Basically, Miss Wdidn't do the job she was paid to doNow she's covering up her poor workmanship by creating a lot of pointless "noise"! I'm here to provide the facts, againThe first picture depicts exposed original finis

Revdex.com spoke to Tricia and the following was relayed: I have never had the problem the customer is claiming with any of my work, including the other pieces he has with no complaintsI put layers of paint and layers of sealer
I was contacted by Mr*** to refurbish dressers and a nightstandHe expressed over and over again of the sentimental value of the furniture to me and how they belonged to his deceased grandparents. He told me the furniture was years old and made of solid oakWe discussed a design for
the furniture and Mr*** decided on a grey color based off a picture that I had shown him(Included in the attachments) I picked up the furniture on 4/14/with the assistance of my mother, *** *** and her husband *** ***I inspected the furniture at Mr***'s residence and noticed that there were quite a few nicks and uneven surface on the top of the dressersI explained the process to Mr*** of what needed to be done to restore the furniture. I also noted that the furniture was in fact veneer and not solid oak like he had stated it wasI restored the furniture to the best of my ability and with the quality of furniture I was working with, the final product came out beautiful(Photos Included) When returning the furniture to Mr*** on 5/15/17, it was wrapped in cloth, strapped in on a trailerWhen arriving at Mr*** residence, we removed the cloth and straps to reveal the finished product and the first words out of his mouth were "oh, I should of chose black instead". Given that statement I knew he was unhappy. I informed him that that was the color he chose*** helped him move the furniture to his bedroomHe paid the remaining of his balance and we left. Hours later I started to receive a mass amount of messages from Mr*** with a myriad of complaints about the furniture with total exaggeration. He stated that the stain on all of the drawers was coming off and he was wiping and wiping and wiping it for hoursHis story then changed to it only being one drawer. I directed him to leave all the drawers open in the dresser in the warm apartment for them to dry overnightI explained that it had been colder during the weeks of refurbishment and it may not have cured completely. I didn't think this was the case being that morning of delivery I had myself along with my fiance, picked up the drawers to put them into the dressers and nothing was on our handsAlong with the fact that after he had complained of stain coming off we checked the cloths that they were wrapped in for delivery and nothing was on them as well days after his first complaint he messaged stating that the now drawer that had stain coming off had come off onto his bed sheetsIf he had prior knowledge of that one drawer having stain coming off of it, why would he set it on his bed sheets? He then also stated that from setting picture frames on top of the dresser and just lifting them off there were scratches in the paintAgain I find this hard to believe because there are coats of paint and coats of sealer on the furniture and it sat to cure for over a week after I had finished working on itWhile delivering to him we tightly strapped the furniture into the trailer and there were no marks when we removed them. Mr*** also purchased other tables from me and there has not been any issue with those piecesHe constantly contacted me for interior design advice to which I tried to help him with, but I am not qualified forHe contacted me to chat all the time as well as ask about my personal lifeHe friend requested me on *** to which I did not respond to because I felt that he was going beyond a professional relationship. I began to ignore his messagesWhen delivering the finished furniture to Mr***, he stated his dislike for the color he chose immediately and I knew that there would be more complaints coming. I have never had an issue with any of my work from any of my customers. I have witnesses to back up my statement if you need to question them as well as well as photos of before and after to show the product that are attachedThank you,Tricia W
Basically, Miss W. didn't do the job she was paid to do. Now she's covering up her poor workmanship by creating a lot of pointless "noise"! I'm here to provide the facts, again. The first picture depicts exposed original finish. It appears she didn't strip/sand the original finish and just painted over the original finish! I've only have had the furniture back for 6 weeks. Imagine months and years from now how it's going to look. Next, the marks on all the surfaces. I mentioned this before and for whatever reason Miss W. doesn't assumes no responsibility. Obviously, the paint wasn't allowed to dry sufficiently between coats. She mentioned to me she put 6 coats of paint and a sealer. She goes on that she let it cure for a week. Obviously, that amount of time wasn't adequate. I still have all my belongings on my carpert in fear if I place them on the surface they'll "stick" again leaving more unsightly marks. Next, the surface on the dresser has a noticeable"patch" on it(not stripped/unsanded)and painted over original surface undoubtedly. And this was the result. This was one of the reasons why I wanted my furniture done in the first place to sand and strip the surfaces. Something I asked her to do during the initial process! Lastly, the top drawer of the dresser is damaged. I believe this was due to from the use of an electric sander. I know I told Miss W. that all the furniture was oak. I was going by what my mother told. This furniture was her parents furniture which they purchased 75 years ago. I would think Miss W. would've inspected the wood before she proceeded. Again she's the expert. After the fact a friend showed me the veneer layer on the drawer. Someone in the wood restoration/refinishing business should've easily identifified! It seems someone independent needs to take a look at the furniture and make an assessment. There's always three sides to a story and it appears we won't get to the bottom of this one until this takes place!
