$3 Car Wash Reviews (8)

I spoke with *** from the company and he said that there was a damage claim filed by the consumerAn HR representative comes to the shop and reviews the damage and then makes a decision*** stated that the consumer's claim was denied

Ms***:Thank you for choosing Rio Car WashOur wash process is very safe and gentleWe wash cars using blue strips of cloth that are kept very wet and lubricated with water and soap so that dirt and particlesdo not become embedded in the cloth and scratch, dent or cause damage to carsWe
reviewed the photos that were sent in along with your claims form and the only way for anything to come off of your vehicle is if it were already looseThis pre-existing damage would have caused the part to be loose, which is why it was damaged in the washYou can watch cars go through the wash and see that vehicles are safe to go through and parts do not come off unless there is pre-existing damageFinally, there weren’t any other claims of damage, of this type during that dayThe same equipment that washed your vehicle also washed many other vehicles that day without incidentFor these reasons we are unable to accept liability for your claimI am sorry for any inconvenience this incident may have caused youThank you.Sincerely,Richard D***

Regards,
Dear *** ***:Thank you for your letter regarding the complaint I filed
with the Revdex.comI am rejecting the business's reply as they stated that there was
a prior defect with my carI take my car to be washed on a regular basis and I
can assure you that there was no defect with my driver side mirror which had to
be replaced after it was broken going through their car wash.I have enclosed a copy of the following:• Your letter dated 4/12/2014• My original receipt and claim filed with the car wash• The receipt from *** to have the mirror replaced, which
cost me $*** (total invoice was for $*** which included a bulb being
replaced).I had another adult in my car with me (my sister) who can
also attest that as we were going through the wash there was a loud bang on my
car door and when I looked to see what it was my mirror was broken offI
immediately pulled up to the car wash office and had someone come out and take
a picture and then filed a claim with them for the damageI have my car
maintained at *** on a regular basis and there was never an issue with my
mirrorTherefore, I do not accept their assessment as they completely
dismissed my claim without any responsibility at allI believe they should
take some responsibility for the very unreasonable/high cost I had to bear for
the repair cause by their car wash. Please feel free to call my cell if you wish to speak with
meThank you very much for your support in this issue

Given the nature of the damage, we cannot accept liability for the damaged mirror housing.  With the high volume of vehicles that go through the wash, more vehicles would suffer similar damages if it was caused by equipment malfunction.  The blowers, as well as all equipment, are checked...

and maintained every morning to ensure proper function. When a mirror is damaged in a wash, it is the result of preexisting damage or worn clips/adhesive.  You are welcome to watch vehicles going through the blowers and see that side mirrors attached correctly make it through without blowing off.  For this reason, we are still unable to accept liability for your claim.  I am sorry for any inconvenience this incident may have caused you. Thank you.

The person who took a look at my car came out of the business, walked around my car and walked back in, he never examined the car and in my opinion just discounted my claim altogether.  I would like to know if I have any more options with Revdex.com or should I move on to my next option.  Cause I know my car was damaged by using their product and I need to know where to go now.  Do I need to hire a lawyer or should I approach this differently?

Review: Use the car wash every two weeks regularly, but this time the blowers blew the glass out of the mirror assembly on the drivers side door, shattering the mirror, I pulled out of the wash with the mirror hanging on two wires bouncing on the door. I immediately pulled in to the office spoke with the Manager Terrence Smith who had me fill out a form on the computer in their office. Please note no picture was taken at this time. I was told the Car Wash will respond in 2-3 days. Seven days past and no response, I called the office no answer, then I drove to the wash a week later and was told the computer system had problems. Now the same Manager wants to take a picture, I asked why wasn't the picture taken the day this occurred? No response. Since the incident I wedged the shattered mirror back in the assembly, and that's the picture he takes? I disagreed and told him the mirror was hanging on wires when this happened and this gives a false impression of what really happened. I was told don't worry I will tell my boss that. I received a response stating there must've be a problem with my vehicle and this won't be covered. I disagree and expected satisfaction.Desired Settlement: Replace the damaged mirror the Car Wash caused.

Review: On May 14,2013,I took my car to the [redacted] for a car wash.In the start of its process it for 3 to 5 minutes. It started back up after the process was of over I noticed that my car was scratch and immediately brought it to thier attention and offer to have pictures taken.I was told to fill out a claim. At which time,I did. There was an employees who saw my car and agreed that something happen. (THEIR RESPONSE via email)Mr. [redacted],I received a copy of your claim and I am familiar with what took place yesterday. One thing I need to know is did you file this claim on site,or did you file it when you got home?I just wanted to know if pictures were taken on site or not.I am not at that location today, nor will I be at that location for a few weeks. Please let me know as soon as possible so I can get your info forwarded to the claims department.Thank you.[redacted](MY RESPONSE via email) I brought it to the attention of one of the workers on site immediately when I noticed it.I ask if they wanted to take a picture and the gentleman stated no but looked at it.The location was at the massaponax site. (THEIR RESPONSE)Mr. [redacted]:Thank you for choosing $3 Car Wash.I spoke with the manager who was working on May 14,and he stated that the conveyor did in fact shut down. He did also state that when the car wash turned back on,that all of the equipment did not turn back on.However, while this part is true and the cloth was not moving, the cloth still is unable to scratch a vehicle. The cloth is kept very wet and lubricated so that it does not harm any vehicles while they go through the car wash. This still holds true whether the cloth is moving back and forth, or if the cloth is turned off.In fact, there is less force or pressure Therefore,it is impossible for the cloth to cause scratches on a vehicle. For this reason,we are unable to accept liability for your claim.I am sorry for any inconvenience that this incident may have caused.Thank youDesired Settlement: Admit the fault and ask to see my car. The scratch is there and we could go from there.

Review: I purchased a monthly plan to have my car cleaned by [redacted] car wash. I own a [redacted]. Because of the advertisment on their website that says their methods of cleaning was safe and clean from harming the body of the car I went with them. Due to the bad weather we had this pass February I took my car thru their car wash almost every day during the month of February and into march. Also due to the weather I never washed my car myself, that's why I purchased the month long service from [redacted]. The weather finally broke and I cleaned my car myself and notice my car, which is jet black, was completely covered in light scratch/scuff marks. I first retuned to the [redacted] car wash and request they take a look, and was told by the manager he would not look at my car cause no one else had complained, to which I really understand what no one else complaining had to do with me. So I then went to their website and filled out a complaint form and stated in that form what happen when I returned to the [redacted] car wash. I was contacted by another manager and he requested that I come by. I did and he came out and walked around my car and walked back in without really examining the paint and told me I would be hearing from his management office. Today I received a email letter from the second manager explaining to me how they accomplishment they cleaning process and what they use and that no one else has complain, and they were saying that I shouldn't complain, cause no one else has. I'm not sure what no one else complaining has to do with me, and maybe no one else has notice and maybe no one else has examined their black vehicle yet. I've had a body repair expert look at my car and was told it was consistent with circle of some material like car wash brushing moving over the surface of the car. He asked me was the car being rinsed off before the wash with all the salt we were having on the roads and I told him that isn't one what they do at [redacted] car wash to which he said that should be comment practice with as much salt as we've had this winter.Desired Settlement: Return the car's body paint to the state it was in before I started the service. I just purchased this car, less then a year ago and paid 75K and I would like to at least have the body retain its value for a few years. The body of the care is completely damage.
