The company had to come back to make sure the pilot light in the furnace was working correctly. This was only done at my insistence. Their technicians did not consult repair costs during a second visit. The company charged me extra labour and unexpected cost for parts even though the repair should have been dealt with during the first service. The manager had, in fact, agreed not to charge extra over the phone.
I contacted this company when my furnace stopped working and after being frustrated with another company who had sold and installed my furnace.
Victoria Coal & Heating was very responsive. When I called and explained the problem, the receptionist was very sympathetic and said she would have their senior technician call me right away. He called, and because it was late in the afternoon set a time for the next morning. He came out as scheduled, diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, and came back the next day to fix the problem. He didn't mind while I looked over his shoulder while he pulled the furnace apart and very good and patient at explaining everything.
I was so impressed at how responsive and professional everyone was from the receptionist, the owner and [redacted] the technician. I will now get them to do my annual servicing and would highly recommend them.
