Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: My home is almost 100 years old. It was built in 1919 originally and has had some additions done throughout the years, as Dan uncovered when he began working on the home. The bathroom that Dan is referring to in his response, where he took out his level and explained away why he had to make uneven cuts with the tile is our hall bathroom that was pre-existing. The bathroom I am referring to is our master bathroom, that Dan and his team built in our bedroom. That means out of 4 walls, only one wall was pre-existing so the other three should have been even since he built them from scratch. Additionally, I am not seeking the $400 credit for the "uneven cuts" of the tiles, I am seeking credit for the splattered red waterproof membrane in my brand new fiberglass shower bottom and on my tiles, the sloppy grout job he performed and the grout haze that will not come off of the shower tiles. I have attached pictures for you to view. Also, why if Dan did not believe that he had done his job poorly would he have offered us a $200 credit after, I emailed him regarding the issue with tiles and asked him for a $400. If he truly saw no fault on his behalf he would not have offered us anything. We have tried repeatedly to clean the tiles with Lysol, Acid haze remover, bleach, soft scrub, brillo pad, etc and nothing will remove the issues I am referring to. If you paid a professional to do a job and it was botched, the way ours was, you would be upset as well. At the time when we paid Dan for the work, the home was still under construction and we were not moved in and we had no clue that the tiles would remain filthy and unable to be cleaned. I now have a master bath that already looks like it needs to be redone. As far as the stolen flooring that was later returned. Dan did indeed pay for the flooring up front as he did with all the materials for our 203K home renovation, but that was part of the contract he signed and was reimbursed for all materials through the draw process. He had to submit documentation (invoices and receipts) for those materials to my escrow officer [redacted] with Finance of [redacted]) to receive payment. Why would he have not informed me when I asked him to return the 4 boxes of flooring that he was never reimbursed for them and provide documentation as proof?   The smoke detectors he clearly told me in my front yard that he took them to use at his rental property and I had to ask for them back.  The uneven flooring and reinstall he is referring to is not part of this matter and he was paid for it as he states.

Hi, I remodeled [redacted] home. the home is over a hundred years old. no one has lived there in a long time. the walls are very uneven. I explained to her before we installed the bath tile that I do not recommend tile because the foundation is not solid. And the walls are uneven. But she still wanted...

tile. I explained to her why I had to cut the tile on a angle, to accommodate the uneven walls. And she was fine with that. I even but a level on the walls to show her how uneven the walls were. as far as the electric, it still had the knob and tube wiring in some walls. As we were opening walls we discovered cut wires that we had no control over and could not see while bidding the job.I never stole anything from the home. I bought vinyl flooring for the home that was shipped long distance. So I ordered 5 extra boxes so I would not run short and they would be from the same lot. So [redacted] thinks she paid for them, she is wrong I paid for the flooring. But she wanted the extra flooring so I gave it to her. they were worth a few hundred dollars. And the smoke detectors I took off the walls to keep in a safe and dust free environment. So she interrupted, as I stole the items. The grout residue, I shared with her how to remove the residue, product and elbow grease. She has constantly lied and tried to make me look bad. I have bent over backwards to help her and did a lot of extras. She is never happy, and wants me to do extra work for free.as far as the flooring. she was not happy with the flooring after I spent a week installing it. But I ripped it all up but a special product down and reinstalled the flooring for $200. which I spent on special floor cement. you can call me anytime, Dan [redacted]

Hi, so I missed the date by 2 yrs.How did I know what bath you are talking about... I cannot read your mind. And that is not true again about me building 3 walls I only built 1 wall in the bath. A shower has only 3 walls. And 2 of the walls are from the old section. I wish you would get your story right and stop lying and stop trying to make me look bad. [redacted] signed off on the tile work over a month ago, and she has been living at the for a few weeks. And she has now noticed the tile and grout after a month? Even the bank is saying that she has no grounds to stand on because she signed off on the tile..I offered to give [redacted] $200 credit because I am a wonderful person. And I am just trying to get away from her.  It is very stressful. Why I never asked for credit for the flooring credit, because it seemed like you really wanted it So again what a nice guy I am, I gave it to you, to try and make piece. But that is never good enough for you. To take my goodness and try and turn into lies, But it is not working. Yes I took the smoke detectors but I did not steal them. If I stole something I would not admit it to you. I was being honest. You never told me you wanted them.. Hey [redacted] did I ever do anything good during this project? Like letting you use my credit card. so you could purchase your appliances. And you received my discount, without asking me.. That was a mistake. See how you twist everything around and lie... So please what lies can you say about my credit card usage? Thank you. You are a wonderful person. Dan
