Bought a van, broke down, got fixed & then it got sold We bought a 2002 Dodge Caravan on August 24th 2012, they did on lot financing for us. We put $1000 down and payments were $200 a month beginning in September. We made all required payments per the agreement. In May of 2013 we began to have problems with the van. We spent over $800 on it to try to fix it ourselves but it didn't work. It left me stranded about 30 minutes from home. We called the car lot & they came out 2 days later to pick it up & take it to their garage. They loaned me a van with dealer tags until mine got fixed & told us not to worry about the payments until mine got fixed. They had it for 6 weeks and didn't know what was wrong with it so therefore they took it to another garage, that garage had it for more than 2 months and they couldn't figure it out either. One day an employee of his went down to the other garage to pick my van up. I called 32nd Street motors after I found out that they had the van back and was told that they knew what the problem was and when it was gonna be fixed. Now keep in mind that we called everyday to both of these garages to check the status on the van. My mother was hospitalized in October and I was out of town. [redacted] called my husband and demanded that I take the loaner van back and that he had sold my van. We had personal belongings in the van that he worked on and found out that he threw everything away. Now the loaner van we had to keep putting transmission fluid and oil in it all the time and even had to spend $125 on a new battery cause the battery that was originally in it we had to charge it up every night. We have spend between down payment and payments $2600 on my original van. Desired SettlementI want my money $2600 that I have paid on that van back. Plus the $800 that I am out of that I spent on it to try to fix it. I also want the $125 that I spent for a new battery for the loaner. I tried to talk to him today and he said that there was nothing to talk about. He even told my husband that when my mom was in the hospital that he didn't care
