I am declining the responseI would just like to have partial or all of my money back

This customer came to us to have her alternator replaced To get to the alternator a tire had to be removed After the alternator was replaced, as she left the shop, the tire came off just down the street We got her car back to the shop and replaced three studs on her wheel There was no damage to her car or any evidence of a collision She was told during the replacement of the alternator that her radiator was leaking but she wanted nothing but the alternator replaced Her spark plug wires were all plugged in Replacing spark plug wires would be an additional cost

I am rejecting this response because: When I first contacted the shop,, my car had smoke coming through the vents and was running hot if I sat to longBrake said a head gasket was blown! I paid then the to do the work! A few days later I had to take my car backCause it ran hot againSupposedly they didnt connect the fans properlyThe car never ran hot again, when I contacted them in NovIt was about the mist/smoke coming in the vehicle they said I needed a heating cord! I asked them if they checked my car the first time why they didn't tell me I needed a heating cord when they replaced my motor cause originally the smoke and running hot was m reason for bringing it inI went to get a second opinion and all my car needed was a hose they forgot to hook up when they put the motor on and some fluidsIt never smoked or ran hot again! My car just lost speed and cut off while I was drivingNo lights or nothing came on but the light that was already on,, the check engine oneAnd that was on when I got my truck back from himHe said my transmission was slipping and that he could fix that for I told him I couldn't afford that at the timethe car just lost speed and cut off on the highwayThe check engine sign was blinking and that's allWhen the car was able to start the motor was knockingI had a mechanic check it outHe said my motor mounts wasnt done properly, it was a hole in my oil pan behind the motor, the rods blew a hole through the motormechanics who numbers I have said the same thing, my motor couldnt have been changed or he just did a real bad job of putting the motor inAnd even if the motor was used I should not be needing a new motor this soonbefore taking my car to I had priced motors anf called different shops. A motor for my car used or new costed anywhere for to Me being charged I assumed I had a pretty good motorI was told my motor probably wasn't replaced and the gaskets could of just been sealedcouldnt even telle exactly where my motor was purchasedHe gave me the names of several places that he could of purchased itEvend when I called themTheir warranties we're from 90days til a yearI still think is to much! Another mechanic is charging that much to do the same thing did in the first placeSo why was I charged and he used a used motor that probably didn't cost no more than

If she came in to the shop we would be happy to check the bolts that the other shop said was looseThe motor mount has nothing to do with the transmission we put inWe never did any work on the motor mount so I can not reimburse money
for work I never did

Customer came to the shop for us to diagnose her car and left it while we did the workWe later called her to let her know how much it would be to be fixedShe told us she did not have the money to fix it right now and said to leave
it and she will pick it up laterWe told her that we are not responsible for vehicles left on the lot and we clearly state this in the waiting room and office areaShe said that is fine and will pick it up a little after we closeShe left the car there all nightThe converter was taken off during the night
When this vehicle came to us for the gas line repair we told the that the brake lines were rusted and needed to be replaced. They refused to have brake lines replacedWe took photos of all the rusted gas and brake lines under the vehicle
Mr*** came to us with his car after buying it. He asked us to check it out and diagnose the issues. He did not ask for an emissions inspection . After tellling him what we found he asked if the car would pass an emission inspection and was told it would not. We
charge $an hour for labor. The diagnosis took minutes . He paid $after getting the service he asked for
We repaired the damage done by the loose lug nut The car was never on a tow truck We walked down the street, tightened the wheel, asked Ms *** to bring the car back MondayShe dropped it off on Sunday while we were closed Monday we replaced all studs on the wheel The car was not vandalized She was told about the leaking radiator when the alternator was replaced but didn't want it fixed. *** *** from *** *** called us late February saying they investigated the car and found it to be fine His number is ***
The cost for Mrs***'s repair included $for the towThe $was for a good running used motor plus labor. A new motor would cost thousands of dollars. The heater core problem more than likely contributed to the original engine over heating and going bad. Our position is firm. We will replace the engine with a good used one for $but only if the heater core is replaced as well
I am rejecting this response because:
They said that they had insurance companies all over, that they were backed up by insuranceThey said they would get my car fixedThey said not to tell my insurance company, which I did, and they said they were not going to fix itThey did not fix the
radiator like they saidI do not know why they vandalized itIt was vandalized on their propertyNothing has been done with the car since the 17th of FebruaryThey did not bother to check that car when they towed it backThey admitted to me it was their fault, but decided they did not want to do anything about itI would like to get the repairs done at a different one of this business's locations

Hello, First, there is a misunderstanding. We replaced Mrs. [redacted]'s engine with a used one. We thought this was understood due to the cost. In November Mrs. [redacted] came to us and was told that she needed a heater core. She didn't want to do it and continued to drive the truck...
causing the engine to overheat. We shop different vendors for parts looking for the best quality and price. We didn't know where we would find the used motor for Mrs. [redacted] when she asked. We stand by our offer to replace her engine for $800 but only if she replaces the heater core.

When the 2005 Chevy Impala first came to the shop it was overheating. We did a flow text on the radiator and found it was severely clogged. He also indicated that the heat was not getting as hot as it should so we checked the heater...
core and found it was also clogged. We called him and told him it would be $550 to replace the radiator and heater core. We told him at this time that there may be a chance that since the car was driven hot a few times it may have a head gasket issue. He agreed and gave us the ok to do the work. We proceeded and replaced both the radiator and heater core. After the work was done we still had an over heating issue but did not overheat at idle anymore just while driving. We did a pressure check on each cylinder and found that cylinder 3 and 5 were bleeding into each other. We called the customer back and told him that the engine had a blown head gasket. We told him it would be $1000 to replace the motor. He agreed to replacing the motor and told us that he would not be able to pay for the work for a month. I said that would be ok as long as he gave me a date that he would pick it up but if he went past that day there would be a storage fee of $40/day there after. We put the motor in and drove it around to make sure that everything was good and it was. For the first week we put it in the shop at night and took it out during the day. We made room for it on the other side of the shop and that is where it stay till the day the customer picked it up. When I got the call he was going to pick it up I had one of my mechanics to get it out and take a drive to charge the battery up since it was dead for sitting so long and to check to see if everything was good that we had worked on. While he was test driving, the customer had came by to pick it up and had to wait a little for the mechanic to return. When the vehicle returned and customer had paid he had noticed that it was a little dirty from us moving it in and out of the shop and inclement weather conditions. We cleaned it up the best we could with the tools we had. A few days later he came back and said it was not clean enough so we detailed the car while he watched and pointed out what he wanted cleaned. We gave him a $200 discount off the original price of the work. If he has an issue with the authenticity of our work the best thing for him to do would be to go to GM, state trooper or anywhere they can check the VIN# on the motor to prove it is a different motor. He can then bring the statement to us to show that it came from a different vehicle.

He would be more than welcome to come to our business and bring a receipt. wW will reimburse him 50% of the cost of the battery.
Final Business Response /* (1000, 21, 2015/07/29) */
7/22/2015: There is a 60 day warranty. I...
will not pay someone else to do it since it is not under warranty but if he wants to swing by we will take a look. If it is a quick fix I probably would not charge but if it needs replacements I would charge.
