Purchased Ice O Matic machine in December, 2015, model #GEMU The end of April, 2016, the machine stopped working so I contacted customer service called *** to set up a date & time for repairs on May 10, It has been a month since I first contacted customer service and my machine has still not been repaired I contacted Ice O Matic & talked to a manager named *** last week and she just referred me back to ***
The only reason why I chose this machine was the star rating! I feel the company should replace my machine since their customer service (***) has been unable to successfully locate a repair person here in my area
On May or 25, 2016, I called Ice-o-matic's service department phone number about our under warranty residential ice maker that is not working so see about getting a warranty repairThey said they would work on itI called several times between this date and June 8, Same answer: they are working on finding a qualified repairmanSo I emailed customer service on June 8, No replyOn June 16, I called customer service and was told I need to keep bugging the service departmentSo I called and again was told they are actively looking for a repairmanAs of today (June 28, 2016), I still have not heard from Ice-o-matic about this issue
I received an Ice O Matic ice machine Model #ICEU070A in December of to replace a Model HISUthat had only lasted months After months the replacement has stopped working I called Ice O Matic to request service under the clearly stated warranty in the Service and Installation manual that came with the machine It states that the warranty is for months This was verified by Eric in their service department He affirmed that the warranty expired on 02/26/ In fact Belan, also from their service department, stated that she would just give the service company a credit card number to pay for the repairs I had an awful experience trying to locate a service professional to come to my residence to diagnose and repair the machine The common response was that they didn't have insurance for residential repairsI contacted at least appliance repair companiesI called Ice O Matic to tell them about the issues and they told me that the machine only has a month
I purchased and installed a ice-o-matic in April 2-and installed it at my home in marathon Florida on a convered porch The weather in marathon never get below degrees or higher than degreesThe machine ices upThe company will not repair under warranty because it was not installed in a climate controlled areaI feel this is totally unfair
We purchased and had professionally installed an Ice-O-Matic ice machine at our EMS station The machine stopped working and we called as it was still under warranty The repair company came out and said it needed to be cleaned and charged us $ A year later it stopped again We called Ice-O-Matic, as it was still under warranty, and they had us call the local repair company that they contract with to make an appointment The repair company came out and replaced several parts at the direction of the Ice-o-matic repair department manager Now the repair company is sending us the bill for their repairs because Ice-o-matic never paid the invoices They are saying we owe them $ This is from the first repair in We have already paid $for the repair this year Ice-o-matic does NOT honor their warranty Do not purchase a machine from them
