Dear customer,
WE apologize for any inconvenience you had with our Jones Rd location. Just to set the record straight I wanted to explain to you that out initial external diagnostic which takes about 60-90 min is free of charge. This diagnosis is to find out if the vehicle has...
internal transmission problem or it is acting up because of external issue. External transmission issues can be solved without going inside the transmission and these fixes are inexpensive. Once it is determined that transmission has internal problem, transmission repair price cannot be given without removing and dismantling the transmission and find out which parts needs to be replaced to bring the transmission back to factory specification.
Internal inspection takes 4-6 hours of labor time. We ask for customer permission and authorization for $485.00 before we proceed to remove the transmission. This authorization was given by you over the phone with your drivers license # as proof of authorization. Once we know how many parts and what we needs to do to fix the transmission, we price the transmission accordingly. You failed to authorize the repair and we have only charged you for the labor to remove and inspect the transmission. Which $495. Towing is free if we do the Major repairs. Removing and inspection is not a major repair.
I hope I have this has clear the air. I you decide to fix the transmission proper way and have good warranty let us know we will give you the credit for the amount you have paid for inspection service.
Thank you.

To Whom it may concern,
This vehicle came in on 1-6-15 and left on 1-15-15. It took several days because the power steering did not work after we finished rebuilding the transmission. We bought a new power steering pump and rack-n-pinion at no cost to the customer. This had fixed the power steering which was not part of the transmission repair. The vehicle left working fine and then he returned on 1-28-15 and said it was not shifting right. We replaced his valvebody under warranty and had him back on the road on 2-3-15 with the transmission shifting perfect. The vehicle had to relearn the new valvebody which may take a few days or 100 miles.
Mr. [redacted] calls us a few days later with the vehicle at the dealer. We advised him that he had a warranty with us and he has to bring the vehicle back to us for us to look at the problem again. We never had a chance to drive or check his vehicle to see if the transmission was not shifting right. We are not disputing that computer may have gone bad also due to the internal transmission problem. We have documentations from our mechanic and diagnostician that this vehicle had internal transmission problem. We have removed dismental and rebuild this transmission with complete warranty. Our warranty clearly states that warranty issues are honor at this shop only. We stand behind all of our work and we will honor Mt Jermon warranty if he bring this vehicle back to us as we had advise him to do. We apologize to the customer if this has caused any inconvenience to him. We are looking forward to hearing from Mr Jermon and take care of any warranty claim he may have in the future.
Thanks.
