I have purchased vehicles thus far from DriveI have been very pleased with the cars that I've boughtNext time I am looking for a car, I will not hesitate checking the inventory at
On 08/29/my daughter and I went to Drive on Nolensville Road to look at purchasing a vehicle We found a car that we decided to purchase but had only a $for down payment We left the lot and within minutes we received a call from Drive stating that we could purchase the SUV with only $down We drove back to the lot later on and upon arriving we notice a policeman was at the lot talking to a couple(That should have been a dead giveaway) We did not know why and no one said anything As we sat with the "Runt" of a salesman named Eric he kept changing the down payment and amount He continued to call and speak with this man whom we learned later was Andrew Finally, Eric gave the phone to my daughter and she was talking with Andrew and he was telling her that he needed more moneyAfter minutes of going back and forth with Andrew and Eric I decided to call it quits and not to buy a car As we were pulling off Eric approached my car and went over and told my daughter that they agreed to take the $as down payment Eric told her that it was okay if I left and she would just drive the vehicle home I received a phone call from my daughter maybe to minutes later stating that Eric snatched the $out of her hand and told her she had two minutes to leave the premises I immediately went back to the car lot and my daughter was in the office with Eric He ran to the door and locked me out While in route I called the police to ask them to send someone because my daughter's phone call kept going to voice mail He told her she was not going to get her money back and she did not have proof that she had $ As I was standing outside the door two vehicles pulled very abruptly I did not know who they were The man (I found out later was Andrew) jumped out of his Black Cadillac calling me ***, animals trash and other choice words and telling me to get off of the property while I was on the phone with police dispatch The dispatch heard all the commotion and stayed online with me till the officer arrived Once the officer arrived we were told that we would have to file a claim in small claims court even though we did not sign a bill of sale or any kind contract However we did get a receipt for the $from a white man and he told us we could come pick up the money on the following Monday We went to pick up our money on the following Monday morning and upon arriving at the bank there were four more people in line cashing their check due to their unethical practices I have never feared for my life and I have never dealt with a company with such unethical practices I have never been called out of my name and treated so horribleI have never had someone to just take money the way they did (Just imagine how many undocumented citizens this has happened to) I feel that this company is a nuisance to Davidson County and needs to be shut down The to star reviews on this site had are from the inside
321 Drive is the worst company I have ever done business with. If I had the time, I would stand by their front door just to try and save as many people as possible from entering into any form of business with them. They sold me 1 car with the promise of an exchange within 72 hours if I didn't like it. I now know that the law in Tennessee is actually a return not an exchange in a 72 hour time period!! BUYER BEWARE! I returned said first car after their technician confirmed with me that the screeching noise and shaking of the vehicle was " not normal, and if it keeps doing it...just bring it back". Mind you, the car was never fixed, I guess I was just supposed to live with it until I it fixed its self?? I returned the first vehicle and upgraded to a gorgeous red truck. The truck ran well for 28 days and then began to break down randomly. I took it to 321 drive and was not only told they had fixed the issue, but they also took 7 days to do it and charged me a fee for the service. I was told that with in the first 30 days of ownership, all service fees were free. Their reasoning behind the charge was that at the time the vehicle was ready to be picked up ( 7 days later) I was now out of my 30 day time period. (Bill =$100.00) The truck continued to break down. I used up all my free tows, all my boyfriend's free tows, and then spent $475.00 in total on more tows and uber rides to and from 321 Drive. I was also taking uber to and from work because I was out a vehicle. ( TOTAL COST $ 375.00)
The worst part has not even happened yet!!
I finally after two months of back and forth to and from 321 drive could not do it anymore. I was paying 500.00 dollars a month plus service fees, plus uber, plus extra tow charges, plus insurance at a high premium because I have a financed car.. all for a car that was not working. I also made a very bad decision and originally put 6,000 as a down payment for the vehicle thinking this was a " smart decision" I know STUPID!! Such a bad move when dealing with a company who screws over everyone.
Moving on...
I walked into 321 drive, truck on tow truck waiting to be unloaded in lot AGAIN and sat down finally with a manager.
I explained to [redacted] all the problems I had and he was relatively fake sympathetic. He told me that they would do whatever they had to, to fix the truck or I could exchange it for a different car. I asked if he would just take the car back and he could keep the payments I had made. ( 2,000) for a car that worked for 28 days. I really tired everything I could think of to just give the car back, get my deposit, and move on to a new company.. or at least by a 6 k car with no payments !!! My only option was to "exchange" the truck for another car on their lot. [redacted] said he would give me a FAIR price for my troubles. I just could not wait and see for another month for two or three if they were ever going to fix my car... It was costing me too much money.... SO I chose to his words not mine " exchange the truck for a similar priced SUV".
OFCOURSE the SUV breaks down not more than a week after I began driving it. THREE CARS. 2 and a half months of payments and insurance, and two and a half months of ubers and tow truck fees / service fees in!!!!! I am DONE!
I ran to 321 drive, demanded I speak to a manager and waited in the office for an hour. It wasn't until I started stating loudly in the office how much bs I went through and that I will be getting a lawyer that a Manager ( you all know who) came down to talk with me.
I demanded that they give me back my deposit and they can take the now 3500 dollars plus service fees as a consolation. HAHA WRONG ! The end result was a fee of 175 to fix the third car. YES THEY CHARGED ME. and the heartbreaking truth that they tricked me when I returned the truck for an "exchange" . Because I had had the truck for a ' long time" it was not considered an exchange, but instead a trade in! In this situation, instead of having 6,000 down on at least the third car that will hopefully work, I instead started the process all over again with the SUV. 6,000 gone, my first three months payments gone. The "fair price he gave me on the SUV was 1,500 off the sticker price" ...
I at this point have now given 321 drive 9,250 dollars and have a balance due at 15,500.00. For a car that costs 15,500 all due to my trade in not exchange deal I was scammed into.
I have had the SUV for two years now and am making on time payments of 250 bi weekly every other week. It has been running well ( YAY) but the paint job 321 gave it when they rebuilt it is peeling off making my supposed 15,500 dollar car look like a piece of junk.
In addition today, the company and I had a misunderstanding about billing and they have now over charged me 500.00 not 250.00. Guess what.. NO REFUND!
I finally have the finances to hire an attorney and will keep you all updated. I think a Class Action should be in the works after reading more posts!
