2nd Street Ring Craft Reviews (4)

I had the same experience as the other reviewers. Bought my husband's wedding ring from this seller, in large part due to the many positive reviews on Etsy. After about 9 months of wear, the ring started to smell bad. Then just shy of our first anniversary, the wooden interior cracked and fell out of the ring. The vendor did not reply to my initial two messages, and then offered to replace the wood piece. Why would we do that - so we can go through this again next year? He refused to give a refund. The ring cost almost $300 and lasted less than a year. Most people would agree that a wedding ring should last a lifetime. It is absurd that this seller is able to benefit from the flawed review system on the Etsy site, which does not allow customers to update their reviews or leave a review after 100 days. I would love to be able to warn other potential customers not to waste their money. It's also a sentimental product, which makes it that much more emotional to have it break. This seller is a dishonest con.

I purchased a ring from this shop for my husband in 2016. He was happy with it at first, but after 18 months, the wood cracked and started to pinch his finger. A couple months later the cracked piece of wood slid out altogether, to the point that he couldn’t wear it anymore.

When it broke, we contacted the store owner to ask him to fix it or offer a refund. He said, “the carbon rings cannot be repaired. I can make a replacement ring for $60 if interested.” I told him that I was hesitant to pay more money when I didn’t get what I paid for the first time. He said he wouldn’t be able to offer any refund. I bought this ring to last a lifetime, but it only lasted 18 months.

Keep this in mind when you buy your ring. This ring will last a 18-24 months, if you’re lucky, then you’ll have to go buy another ring. Also keep in mind that he makes these rings for $60 or less and marks them up 250%. You’re not a getting a quality item that will last.

Review: I had almost the same experience as the other complaint. My husband's wedding ring broke months after our wedding. The ring was not misused, my husband's job doesn't require manual labor. I reached out to the business, he only replied after I started a credit card dispute. I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and paid for shipping and return shipping to get it fixed. Less than two months later, before our one year anniversary, it broke again.

[redacted] wouldn't let me change my initial glowing review, but they did allow me to remove it. This guy is taking full advantage of their faulty review system. There are several sellers selling this type of ring on [redacted], I chose this company because of his great reviews.

From the previous complaint, it looks like this guy received bad Facebook reviews until he turned them off.

My husband tells me I should let this go, but it's difficult. This one of the most personal items I've ever bought. It's the ring in our photos, it's the ring I put on my husband's finger when I said "I do." I had expected it to last a lifetime. I really hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund to be able to purchase a new wedding ring for my husband, and this company needs to be removed from [redacted] or change their review policy so that no one else is deceived.

Review: I had ordered a ring from this company for my fiance' at the time to be his wedding ring. About 5 months after the wedding the ring broke. My now husband liked the ring because the inside of the ring is lined with antler and then the outside is titanium. The antler had separated from the titanium piece. I have reached out to the owner of the company over Thanksgiving weekend asking if he could repair the ring, as he was so kind to resize the product slightly when we first got the ring, but I have not heard from him since I sent the message over Thanksgiving. The thing is that of those 5 months, my husband had only worn the ring for maybe 3 of those months due to field training with the marine corps. After not hearing from the owner I did try to do a little more research to see if anyone else has had issues with this company since ETSY only let's you post comments within the first month after receiving the product or so. I did find through facebook that I am not the only person who has had a problem with this person and the quality of their rings.Desired Settlement: I would like for this company to have their business removed from ETSY since the product is not the quality expected, which is to last a lifetime. I want a full refund to go and buy a new ring for my husband. I do not want anyone else having the same issue I ran into, being deceived about the quality of the product. This person should not be able to continue to advertise and sell their product.
