I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute
Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below.*** ***I am honestly not interested in doing business with your company ever again. If you can't fix an oil leak in visits and weeks what makes you think you can fix it 'one more time'? I have expressed my concerns with your technicians abilities as well as your shops ability to get my truck fixed to *** many times and all I get is 'give us one more time'. I have asked for my money back on the fix or let me take it to another shop and you guys can pay the bill. If the truck was too old for you to fix an oil leak you should have never accepted the job in the first place. I also have some serious concerns with your response that my truck never leaked oil while in your possession. If this is the case then what in the world were your technicians sealing, and replacing, and cleaning up that took visits and weeks of my truck sitting at your shop? Why did they have to replace the timing cover for the second time if it was not leaking oil on my second visit? Why did they tell me it was leaking from the crank shaft positioning sensor and to replace it if it never leaked while in your possession on my third visit? After I replaced the sensor and it was still leaking what were your guys 'sealing' if it was not leaking on my 4th and 5th visits? If it was never leaking then why did *** continually ask for more time to fix it because it was still leaking when I would call in for a status update? I agree, the work has been completed more than once by your shop but it has yet to be completed correctly. I have no interest in allowing your technicians to touch my truck again. If you cant be responsible for your work on an aging truck then you should have never accepted it in the first place. Since you did accept the work initially and are now saying that you can't be held responsible I would again like to request my money back for the oil leak fix and the alignment that I had to get at 4wheel parts. Also, *** recommended me getting a second opinion on the alignment to which I did which cost me $and it corrected the alignment. So at the request of your manager I got the second opinion and the work completed and corrected. Again, I would like to request my money back on the oil leak fix as you even stated due to the trucks age you can't guarantee your work plus the cost of the alignment that I had completed at the recommendation of your manager.
Regards,
*** ***

Mr* ***I have to ensure you that you are no longer dealing with *** and I am here to make this right for you As for your questions:Why did they have to replace the timing cover for the second time if it was not leaking oil on my second visit? We warrantied the part to correct the issue of the leak, and no issues after that from the same cover however you did have leaks from the sensor Why did they tell me it was leaking from the crank shaft positioning sensor and to replace it if it never leaked while in your possession on my third visit? It was 100% leaking from the sensor that YOU replaced and that's all we corrected.*keep in mind, when we diagnose the truck, we had to clean the whole undercarriage in order to properly diagnose the oil leak you are having. After I replaced the sensor and it was still leaking what were your guys 'sealing' if it was not leaking on my 4th and 5th visits? We diagnosed the issue and found no leaks from the sensor or the front seal after we fixed both but did replaced the oil rings that connects to the oil cooler. If it was never leaking then why did *** continually ask for more time to fix it because it was still leaking when I would call in for a status update? *** best interest was to have you happy and that's all he wanted And again, it was not leaking from the same spot we had fixed. If you don't feel comfortable bringing your truck here, that I understand and cannot force you to bring the truck here for me to actually see the leak first hand and get to a fair resolution Without you bringing the truck, there is no way to fix your oil leak I feel I have tried my best to come to a resolution with you, let me know if you'd like us to look at your truck and make you happy However there will be no refund on the fix

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute
Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below.I asked *** several times for my money back on the oil change or to pay another shop to fix it and he refused because your shop 'performed' the work. He kept asking for 'one more time' and we will see what we can do. After that 'one more time' and it was still leaking I would ask 'what is the next step ***' and he would say 'bring it in one more time'. My argument was that my truck has been at your shop for weeks in all to fix an oil leak (minus days for the lift) and it is still leaking which I advised *** on many many occasions. Honestly I really don't care if it wasn't leaking in your shop driveway. If the oil leak is fixed it will be fixed after leaving your shop miles, miles, miles, miles. I paid your shop to fix an oil leak and after weeks of it being in your shop it is still leaking oil, according to your lead shop mechanic it is still leaking from the same place. I can provide phone records showing how many calls I have placed to Cowboys in Arlington. In fact, it was a rare occasion when I actually received a call from Cowboys which I can also prove from my phone records. The fact is, I paid your shop to fix an oil leak and after weeks it is still not fixed. I would like my money back for the oil leak fix as well as the $for the alignment job that I paid 4wheel parts to fix because you don't have the right machine to align lifted vehicles. You can verify this by contacting the manufacturer of your alignment machine as I did after speaking to NTB and others who refused to do the alignment on a lifted vehicle and recommended taking it to 4wheel parts. At this point I am not asking for much, I am only asking for my money back on the oil leak fix as well as the alignment of $that I paid to wheel parts which I feel is very fair considering the hassle and time spent at your shop, driving back and forth, having others look at the vehicle at the recommendation of ***, and being without my vehicle (regardless of whether I have other vehicles to drive).

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute
Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below.Omar Omar,I am not angry with *** or anyone else regarding this matter. I am not an angry person and I have never in my entire life filed a complaint with the Revdex.com or anywhere for any business that I have ever dealt with and I only took that step because I was getting nowhere with *** and/or your management. I am an extremely unsatisfied customer by not only *** but by your entire shop, including you. I have zero confidence in your shops management, your mechanics ability to fix vehicles, and your overall customer service. It does not surprise me that you do not encounter these types of issues with other customers because you specialize in installing wheels and tires and oil changes. I am curious however, if you do not encounter these types of issues with other customers then why is *** no longer there? As an owner of the business I would hope customer service is your number one concern as repeat business and word of mouth is where most of your business comes from. I also think you are missing the basis of my complaint. The basis of my complaint is that you had my truck at your shop for four weeks to fix an oil leak and it is still leaking. I can fix the oil leak myself or have another shop fix it for me in a day or two and be done. Do you, as a business owner who cares about customer service, feel that if I brought my truck in 'one more time' and you fixed the oil leak that I would be a satisfied customer at that point? No, I wouldn't because of the amount of time wasted and the hassle!!! Do you, as a business owner who cares about customer service, feel that I deserve some sort of compensation for the hassle of dealing with your shop, the time spent going back and forth and being without my truck, and the uncompleted work? I am not asking for your shop to fix my oil leak at this point because your shop has already demonstrated the inability to do so after weeks of attempts, not to mention the damage to my fan. I am asking to be compensated for the hassle, my time wasted, and the uncompleted work. You are focusing only on the work performed by your shop and not the big picture. My request still stands to refund me for the charges of the oil leak fix. From the pictures I have provided I think we can both agree that the oil leak is still not fixed. AT THIS TIME, I am not asking to be compensated for my time, the hassle, the damaged fan, or anything else. I am only asking to be refunded for the fees charged to me to fix my oil leak. Time is money and ironically you have probably already spent more money with your time and your shops time continually refusing to refund the money.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute.
Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below.[redacted],The only reason that I had your shop attempt to fix the oil leak is because you were already doing the lift on my truck and had the cross member off and it would be easy for you guys to access.  I will admit I am a hack shade tree mechanic but I have accomplished a lot.  I have rebuilt a few engines including a 440 out of a 69 dodge charger, small block Chevy 350's, AMC 304 and 360, and a few foreign engines.  Most recently I did some work on an 89 jeep that I had that had an AMC 304 V8 conversion in it.  I swapped the 304 with a 360.  It had an exhaust leak in one of the cylinders so I had to get one of the heads machined, corrected the positioning of the engine mounts, installed HEI distributor, 4 barrel intake and carburetor, headers and duel exhaust, tuned and timed it, and fixed all of the oil leaks including front and rear main seals, oil pan, timing cover, and valve covers.  On a 96 model Chevy truck I am extremely confident that I can fix anything.  Fixing this oil leak was on my list of to do's and again I only asked your shop to try to perform it because your shop had the cross members off and it was easy to access.  My biggest complaints with your shop is the amount of time that my truck sat in a parking lot not being touched and your shops inability to find and fix an oil leak.  The last time my truck was at your shop it was there for about three weeks and your mechanics did not touch it until the last two days it was at your shop.  I fully understand the nature of working on an older vehicle and I fully understood and was prepared for your mechanics to come back to me and tell me that the oil leak was going to cost a lot more than what I thought it would cost.  I had no issues spending more money to fix the oil leak.  I just wanted it fixed.  At the end of the day I paid your shop to fix an oil leak, regardless of the age of my truck your shop accepted the job, took almost four weeks to complete the job in all after continually having to come back, and it is still leaking oil.  I appreciate your offer to bring my truck in 'one more time' but that is too little too late and [redacted] should have escalated this to you after my second visit of bringing the truck back as I was already not happy.  As I mentioned in a previous response I have no interest in ever doing business with your shop again.  I want my money back for a job that was not completed satisfactorily or in a timely manner after 5 trips to your shop and about 4 weeks of total shop time to fix.  everybody elses car seemed more important than mine and thats why it sat there so long.  [redacted] kept telling me they were busy on other cars.  at this point I will either get another shop to fix it or I will fix it myself.  I think I'm being very reasonable in my request.  I could add in my request for a new fan setup as your mechanics used a pipe wrench to get the fan nut off and now you cannot even use a wrench to take it off.  Your shop should have the proper tools on hand and knowledge to prevent such damage.  Picture included...Additionally, I would like to add that your shop could have made a lot more money off of me in labor costs.  I specifically told [redacted] that I had just purchased the truck and requested to let me know if anything else that might be wrong under the hood.  It would have taken your shop just a few additional minutes to replace the water pump and hoses which it now needs as it is overheating and the water pump looks like the culprit.  Due to the mileage and age of the truck you would think that your shop would automatically recommend a water pump replacement, especially due to the low cost of a water pump for a 96 Chevy.  After taking in my truck to four wheel parts they advised me that I need new ball joints and control arm bushings, all of which your shop could have and should have replaced when they performed the lift kit install.  The water pump and these bushings would have been more money in your shops pocket, not to mention possible other sources of the oil leak and other things.  I also asked [redacted] about some electrical problems with the truck and never got a response.  Point is I bought this truck expecting to spend between $15,000 and $25,000 in restoration and customization costs.  When I first brought my truck to your shop and spent $3k it seemed like your shop wanted my business and was happy to have my business but when I brought it back for them to fix the mistakes [redacted] always made me feel like I was in the wrong and he was doing me a favor by looking at it again, just as you have here by saying the truck never leaked oil while in your possession or making excuses for the shotty work.  'You want something done right, do yourself'

[redacted] [redacted]
[redacted]
[redacted]
Hello,
                My name
is [redacted] I’m the sales representative at 360 Cowboys Auto Center that
attended to Mr....

[redacted] throughout the entire process. On June 2nd
2015 Mr[redacted] dropped off his 1996 Chevrolet Tahoe 4x4 to install a 4’’ lift.
That same day after talking to Mr. [redacted], informing him that our wedding
machine gave out on us, and we requested extra time in order to purchase a new
welding machine, set it up and resume the job. He gave us the go-ahead to
proceed after receiving that information. Two days into the lift he asked us to
check his truck, stating that there were a few oil leaks that were there prior
to us working on the vehicle. Since we already were working in the same general
area as where the leaks were, we obliged. Upon inspection, there was engine oil
leaking from the oil pan, front main seal, timing cover gasket, and an oil
cooler “O-ring”, a job totaling of $363, including a muffler adjustment witch
is in process of being disputed. Mr. [redacted] requested to replace the power
steering pump which were parts and labor that he was charged for, as a separate
job which was separate from the 4” lift. From June 3, 2015 through June 5th
2015 after parts were installed there were no signs of leaks anywhere while in
shop custody, waiting to be picked up. Truck was picked up on June 5th
2015, after being tested with the motor running for extended periods of time
and we did not find any oil leaks before releasing the vehicle to Mr. [redacted].
2nd
visit
On June 6th 2015 Mr.
[redacted] returned to realign his vehicle, stating that his truck was unstable. Vehicle
was realigned and tested before being re-released to Mr. [redacted]. No oil leaks
where mentioned on the 2nd visit to 360 Cowboys Auto Center.
3rd
visit
On June 13th 2015 Mr.
[redacted] returned to 360 Cowboys Auto Center, stating that his alignment was
thrown off again. It was also stated that he was hearing noises from under the vehicle,
which now had oil leak. After inspecting his vehicle and the putting his truck
on the alignment machine, it was discovered that the front passenger wheel had
damage consistent with heavy impact. There was a direct correlation between the
damage and the alignment issue.  Apart
from that issue, there was an oil leak from the crank shaft sensor, and two
loose bolts on the lateral link bars. Given that we were under the assumption
that we were the last people to touch his vehicle, we went ahead and realigned
his vehicle, and re-torqued the two lateral link bolts. We gave Mr. [redacted] a
quote to replace the crank shaft sensor and he declined to do the job. He told
us that he was going to buy the sensor and install it himself, stating that it
would be cheaper for him then paying us for parts and labor, which was entirely
fine with us. (It is worth noting that the damaged wheel was not replaced or
sent out for repair at that time, which negatively effects how comfortable the
ride will be and can cause suspension issues over time.)
Mr. [redacted] picked up his vehicle
the same day June 13th, 2015. On June 16th 2015, Mr.
[redacted] called us stating that had he replaced the crank shaft sensor, but it
was still leaking after he installed the part, then proceeded to ask us if we
could fix the leak on the crank sensor. We set an appointment on June 20th
2015 to bring in the vehicle. Mr. [redacted] told me that he was going to drop off
his vehicle on June 17th 2015, stating that he was going on a trip
and he no one to bring it on his appointment date. On June 20th, we
took off his crank shaft sensor, cleaned it, and cleaned the surrounding area.
We resealed it and connected it back and let it to dry before starting the engine,
in order to find the source of the leak, which encompassed a total of 1.5 hours
of labor time @ $75 per, that was on the house. I called Mr. [redacted], and asked
him if he could leave his vehicle until Monday June 22nd, so that we
could let the motor run multiple times in a continued effort to ensure that we
re-installed and sealed the leaking parts adequately. He gave us the “ok” that
same day. Between June 20th and June 22nd, we found no
leaks on the ground. On June 22nd 2015, we started the vehicle in
the same spot, and left the engine running several times before re-release it to
Mr. [redacted]. He picked it up that same evening, June 22nd. All this
was done at no charge after he did his own labor, in an effort to show
dedication to the customer.
Two days later on June 24th
2015, Mr. [redacted] called us stating that the vehicle leaked “6 to 7 drops”. We
told him that we would call him back that same day with a scheduled date when
he can bring it in. We schedule him on June 27th 2015 recheck the
oil leak. He told us that we would be bringing his vehicle on June 25th,
because he didn’t want to get fined by his apartment complex due to the oil
leak. I advised him not to bring it in sooner, so he won’t be without a vehicle
and so he can go to work and back and because we were not going to able to work
on it until Saturday June 27th. He told us that he has another car he can use
in the meantime while we worked on the vehicle.
4th
visit
                On June
25th 2015 Mr. [redacted] brought his vehicle, two days prior to his
appointment. From June 25th 2015 through June 29th 2015
while the truck was cleaned thorough, parked and started many times no oil leak
where detected. We called Mr. [redacted] to inform him that his vehicle didn’t
show any signs of leaking oil.  Cardboard
was place under the location where we were told that the oil leak was stemming
from. There were no signs of oil throughout the 4 day period. He asked us if we
had driven his vehicle around the block. We told him no, stating that we only
started the engine, and let it run for about half an hour several times a day.
He did state that he knew that the vehicle wasn’t moved through that period of
time and took note of every time the vehicle was off, turned on or even driven.
He asked us to drive around the block one more time before he would pick it up
the following day. We drove his vehicle like he requested, then put the vehicle
inside of the shop to do one more inspection for any possible leaks.  We re-released his vehicle on June 30th
2015 without any oil leaks.

I understand you are angry with Allan on the way he handled the situation, and I would like to assure you he is no longer in this location.  I believe I have done all I could to get you to come back here and go over the leak together and make sure that we both are at an reasonable understanding.  As for your other comments, I understand everything you are saying but still stand by my initial decision.  Have you came to the store and show me whats going on, we could of had a reasonable resolution.  And as for your comments about shop tools ect.  We are fully equipped and capable of doing practically anything.  So I am sorry you feel that way, but I simply cannot force you in any way.  We work on cars all day, and we don't have issues with anyone else.  So I want to personally see your truck problem.   All those other comments about our shop are irrelevant to getting the problem resolved.    Let me know if there's anything I can do to help you.Thank you,[redacted]

I understand your frustration on getting your truck to stop leaking.  Now again we can go back and forth about what happened, or we can work on getting your issue resolved.  We are not in business for bad business, so I wanted to insure you that it is in our best interest that you are completely happy and satisfied.  Now for that I would need the truck back here to diagnose the issue and set forth what needs to be done.  Like you said before, its a pretty simple job when it came to the sensor swap.  We work on many cars a day and rarely do we have a issue as you stated.   As for your comments on the alignment issues, sir we have the newest alignment machine by Hunter Alignment Systems, and a technician that has completed the course.  So your comments are false about not having the right equipment/techs to compete the job.  We actually have an account that brings us many lifted trucks to align a week.  And again we have rarely have issues on that side.  So this leads to the fact that your truck sir is actually not a brand new truck and has a lot of miles on it, therefore you cannot expect everything to run smooth.  Bolts are harder to take off, gaskets are more sensitive.  Now we cannot be responsible for the condition on your truck, and not required to refund any money.  I could again offer you to come by and check the problem and agree on a amiable resolution.  The work has been completed more than once, and we have yet to have the truck leak here in our garage. Thank you,[redacted]

My name is [redacted] and I am the owner here at 360 Cowboys Auto and I wanted to assure you that it is in our best interest that our customers are surely 100% happy and satisfied.  I have kept up with this job since the day it came in, when we worked on the lift to the oil leaks.  And I personally have seen the truck laid outside in our parking lot with a cardboard laying under the truck to track any leaks that you may have after the work has been done.  And there was no leaks after running the truck and no complaints from you to us.  Any problems that has occurred you brought it back and we resolved the issue according to your non appearance or call to any of our salesmen or techs about a constant leak.   We are not obligated to drive each car a certain amount of miles for insurance regulations, and if we did that to each car we wouldn't have enough time in the day to fix them.   Now considering the year and miles on your truck, there is no guarantee that all the leaks in your truck will ever be fixed.  Simply because if you seal one leak which then sends the right amount of pressure throughout the motor will start to leak out from the weakest gasket/seal.  With all that being said I would like to invite you over to the store to diagnose the problem and depending on what we come up with, will be the overall fix.   There will be no full refund on the work whatsoever.  The customer never called in and tried to resolve this problem, I am willing to work with you on getting your truck fixed.  But we simply can't make the impossible possible on some certain situations.Thank you,[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute.
Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below.I paid Cowboys 360 in Arlington to fix an oil leak.  Each time they fixed it they never drove it very far or even out of their parking lot.  When I would pickup the vehicle the oil leak 'appeared' to be fixed, in some cases didn't leak the first night after driving it home.  I would drive the vehicle home to Fort Worth and after sitting for a few hours or overnight it would begin to leak.  I have attached images showing the oil leak on the ground as well as the oil dripping from several spots from under the motor.  In response to the crankshaft positioning sensor.  Cowboys 360 stated that the leak was coming from the sensor so I opted to replace the sensor myself at a cost of $85 for the sensor.  Unscrew one screw, remove the electric connector, and pull the part out.  Reverse to reinstall.  Not a difficult job and you can't do it wrong.  Replacing the sensor did NOT fix the oil leak as the oil leak is NOT coming from the sensor.  Important to also note is that the brand new crank shaft sensor was installed into the brand new timing cover that Cowboys 360 replaced.  There is absolutely no reason why you would need to 'seal' the sensor with sealant as it has it's own O-ring which was new with the new sensor and installed in the NEW timing cover gasket that Cowboys 360 replaced.  I confirmed the install process by contacting a local Chevrolet Dealership.  As I told Cowboys 360 many times, the oil leak is NOT coming from the sensor.   Fact 1 - I paid Cowboys 360 in Arlington to fix an oil leak.  Fact 2 - Cowboys in Arlington had ample opportunity to fix my oil leak as even stated by [redacted] at Cowboys 360 confirming the 5+ visits to Cowboys 360'.  They also had ample opportunity to thoroughly test drive my vehicle to make sure the oil leak was fixed but they never did.  My alarm system tracks my trucks movements and I can validate that the furthest they drove it was 3 miles round trip.Fact 3 - the engine is still leaking as confirmed in the pictures (I can post video as evidence as well)My request for resolution stands.  I would like either a refund of the costs paid to Cowboys 360 for the oil leak or for Cowboys 360 to pay the bill for another shop to perform the work correctly.
