44303 March 13, Dear Revdex.com: Re: Complaint ID- *** I received a letter dated March 7, on March 12, addressed to Flats in regards to a customer complaint from Tina ***l appreciate the opportunity to resolve this issue with the Revdex.com, as well as directly with the customerPlease see below for a response to the Revdex.com's inquiry about the customer complaint from Tina ***-The customer (complainant's son) came to Flats on 9/22/2017, when he first visited the propertyThe first piece of documentation that he filled out was a guest card, which we require from all prospective tenants interested in touring our propertyThis guest card asks for basic information (name, phone number, email, major, how you heard about us, etc.) The guest card is in no way a lease agreement-Flats representatives followed up with the customer a number of times after his initial visit to let him know about specials and availability as he had expressed his interest in leasing with Fla11/6/2017, the customer came back to the Flats office and stated that he wanted to sign a lease agreement for a 2xunitAs he is over the age of and meets our rental criteria, we allowed him to sign the lease agreement, per his requestThe Flats representative spent time with the customer going through the page document indicating that it was a legally binding document, and communicating our policies and procedures throughout the lease agreementThe top of the lease agreement states that the document is a lease agreement, and it indicates that the customer's lease dates would be 8/18/2018-7/31/This document also breaks down his contract amount and monthly installmentThe team at Flats clearly communicated that the customer was signing a legally binding documentHe said he was excited to live at Flats and that he would mail the deposit ($300) and guarantor paperwork (required) back to Flats as soon as possibleThe customer was sent home with the necessary documentation to complete paperwork for his lease agreement- On 11/18/Flats contacted the customer inquiring about the additional paperwork/required deposit, and the customer said he would return it to us-After making several attempts to receive the necessary paperwork, the customer stated he had signed a lease somewhere elseFlats informed him that he had signed a legally binding document and he would need to find a releaser to take his lease agreement over, per his signed contract -On 3/5/the customer's mother called Flats and spoke with the Leasing Manager, stating that she would take legal action in regards to the lease agreement signed by her sonAs the customer's mother is not listed anywhere on the lease agreement, we could not discuss the customer's specific lease agreement with her, as it would breach the customer's confidentialityWe discussed the general policy on how to release a lease agreement at Flats, per a signed lease agreementOn March 13, 2018, I (Brittany M***, Property Manager) reached out to the customer via phone to let them know we would be cancelling the customer's lease agreement due to his failure to complete required documentsWe hope that this resolution satisfies the complainant and resolves the inquiry by the Revdex.com.Please contact me directly should you require further documentation or informationThank you, Brittany M*** Property Manager SDepeyster StKent, OH 330-677-
