Review: I purchased Continental tires from 3 J's less than a year ago. Continental offers a warranty that covers and replaces any tire issue that happens within a year. A few weeks ago, I had my car inspected and a bubble was found inside the tire. I went to have the tire replaced and the manager was very rude and defensive. I did not have a receipt and asked if they could look back into their records. They said they could not find it because they just recently started recording/documenting their receipts digitally. They finally decided to honor the request and the car was bought in for repair. I paid $30 for labor. After multiple hours of waiting according to my girlfriend who took the car in for me due to my work schedule, they finally replaced the tire. Less than an hour after leaving 3 J's, the new tire they put on the vehicle was flat. We contacted 3 J's and whoever we spoke to said they didn't recall us being there and asked that we come back to the shop so that they could inspect the tire. We contacted my road side assistance (Geico) who came out, filled the tire with air and inspected the tire. They did not see a whole or anything caught in the tire so they suspected that the tire was not filled properly. We were unable to return the tire that day because 3 J's was closed. The next day the air pressure in the tire went down again and I replaced the tire with my spare. I brought the tire back to 3 J's yesterday and there was a huge gash underneath the tire thread. No nail or sign of trauma but a gash about a quarter inch wide that 3 Jay's claims could have been caused by a razor of some sort. They said that I was responsible and that they gave me a new tire that I destroyed. They also told me to look at this from a business standpoint saying that it's been difficult giving away free tires to honor this warranty. I believe 3 Jay's gave me a faulty tire and did not want to assume the cost for giving me a new tire. They intentionally replaced my old tire with a faulty tire to claim that they followed the warranty and to force me to purchase a new tire. They also kept the tire which I am trying to retrieve so that I can have it inspected by another Continental dealer which I was told to do by Continental in a case like this. I believe this was done purposely due to the defensive manner in which I was treated.Desired Settlement: I want a brand new tire from Continental that will be covered under my warranty. I will choose a dealer to place the tire on my vehicle. Finally, I would like to have 3 J's investigated for their business practices. The chances that a new tire would be destroyed within an hour after driving out of the repair shop after initial complaints from the vendor about having to replace the tire because of a business expense is slim to none. I would like this looked into and investigated as soon as possible.
