Fantastic company to do business with. Very open and honest in what they tell the customer. Will not do any work until customer approves of the work. They strive to resolve the issue and turn around the product to the customer quickly.

I thought my data, all my music, pictures, and movies were lost due to disk failure. Saw an interview by the owner of $300 Data Recovery gave them a try - and Wow! They recovered everything, when another computer company told my data was lost forever. $300 Data Recovery's professionalism, detail, and integrity was fantastic. I would highly recommend them.

Hi Bonny,

An exceptional service provider! This company was able to recover 99.999% of my data by performing a head swap (for which I was not charged for any additional labor and only the cost of the donor drive I purchased). I likely saved $1425 by using $300 Data Recovery! Remember this is the only service that gives you prices up front! So much more preferable than having a company come up with a price once they have your data and you are extremely vulnerable.

This is the real deal....a trustworthy company that has their act together 100%. Of course not everyone will end up with as positive an outcome that I was fortunate enough to experience, but I have absolutely no doubt that you couldn't place your faith in a better company and even if they hit a brick wall, they would trustfully guide you to any other viable recovery options available based on their experiences.

If you are looking for a data recovery service with fair prices, excellent customer service, honest, experienced and knowledgeable technicians....you can stop looking now because you've found one! I would highly recommend $300 Dollar Recovery to any individual or company that found themselves in the unfortunate position of having a hard drive failure and I would use them again in a heartbeat.

$300 Data Recovery lived up to their reputation and exceeded my expectations. Professional and experienced technicians, wonderful customer support, extra careful packaging, etc. If you need a data recovery service you can trust....stop looking now because you found one! Thank you $300 Data Recovery!!!

I dropped my external hard drive and my computer was no longer able to read any of the files on it. I thought all of my files were lost but a friend told me about $300dr so I sent in my old external hard drive along with a new one and they were able to recover all of my files and transfer them to the new working hard drive for me! 10/10 would recommend, great service at a great price :)

LYING CHEATING AND MISLEADING!!!
They up-sell, overcharge for "Donor Parts" which they get to keep and don't recover ANY data at all. I'm out $30 for shipping, $219 for a donor drive (they claimed they needed new heads) then claimed they couldn't recover any data due to "platter damage" but were happy to refer me to another data recover company (www.platinumdatarecovery.com) who"may have better luck "and whose rate is usually "around $1,200"
Sounds like scam partners in cahoots with each other.

$300 Data Recovery Response • Jul 03, 2018

We NEVER lied, cheated, or mislead you about ANYTHING. We CLEARLY explained EVERYTHING to you before you AGREED (in writing) to proceed with our recovery attempt.

We charged you the exact price we paid. We sent you a link to the most compatible donor drive we could find on donordrives.com (a company we have no affiliation with). We told you the price of the donor drive and told you if you purchase the drive so we can try a head swap, we will keep the drive regardless of the outcome. In fact, we wrote this (edited due to Revdex.com text limits):

"If you'd like to pay for a donor drive that we can use for a head swap (and hopefully recover your data), then we can try to continue recovering your data. If you do not wish to pay for the donor drive, then you may cancel the recovery now and pay nothing. The most compatible donor drive we could find (http://www.donordrives.com/mq01abb200-aa00-ay000u-hdkfb02aza01-t-toshiba-2tb-sata-2-5-hard-drive.html) cost $219.

Please keep in mind that in some cases, the "head swap" may fail to give us access to your data (or multiple head swaps will be necessary). This may be due to platter damage, platter/cover alignment, or incompatible heads. The only way to know if the "head swap" will allow us to recover your data is by attempting the repair.

If you wish to pay for this donor drive and continue with the "head swap," we'll need your agreement that regardless of the "head swap" outcome:
1) We will keep the "donor" drive
2) If the recovery is successful, we will also keep the "bad" drive.
There are several reasons why we need to retain the drives after the recovery is finished:
1) The time spent re-assembling the "bad" drive and the donor drive means double the work. This extra time makes the recovery unfeasible to perform at our low rate.
2) We can only perform time-consuming head swaps knowing that we can reuse our donor parts in future recoveries, keeping our costs down and low flat rates possible. In order to help preserve the donor parts, so we can re-use them in future recoveries, we don't want to risk moving them any more than is necessary. Moving the heads back into the donor drive means the heads are more likely to become damaged (as any time they are moved they are at risk).
3) Any time the cover is removed (and especially, the "heads" replaced), the drive is no longer reliable and will not work properly. It is only useful again as parts for data recovery purposes."

Initially, you declined this option. Then 30 minutes later you wrote back with links to donor drives you found. Then, 10 minutes after that, you wrote back again saying, "Disregard my previous email, go ahead with it. Send me the invoice." You then paid and we ordered the donor drive. As you can see from clicking the donordrive.com link (as of July 3, 2018), this drive is now out-of-stock because we bought it.

Once the donor drive arrived, we swapped the heads but were still not able to recover any working "files." We were able to recover some sectors on the drive before the new heads failed again due to platter damage (which isn't a big surprise, since your drive failed because it was dropped, and a drop often causes some platter damage due to the heads coming in contact with the platters). We emailed you:

"We know the head swap was successful (meaning: the heads from the donor drive were compatible) because after the head swap was finished, we were able to see your drive's "full ID" (model/serial/size/firmware version) using our data recovery tools. After the head swap, we tried several techniques to recover your data, including (but not limited to):
PCB Swap: we moved the patient's ROM to the donor drive's PCB and starting the patient drive using the donor PCB.
Firmware Tweaks: we changed various parameters within your drive's firmware/service area to stabilize the drive so it would ID/read.
Unfortunately, none of these techniques allowed us to recover any "usable" files from your device. In this case, we believe the problem is platter damage (no data can be recovered in this situation). There is still a chance that another company may be able to recover some of your data. If the data is very important to you, and you can afford a higher cost for recovery, it may be worth getting a 2nd opinion (just like you'd get a doctor's 2nd opinion regarding a serious medical issue). However, we think the chances of recovery with another company are slim and the cost will be very expensive if recovery is possible."

We only offered this option so you could get a 2nd opinion, for one reason, to confirm we weren't lying and this was the actual problem. But more importantly, to give you a 2nd chance at possibly getting your data back with a company willing to spend potentially thousands of dollars on donor drives, as recovering your data will likely take several donor heads (as they will keep breaking due to platter damage).

We did EXACTLY what we said we would do and tried our best to recover your data.

A update in Windows 10 seemed to have corrupted the drive. Originally tried to use an off the shelf data recover software for $100 it recovered the files but they were all corrupt. Stumbled across $300 Data Recovery when searching for other options. Was extremely skeptical since most other companies were in the $1000 and up price range but I thought I would give it a try. The entire process only took a little over a week I received the drive today with the recovered files and couldn't be happier. All the files that I cared about are there. Would like to also add that there communication was excellent and they quickly responded to any questions I had. If you think your data is loss try $300 Data Recover First

Very fast, professional, honest, and courteous. They communicated effectively throughout the process. It was at a price point I could afford. So glad they were able to recover my photos from three separate vacations. Everything went super fast from sending it in to getting it back. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend $300 Data Recovery. After contacting some high priced data recovery companies, I stumbled across $300 Data Recovery through a google search while looking for a more reasonably priced service. Any initial skepticism created by the straightforward company name was quickly eliminated after I read over their website as well as the reviews on several sites. I also saw that the company has an A+ Revdex.com rating. I even watched some testimonials on youtube from satisfied users who had positive experiences and spoke with the folks at $300 Data Recovery who answered all my questions and assured me that if they could not retrieve my data, I would still be able to take my drive to another company. I also received an email after I submitted an initial inquiry by answering questions specific to my situation and drive and found that they had worked on my drive model several times before with great success. With nothing left to lose, I gave it a shot. I was very pleased by the incredibly fast turnaround and results. Within about a week from start to finish I had my data loaded onto a new drive and at much less expensive price than the big name competitors. I hope I never have a drive crash again. However, if I do, I'll definitely contact $300 Data Recovery.

I had to have my hard drives from a Raid NAS recovered. I got quotes from other companies ranging from $600 to $3000. My data was very important to me and if money wasn't an issue I would have paid those prices. Then I found 300dollardatarecovery. I have had a drive recovered in the past by another company and the service I got from 300dollardatarecovery was fantastic. I was updated with during aspect of the recovery. I hope I never have to get something recovered ever again but if I do I will only go to 300dollarecovery. Please don't listen to the other companies that say you can't get fixed pricing. Thank you 300dollarrecovery.

Hi Dennis,
Thank you so much for your rating and review! We're so happy you didn't listen to other companies say "flat fee data recovery is impossible or not to be trusted." The truth is we DO offer flat fees and charge MUCH less than those other companies and often get the SAME or BETTER results than them. The only reason they can get away with charging such high prices is that people fall for their lies. We could charge what they charge, but instead, we choose to charge a FAIR price with the goal of helping people that cannot afford the unjustified high prices other companies charge.
Thanks again for your business and review!

The folks at $300 Data Recovery were fantastic to work with and true to their word! They kept me advised of every step along the way - and didn't charge me when they couldn't recover my data. They even went beyond what others would do and give me options for recovery beyond what they can do. I was very very happy with my experience and will be sure to pass *** their contact info to all my friends and family as well as for any future problems I may encounter!!

Very professional, quick and easy communication, every single step was carefully explained. My particular case was a little difficult and required a lot of back and forth, given the amount of communication and detail required and the added labour that it took I am extremely impressed that this company was able to do such a good job for so little cost. I would recommend it to absolutely anyone!!!

I've had a broken Western Digital hard drive for more than 12 years. It contained mostly pictures of my kids when they were still babies. Throughout the years, I've contacted multiple data recovery companies. All of them were charging an from $500-$2000!. Then I came across $300 Data Recovery. They did exactly what they said...recover the data for $300. They kept me in the loop each step of the way. But most importantly, they were able to get all the information from the hard drive for me for $300. I shipped the hard drive to them, they had it back to me in about a week!

This company is outstanding; after my hard drive crashed and a local technician couldn't recover the data I searched on line for data recovery. I found the cost to range from $400-$1,200 with quotes for me specifically being around $800. I just couldn't afford that. I then found $300DataRecovery and from the first email inquiry I sent until they delivered a transfer drive with 100% of my files recovered they were outstanding, with frequent email updates, and phone calls. This company is amazing and I am forever grateful for their help and professionalism. They do what they say they will do and a reasonable rate.

Be Aware!! They do not do exactly what they describe. They will NOT transfer your recovered data (which I still don't know what I have), to a replacement drive for your laptop or desktop - as it seems they would do when you read through their terms and conditions. They will put recovered data (still suspect as to what I paid for) to a cheap portable external drive, that you end up paying an extra $80 for! And now I have to STILL buy a new hard drive for my laptop, and then figure out how to put whatever data was recovered back into it? I feel very duped and ripped off. I would search elsewhere....

$300 Data Recovery was able to clone one of my hard drives from my Drobo, and I have all my files back, AND they charged me a minimum amount compared to other data recovery companies, who wanted to charge as much as $6000. The best part was that they made me feel important, and let me know that my data was recovered with an email that started out, "Yippee!" I can breathe again. I will praise them to the moon and back!

I was apprehensive about the service. $300 was great, communicated daily with updates and retrieved my files.

Ordering the slow process takes about 3 weeks between the approvals and having to find files available to save and transfer, but if you have a USB drive expect to pay $510 for the completion. All files were recovered and transferred to another backup drive that I provided. Paying $50 up front to start the process and it is applied to the future balance due, then another $260 for accessing information in a clean room environment, then the $200 addition at the end for the USB connection. If they would just state that $510 is the maximum price up front instead for a 5OO GB drive and asking for additional charges sounds like a shell game. Not a good practice. Make the initial contract straight forward not with if and or buts.
