I found that their stuff left a lot to be desired. Got hard drives back after paying$310
and got back useless files as not given to them They did put together in folders only single files not work music albums not play continuous

Sent a damaged and donor drive. After a diagnosis, I was told only a small amount of data could be recovered. If I wanted to proceed, I would be charged $150 for this amount of data, no matter the data was useful to me or not. I denied the service and paid $115 for diagnosis and shipping to get the drives back.

No hidden fee. They basically followed the procedure posted on the website. The customer service was good. But there is no way to comment their knowledge or skill since no data was recovered, and I have never tried the other companies.

We used to shoot wedding photography and our contract stated that we would hold files for 1 year. A couple from over 3 years ago contacted us to make a nice purchase. Miracles do happen! And sometimes they're relatively cheap. Several years ago, a 1 TB external hard drive of mine seemingly went bad - as I looked at the directory tree in Windows Explorer one day, the directories just started disappearing until nothing was left. No odd noises, just nothing there. That drive was supposed to be a backup but turned out to be the only copy of a LOT of photos and audio files so I did nothing as I considered options. I bought SpinRite and gave it a shot. It ran for a couple hours then crashed. EVERY TIME. I contacted the vendor and was told to adjust the BIOS to slow down the SATA interface (by this point I had removed the drive from the enclosure so it was no longer a USB drive). No such setting. Tried different machines as recommended. Nada. Tried all kinds of different options in SpinRite. Nope. So I put it aside. I decided that I simply didn't have the software or hardware or knowledge to keep trying but I still wasn't ready to spend $1000+ to recover the drive. I don't think that my efforts to this point had been destructive at all so I still had hope but no firm plan. A few weeks or so ago, I happened to run across this video *** and felt like it would be a good last ditch option for the drive and would be cost-effective (if nothing could be recovered it would cost only $100). So I sent the drive to them. A few days later, they notified me that they had recovered what they claimed was 99.99% of the drive and will be copying it to a new drive. I had my doubts. They sent me a file directory that showed 232,000+ files and they were my files! I was such a happy camper. My cost was $300 for recovery, $75 for a 1 TB external drive on which to return the recovered data and $15 for return shipping. WELL WORTH EVERY PENNY! Just like they say in the video, they kept me aware of everything at every step along the way and waited on my confirmation to continue so that there were no mistakes. I used the chat function several times for quick and professional answers to questions that I had both before I committed to the recovery and while it was ongoing. I consider this recovery nothing short of a miracle. They have my respect and gratitude.

I looked into several data recovery companies online and none came anywhere near close to the value offered by $300 Data Recovery. Literally, it's in the title$300 for the standard data recovery, for which mine qualified. Do note that if you don't live in the LA area and have to ship the device, you pay for the costs of shipping. However, at $300 for the data recovery service, even with shipping it's still by far the best value out there.

Beyond just value, they also did a great job recovering my data. My 2TB (which was pretty full) external hard drive fell down the stairs and wouldn't connect to any computer afterwards. $300 Data Recovery was able to recover somewhere between 80% and 90% of my data, which is excellent. Note that they do a diagnostics first to let you know precisely which files are recoverable, which could be recovered, and which are probably too corrupted to recover. So, worst case scenario is you don't move forward with the data recovery after the diagnostics, but at least you have a full list of your files, which at least gives you a chance to put them back together.

In addition, the folks at $300 Data Recovery are very responsive to emails and questions. They also take privacy very seriously and encourage their customers to send them a non-disclosure agreement, which I did.
