Review: Upon purchasing a new car we were offered an interest rate from the dealership that we accepted. Several weeks after the purchase transaction, a credit union (of which we had no knowledge) contacted us and told us that the dealership opened the car loan, a savings account and a [redacted] in my name. I feel as though the dealership has violated our privacy and impacted my credit by opening accounts without our knowledge and specific authorization. I tried to call [redacted], the general manager three times to resolve this but he did not return my calls. I think that this is a violation of data protection privacy laws and is unethical. The Acura dealership also did not use the correct address even after being informed several times during the transaction and following the transaction. We were also contacted by the dealership to perform a satisfaction survey. The sales person told us that any rating other than a "10" would cost him his job. I don't think that this is right to the employee and also the survey adds no value if you cannot offer any feedback other than "10's".Desired Settlement: I would like written verification of anyone or any business that has been given access to my personal information, and anyone or any business who may have future access. I would like copies of all information shared or that could be shared with anyone or any business before, during or after this transaction.
