The manager of this location judged us for having 5 dogs and proceeded to call the police on us for their perceptions and stereotypes
We were referred to this place by somebody who had clearly not been there in a while but we do not fault that individual for the shortcomings of this establishment. For starters, we dropped our dogs off on Friday 12/11 because we were going out of town for the weekend for my birthday. We were getting back and picking up the puppies on Sunday 12/13. Immediately the manager [redacted] was judgmental in her treatment of my wife with snide comments and general disdain. [redacted] started her verbal disrespect of my wife in questioning how much we cared about our dogs saying "most of their clients think of their pets as their kids", as if we did not. Then they proceeded to question how well we took care of our pups because they were a little underweight. The question alone was not the issue but how it was worded and verbalized was. They had all recently had their vaccinations updated and annual vet appointments completed. The vet noted the weight in a couple of them and recommended a change in the food we were feeding them to help them retain more calories. We dropped close to $1000 in those vet visits and vaccinations and that was before paying the $350 cost of boarding them for the weekend with Petite Pooch so I would venture to say we care about our pets a great deal. Upon our return, the rude and snotty manager [redacted] then proceeded to tell my wife we could not have our dogs back when my wife was there to pick them up. Keep in mind [redacted] asked for payment AND A TIP prior to saying this. She then informed my wife that she had called Addison Police because she thought we were just going to ditch our dogs there and never come back and that because they were underweight and had fleas so they were being abused. Has this lady never been around dogs before. The Vet even told us that fleas were rampant because of temperatures in the area and squirrels that were carrying them. All of our dogs were on flea medication. My wife through tears had to explain our [redacted] story and how we take care of our dogs to authorities that had no business being called. We obviously came back for them and obviously cared for them after $1000 in routine checkups and vaccinations and having them already on flea medication. To top that off we just dropped $350 with this crappy company to board them for the weekend while we went out of town.If somebody neglects their dogs they do not pay $350 to board them and make sure they are taken care of when they go out of town. I am beyond [redacted] at everything we have gone through because of this nosy employee and her pretentious attitude. A refund of our $350 would be a nice start to making amends but beyond that I want an apology from this woman [redacted] to my wife, either on the phone or face to face. We could have easily sought civil damages with the money I have spent clearing this up and have not decided yet whether to pursue that course of action.
