocksmithOrder_Number: XXXXXXDesired SettlementI would like my bill to be adjusted to reflect the appropriate discounts, rate, and service fees as advertised on the company's website.
Called company to request lock repair on my front door. Technician came out to service lock on August 20th, he indicated he would rekey lock. Couldn't rekey lock says he would fix. My door lock turned very easily without any resistance, asked technician about the ease in which lock turned, he indicated it was fine, if I had problems to contact him. Well we find out almost two months later, October 14th, that door/lock could be opened with any key. I phoned 24/7 on October 15th, spoke to a Rep and explained the problem. He indicated he would have a technician come to my home, I advised him we had changed the lock. We couldn't risk someone entering our home prior to getting the locks changed by this company nor did we trust them after this problem. [redacted] informed me he would have someone call me, that didn't happen, I then called back on October 17th, spoke to another rep. Again he says he would have someone call me, I did receive a call and message on October 20th. I returned the call October 22nd, spoke to a different rep and a supervisor, a very rude lady. She told me that there was nothing they could do, she says I never informed her staff of me changing the lock. If I didn't inform company of me changing the locks why did they have managers/supervisors returning my calls, I believe they would have scheduled technicians. So basically this company charged my a hundred dollars for work that left my family and home at risk. The manager I spoke to displayed very poor customer service, basically said she didn't believe me, says her technician explained the situation. She asked why I changed my lock, I explained I couldn't take the chance of someone entering my home.Product_Or_Service: Door lock repairOrder_Number: XXXXXDesired SettlementI don't mind paying the service charge because the technician came to my home, but charging me for a service that didn't happen is unacceptable. But I was not given an option of restitution by the supervisor I spoke with.
Complaint--------- Forwarded message ----------From: [redacted] Date: Tue, Dec 9, 2014 at 7:27 PMSubject: Complaint Against BusinessTo: "[email protected]" Cc: "[redacted]@yahoo.com" I am filing a complaint against www.[redacted].com ((901)401-1065 & (901) 209-4191). On Thursday, December 4, 2014, I telephoned the locksmith company at 4:06p.m. because I was having problems with the lock on my door. The gentleman who answered the telephone asked me what type of problem I had with the lock. I told him that I could lock and unlock the lock from the outside of the door, but could not lock or unlock the lock from the inside. He told me that I had a problem with the cylinder and that it would have to be rekeyed. He also told me that it would cost $15 for a service charge and $19 for the lock to be rekeyed and $19 for each additional key that I wanted made. I gave the gentle my address and he scheduled for someone to come to my home. At 4:54p.m., no one had arrived at my home so I called the company back and I was told that a gentleman had indeed called me but got no answer. I did not answer the call because it was listed as out of state ([redacted]). He told me that he would contact the gentleman again and send him to my house. The gentleman did call me back at 5:05p.m. and told me that he would be at my house in one minute. In about five minutes he arrived at my home. Which was great timing.Once the gentleman arrived at my home, he immediately told me that he received an order which stated that I was locked out of my home. I told him that I told the gentleman on the telephone that I could not lock or unlock my door from the inside of my home. It was important that I got the problem fixed because of safety concerns. He looked at my lock, tried to insert the key and couldn't, and then sprayed WD-40 into the lock. All this time he was making small talk about how if I had gotten a new lock it would cost me $250 because he has a family to feed his family and the company would have to make money off of the service. I told him that he needed to just replace the cylinder because I did not want to have the same problem again. He told me the cylinder did not need to be replaced because nothing was wrong with it. My key was bent a little because it had gotten stuck it the lock -that's why he sprayed WD-40 into the lock. Anyway after he finished, I asked what my charge was and he said $65. I told him that was ridiculous price and he was overcharging me. He told me that I could call the conpany and they would back him up. I called that company at 5:24p.m. and I spoke with the gentleman who answered the phone. I voiced my concern and he stated, "What did he tell you the charge is, then that's it. I decided that I would speak to a supervisor the next day so I paid the gentleman $25 cash and called the rest of the payment in at 5:32p.m. so that he could leave my house. The next day I called the company at 1:00p.m. and asked to speak to a supervisor. I kept getting the runaround once I stated what the problem was. I was told that they would have the supervisor call me back. At 5:14p.m. I still hadn't gotten a call so I called the company back. I was placed on hold and then hung up on. I called back again at 5:17p.m. This time I spoke with a gentleman who claimed to be a supervisor. I explained to him what my concerns about the service was. The first thing that he said to me was, "The lock was changed so what is the problem." I told him that the lock was not changed all that was done was WD-40 sprayed into the lock. By this time, I was highly upset. He accused me of constantly changing the story. I told him that the conversation was being recorded and I had not changed my story. I also told him that I was going to report them to the Revdex.com and [redacted]. The problem is this: I did not get the lock replaced. I felt like the guy overcharged for the service. I would have been satisfied if the gentleman had charged me $15 service charge and $19 to change the cylinder. To charge me $65 for spraying WD-40 into the lock is unacceptable. I feel the company owes me $30. I was not going to argue with a gentleman about money and I was alone. The best thing for me to do was to pay him. I wouldn't have known if the gentleman was armed or not and besides, in good faith, I did owe for the service. I am asking you to please look into this matter because I am sure this is not the first time that this same company had done someone like this. If necessary, someone can come to my home and check for themselves to see if the lock was changed. Sincerely,[redacted](901)[redacted]rMemphis, TN 38109
The website advertises $20 fee for answering a service call and an additional $35 minimum charge for opening the door of the car. The website boasts 15 minutes arrival time. The dispatcher told me 25 minutes. At 30 minutes, I called the technician. He said he was going to call me. He was pulled over for speeding on the highway. His actual arrival time was 65 minutes after the dispatcher sent him. When he arrived, he waived the $20 service call fee for the delay, but he charged $140 for the door unlock. There was no alarm on the car, and the actual unlock took moments. I agreed to the service only because I missed the entire concert and my eleven year old son was sitting in Bass Hall alone waiting for me. I called two days later and spoke to [redacted] who was inconsiderate and dismissive. He did not care that I would file a complaint against his company. He offered no apology and no partial refund for a clearly over priced service.Product_Or_Service: car door unlockDesired SettlementI would like a refund for the overcharge. Aaron's Locksmith offers a flat fee of $55 per car. Therefore, XXX-XX = $85 refund is reasonable.
I was quoted the wrong price for the specific product I asked for. I recently called for a quote for a new car key, said it needed to be made and programmed. I was quoted at $119. When I asked if this was the cost for a key and programming, the man replied yes. I said I was going to call another company, I was told this was less expensive than the dealership. When the technician arrived, it was $230. He replied that was the base price for a key that needs programming. This was NOT what I was told. The base key I received was far more expensive than the dealership. Also, it took the technician over two hours to arrive. The man on the phone said it would be soon as well as the website stating about 20 minutes.Desired SettlementI would like the price I was quoted of $119 and the service fee refunded since it took well over 20 minutes.
