Review: In February of 2014, I hired a contractor to replace my kitchen cabinets and counter tops, and to Re-glaze my bathtub, I received a proposal via e-mail, and I agreed with the price that was quoted because it fell within the money that I had in my budget for the work to be done. The original price quoted to me for the work to be done on my kitchen and bathroom was $3,387.81. A contract was then drawn up by [redacted], and was signed by the both of us. The work was to have started on April *, 2014. I gave [redacted] a cashier's check for $2,000. on March **, 2014, after I had paid the deposit I decided to replace my bathroom basin and vanity and medicine cabinet, so I gave [redacted] (who is also a partner in the company) a cash payment of $782.00 and I was given a receipt on April **, 2014. The work was to have started on April *, 2014 on April **, 2014 the only work that had been done was the Re-glazing of my bath tub. My old cabinets were not removed until May *, 2014, my new cabinets sat on my kitchen and living room floors until May **, 2014 when they were installed. My sink and counter tops were not installed until June **, 2014., the bathroom vanity and medicine cabinet were just installed on June **, 2014. Now after all this delay in having the job completed, [redacted] wants to ask for a final payment, the only problem with that request is the job has not been completed, (1) One of the doors on my cabinets is falling off, (2) the shelves in another one of the cabinets have not been put in place, (3) the shelves in the medicine cabinet have not been put in place. I've been terribly inconvenienced by the delay of this job, and I think I should be compensated by the company in some manner.Desired Settlement: When the job is completed to my satisfaction, we can consider the matter settled.
