My External hard drive died. It had my life on it, including our business and $300 got almost all of it back. The other company wanted to charge me $1800. I am so happy that I only had to pay a quarter of that. They are very professional and responsive. I recommend them highly.

Hi Kim,
Thank you so much for your rating, review, and recommendation! We're so glad to hear you saved $1500 by choosing $300 Data Recovery!
Thanks again,
$300 Data Recovery

Ironically, I was backing up my hard drive with all our family pictures/videos and out of nowhere, the drive died. Windows couldn't recognize it, I couldn't access it and my stomach felt like it was about to shift into reverse and empty its contents. I went to the local PC shops, all of which said they could send it off to a data center to get it retrieved. When I got the quotes back from these data places, they only wanted a paltry $2000. Look, we needed our data back, but for $2000 we almost, with very very sad hearts, decided it was a done deal and we'd never see our photos/videos again. So I kept looking around, found $300 Data Recovery's website, and instantly became an unbeliever because their prices were actually reasonable.
To be honest, I thought it was too good to be true. I went to their review section and after going through the incredibly high amount of perfect scores they've earned, I decided it had to be legit. Wow, am I so grateful I did. They recovered all 2TBs of our data for $400. Now if I do my calculations right, $400 is a lot less than $2000. I have never so happily given a company money than I did with $300 Data Recovery. To be honest, it made me pretty angry at the other companies who tried to charge thousands of dollars when $300 Data Recovery charged hundreds. The whole process took a little over a week and now all our family memories are recovered and safe (I'm currently backing them up to two different drives as we speak). If you are not sure whether to give these guys a try, just do it, they are amazing. They provide an invaluable service and unlike the other companies out there, they don't rip their customers off while doing it. They were able to successfully remove a gargantuan amount of stress from our lives and for that, we are extremely grateful. Thank you $300 Data Recovery! We literally love you guys, no seriously are you seeing anyone? How about dinner? ð???

Hi David,
Thank you so much for such an awesome review! We're so happy you found us after being quoted a ridiculous price by another company and you got back your data for a fair price!
Thanks again,
$300 Data Recovery

Don't waste your time and money with other data recovery companies that *** you around. 300DDR is upfront with their prices and turn around time is fast. They are in communication with you every step of the way and are happy to answer questions. I had Western Digital external hard drive that gave out on me (bad head) and they were able to recover 83% of the data to a transfer drive, luckily all my important files were on that 83%. I mailed in my drive and had it mailed back without any issues. Data recovery is kinda of pricey but I appreciate how upfront they were with their pricing. Highly recommended.

What a great company! Not only did they recover everything on my broken hard drive, but their price was over $1000 less that the first 2 places I mailed my drive to. They contacted me every step of the way and were honest and upfront about the process and the cost. Couldn't be happier. I'd recommend $300 Data Recovery to anyone.

Excellent company to work with. They gave me a quote for the recovery of my data, including an amount for possible contingencies. They kept me informed all the way through the process, from receiving my hard drive to sending it back to me. When the bill came through, it was for the amount quoted. Ten days after shipping my crashed hard drive to them, I have my data up and running on my new computer.

Their communication was thorough, their prices were transparent, and their work was exceptional! All of the data that I foolishly hadn't backed up was recovered and sent back to me very quickly. Hopefully I won't have to recover data again, but if I do, they'll be the only company I go to. Highly recommended from this photographer!

Thank you very much for your rating and review! We're so happy to hear you were pleased with our company's transparency and recovery outcome, and we appreciate your recommendation!

They were spectacular! Honest, straight forward about what was achievable, extraordinarily quick and more than affordable. Took them 5 days from initial inquiry, to drop off to being 100% recovered.

Also their transparency, direction and communication throughout the entire process was great. Received updates usually once a day about the status. Once everything was finished - their step by step verification process was easy to follow.

5 stars!

Excellent! $300.00 Data Recovery saved my LIFE. My systems analyst spouse could not effectively resuscitate my Zip drive, though he did diagnose "code blue". After much discussion, further SOS's to other experts, the decision was made to drive across Southern California on a Friday to arrive in Studio City. The experts at $ 300.00 Data Recovery would later decide that "nothing could be done" in Studio City though the recommendation was to send my Zip to "the guy in London who should be able to do something." $300 Data Recovery handled everything. The cost would increase by $100 but who cares?! After about eight weeks, my Zip was returned to the U.S.A. cured!!!!! All data (years and years) was still there. I can't thank them enough for their accurate assessment, their spot-on recommendation to send Zip across the pond and the subsequent FIX!

I highly recommend $300.00 Data Recovery.

Hi Denise,
Thank you so much for your rating and review! We're so happy to hear your recovery was successful with our flash partner in the UK! The fact that Mark was able to recover your data means other companies would have charged at least $1500 for the same work (and probably closer to $2500).

Save my data and my wallet!

Was quoted $2200 by another vendor to recover data from my failed ssd. $300 data recovery got it done for exactly what their company name advertises and the turn around time was remarkably quick!

It's very amazing that I live right in the middle of Silicon Valley where a lot of these storage devices are first thought up, and yet the most efficient and best pricing comes from a place down in LA. The service was fast, and for $300 I got all my data back. Places up here were quoting prices upwards to $1000.

I shouldn't have ever had to be in this position to begin with, but that's a different story for a different day.

Ordering the slow process takes about weeks between the approvals and having to find files available to save and transfer, but if you have a USB drive expect to pay $for the completionAll files were recovered and transferred to another backup drive that I providedPaying $up front to start the process and it is applied to the future balance due, then another $for accessing information in a clean room environment, then the $addition at the end for the USB connectionIf they would just state that $is the maximum price up front instead for a 5OO GB drive and asking for additional charges sounds like a shell gameNot a good practiceMake the initial contract straight forward not with if and or buts

They were able to recover all our files! Thank you guys!

For those thinking, "What the heck have you written, I'm not going to read all that!": Trust this company. They were friendly, informative, and diligent in sending me daily emails about the status of my hard drive. The entire process took a little more than a week. The price tag isn't too good to be trueI paid $300 for my data to be recovered and $15 for shipping. And if you want to know the full story (I know some people, like me, rely heavily on detailed reviews), a novel awaits:

My story begins in October 2016. My phone froze in the morning and was unresponsive till the night, when it finally started working again. My brother suggested that I back up the data to my laptop in case my phone stopped working completely. But during the back-up, something from my phone went into my laptop and my laptop screen became a weird pattern of green-black-white. When I tried to turn my laptop on, it only said "No operating system recognized". Wow, I thought. I lost two devices in one day. It was a bummer but back then, I didn't care too much about the data in my laptop. I resorted to using the family laptop.
Fast forward two years, and the family laptop had become slow and unresponsive at times. My brother said perhaps we could try fixing my old laptop since it had been a perfectly good laptop. I agreed. He took it to several repair stores around the neighborhood, but either they didn't know what to do or the price tag was too much (I would have had to pay for the repair and I was a broke high school kid). I continued using the old family laptop.
By my senior year of high school, three years after my laptop broke down, I realized that I was growing increasingly attached to what remained inside my dead laptop. My data. Articles and pictures of art techniques, organized in their multiple folders. A giant document embedded with cliches in writing and how to avoid it. Personal entries. But most of all, the stories I wrote in the wintertime. I was becoming nostalgic. Above anything, I wanted to read those stories all over again. But it was gone.
Part of the reason I was so eager to read it again was because I had uploaded half of a story onto Google Docs and never bothered to upload the rest. I found that story in my senior year, thought the story would be unbearably cringy, but ended up finishing the sixty plus pages within an hour. I was itching to read the rest. But the rest was inside my dead laptop. Would I ever get to read the ending?
In June 2019, my younger sister read the half finished story. "You have to get your data back!" She said. "I want to know what happens next!"
And thus began my search for a data recovery company. How much was I willing to pay? I was about to graduate high school and although I had more money than when my laptop crashed, I still wasn't rich. Google reviews led me to NYC Computer Help, a tiny store tucked away in the busy streets of Manhattan. I handed my drive to them and they said they would give me a free diagnosis and let me know the price.
The next day, I was standing outside the gates of my high school in the boiling June air. I called them and gripped my friend's hand for moral support. They had finished the diagnosis. The price? $950+ dollars. I think I fainted onto the pavement. I picked up my hard drive and thought to myself, I suppose I'll just get my data back when I'm an adult and financially stable.
I searched fruitlessly for any other data recovery companies. I filled out a form for one in Bronx, but one of their helpers called me two minutes later (I did not expect it) and was overly eager for me to take my hard drive to them. I looked at their Google Reviews and they were a horror story company: they take your drive then charge you unreasonable rates if you want your data ($3000). If you don't want to pay it and want your drive back (without any data being recovered), they ignore you. I blocked their number and continued my search.
I still don't know what led me to this websiteI had done so many searches by thenbut somehow, I stumbled onto $300 Data Recovery's page. I filled out their chances form, which was incredibly detailed, and got a $300 price range for my data recovery. Impossible, I thought. I was sure they were either fake, or they were real but my data recovery would be obstacle prone and I'd pay several hundred more.
I looked at their Google Reviews. They had a pretty excellent rating, but what greatly increased my trust in them was the fact that they took the time to reply to both the good and the bad ratings, to clarify any misunderstandings. For me, personally, I feel that if a company replies to bad reviews, it shows their authenticity and transparency. I had a great time reading through the bad reviews and the company's hilarious responses to their customers (it was the customer's fault). Okay, the trust had been established. I submitted the mail-in form July 1st, 2019.
Months passed, but I didn't ship my drive to them yet. This was because of two reasons: 1) I wanted to save up even more money and 2) I was, quite frankly, terrified of the post office. USPS has horrible reviews and I've never been to a post office before. I didn't need an agent yelling at me for my incompetence. So scary!
In November, I had saved up enough. On 11/2/19, I persuaded my brother into going to the post office with me. He said he'll do all the talking. I told him I'll love him forever. I had ordered free Priority Mail Express boxes online (they were bluethis becomes important later), and I was expecting to pay $15 in shipping. So when the agent quoted a price of $45, I was shocked. My brother, brave soul that he is, asked why it wasn't $15, upon which the agent got irritated (no surprises there) and said the blue boxes are Priority Mail Express. The red boxes are Priority Mail and cost $15. Well, you learn something new everyday. I grabbed a red Medium Priority Mail box, ran home, repacked the drive, and my brother gave it to the post office the same day.
I watched the package for the next two days, using the given tracking number. It arrived at $300 Data Recovery on 11/4/19 and a day after that, I received an email from them saying they had received my drive and needed my permission to continue with the recovery. I said "YES!" I received two more emails the same day, the last one saying my drive had reached the front of the queue and that it would only cost $300! I was thinking, "dang they work fast (and the price is so cheap)"! Still, I was nervous. I kept feeling that I would fall into the group where data recovery would be impossible (they told me hard drives have an 80% successful recovery rate). How could I be so lucky as to get my data back? Isn't it too good to be true?
But the NEXT DAY (11/6/19), they sent me a beautiful, green-colored email saying they had managed to recover 99.997% of my files. I think I stared at that email for a minute in blissful shock, before finding the strength to reply back.
On 11/7/19, I was informed that my data had been moved to my transfer drive (I provided one) and that they had a listing of all the files that has been recovered. I frantically downloaded the listing and instantly experienced a strong sense of nostalgia. Everything was there just as how I had organized it. Most importantly, my story was there. I couldn't see the content of the files yet, it was just a listing of the names. Not yet, but soon I would. I approved of the files there were there and received an invoice for payment [$315 ($15 for shipping)]. I paid it and was promptly informed that my drive with the transfer drive was ready for shipping.
My drive was shipped on 11/8/19 and I watched the package travel back to me. It was out for delivery on 11/12/19, but didn't deliver because there was "no secure location" available, according to USPS. I ran to the post office the next day and picked it up myself (thankfully no one was rude).
In all, they received my bad and good drive on 11/5/19, and I received it back on 11/12/19. I hadn't paid for priority service but it sure felt like it was priority service (not to mention that the bulk of the wait time was because of shipping, which is out of their hands).
I carefully took my package home and plugged the transfer drive into my laptop (I have a new laptop nowyay!).
And what happened then? Well, let's just say that $300 Data Recovery worked their magic.

$300 Data Recovery

I am generally a DIY person. After doing a lot of research, I decided to open up my drive and take matters into my own hands in an attempt to fix my drive after being dropped. I was unsuccessful, then I decided to use $300 Data Recovery. This ended up being a a great decision.

They kept me aware of what was going on with my drive every step of the way. Somehow, they were able to get my drive running and recovered all of my data; files, pictures, favorites, etc. The entire process took about a week. The cost for me was literally $300 plus shipping costs $25 both ways.

I am extremely satisfied with their service and highly recommend using $300 Data Recovery.
