I have read the owners reply and he is incorrect in stating that my car had the rear crack in it, it did notYes they did put tape on it which is still left where they placed it and I will be forwarding you a picture of the pieceIf it were already cracked as he is claiming, it would have ripped off at the crack next to where the tape is located, not on the other side of the tape markAfter the piece came off he told me that they knew*** and *** had that issue is why they placed tape on itI asked if they knew that and they put tape on it as a "precaution" why did none of his employees inform me of what they were doing? And let me make the decision to go through his carwashNowhere is it posted that*** and*** is prone to come off like thatI have previously sent you a picture of the only sign "warning" customers of what they are not responsible forMy part is factory not after market
He and his employees failed to inform me what they were doingThe recall that he called*** in reference, please see attached from ***He does not know what he talking about
Also, it says there is a class action against***, I had no reason to be a part of that class action since my piece never cracked!
I feel like if he would have informed me of the possibility of it coming off and then giving me the opportunity to make the decision to go through his car wash then none of this would have happenedI would not have sent my car through that car washAt no time did he tell me or nowhere is it posted that may happen to a *** or *** vehicleAs I told him, just because he was aware of that problem, I was not!

Over time, and in varying weather conditions, the trapped water creates internal stress on the tailgate resulting in a large discernable crack to the panel. [redacted] vehicle had the same defect that alerted my employee to put a tape where the panel was loose. Our car wash has soft clothes, chemicals, and water to wash vehicles. we do not use force or any sharp objects to cause damages. in fact [redacted] had her vehicle washed in December when the temperature for many days was below 32. the water that trapped beneath the partially glued plastic panel had turned into ice and caused further damage to her panel.
