I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
In response to the comments made by the business I DID NOT LEAVE MY CLOTHES IN THE BAG OVERNIGHT!As soon as they brought them to me I opened the bag and smelled the mildew or sour smellHowever it was already late when they brought them to me and I was in the middle of cleaning so I called at 6:am because I was still awake and had just finished all the cleaning I hung the wet clothes up overnight to see if that would help the sour odor but it did not helpI am sure they would not want to wear clothes that stink the way mine didWhen I called at 6:am I was told to call back when the *** came in which was approximately or amBUT MY CLOTHES STANK AS SOON AS I OPENED THE BAG NOT BECAUSE as THEY SAID I LEFT THEM OVERNIGHT IN THE BAGWHY WOULD I DO THAT? As I said I hung them up overnight and I told that to the man that picked up my clothes in the morningThey obviously didn't hear what I told them or maybe didn't want to hear
I will not pay for clothes that came back to me smelling sour as this was either due to a dirty machine or maybe they left my clothes sitting in the wet bag but I honestly believe that they put my clean clothes back in the dirty laundry bag that they were sent inIt wasn't the only bag that smelled but the others weren't so bad which is why I did not mention it in the original complaint
This is not the first time I was not happy with the laundry results but never complained about itI was told by another worker that the new people are not doing the laundry properlyThat was said after I complained to the worker about the situation at which time I was told to call back later when the *** came in

Review: I am a 59 year old disabled woman. Since my accident it has become very difficult for me to do my own laundry. For the past 4 or 5 years I have been using this place 3 Lucky Star. They pick up and deliver the laundry for me. They have always done a great job with my clothes. I have had some minor complaints over this time period but never did anything about it because it wasn't that bad. They have been great with following my instructions with each bag of clothes. I have everything separated and tagged so they know how I want it done especially since most laundries are manned by workers who don't speak good English but they seem to follow my instructions. Yesterday, 5/**/14 I sent out my clothes and when I got it back one of the bags smelled sour. They smelled worse than when I sent them there dirty. This morning, 5/**/14, I called them to complain and was told that they would redo those clothes for me. Let me add that one of the workers I spoke with told me that the people that work there now don't know what they are doing. It is customary when this happens that the clothes are rewashed at no charge. However when I got my clothes back today they still smelled sour which tells me that either they didn't wash them or they ruined my clothes. I don't know if I will ever get the smell out. In addition to ruining a whole bag of clothes they wanted to charge me $15.00. Needless to say I was very angry and when I came in the house to get the money the delivery guy left. I called the laundromat and spoke to the [redacted] (or so she says). They tried to put the blame on me that I didn't hang up my clothes fast enough. They don't know when I hung up my clothes so how are they going to assume this? In the past I have gotten my wet clothes back from them and left them in the bag for a couple of hours with no problem and no smell. Whatever they did I am now left with a bag full of stinky pants. And they want me to pay? Are they kidding me?Desired Settlement: The first thing I would like is for this business to be inspected for clean machines if that is possible. I will never use them again but now what do I do with pants that stink? I would like a partial refund of the $50 I paid in total for the entire laundry. They tried to charge me $15.00 after ruining my pants I would like them to instead pay me $15.00 which doesn't even cover the cost of all the pants in the bag. If this is not possible I would at least like an apology for ruining my pants.

Response:
Hi. My name is [redacted]. I am the laundromat [redacted]. On May **, 2014 afternoon, I washed her laundry ([redacted]) and charged her $49.00 for it (10 small separate bags, 9 bag for wash, dry, and fold, and one bag only to wash and fold (no dry)). Her laundry was delivered on May **, 2014 before 6:00 PM. The laundromat closes at 8:30 PM. She called in the next day (May **, 2014) for a rewash of her laundry. That means she kept the wet garments overnight. That is what created the stink. On May **, 2014, [redacted] went to her house to pick up the wet laundry along with another small bag. I charged her $15.00 for the order. I washed them and it was delivered later that day. Furthermore, only NYC water and Tide was used to wash her laundry. There was no way we created the stinky smell. It would be appreciated if she could pay $15.00 for her order.
