3D Remodeling Inc Reviews (1)

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2015/11/02) */
We understand kitchen remodeling is a frustrating experience even when executed perfectly. We provided excellent customer service in a quick manner and the end result is a great looking kitchen.
Our records show we completed our portion of a...

major kitchen remodel in 7 weeks- Minus the time the home owner did some of their own work & hired local unlicensed handymen. Owner did demo, wall and ceiling texture, paint, tile backslash and flooring. Others did counter tops.
Customer isn't telling the truth about about our crews only showing up one day per week, we have payroll records to prove otherwise. Our records can prove when customer finished painting we were in there the very next day setting the cabinets and as soon as the customer finished their tile backsplash we finished all the appliances and sink hookups the very next day also.
Customer isn't telling the truth about having to eat outside-Customer had a fully functioning kitchen since Oct. 9th- we were notified approx. 2 weeks later that the refer line was leaking and within hours dispatched crews and made repairs to the water line, installed fans and dehumidifier. It is true that customer had a setup in their backyard for a temp. kitchen during the remodel but again since the 9th (see pics) they have had use of a fully functional completed kitchen.
It simply isn't true that we didn't communicate considering that four different people immediately personally inspected and explained to customer we would take care of situation to their complete satisfaction and no expense to them but we had to wait a short period for the sub-floor the dry out and order new flooring. We had crews show up every day to inspect the drying process plus a dozen emails and phone calls from our office staff during this time of the water leak.
The minor leak at refer didn't inhibit the use of the kitchen at all. Along with the Home Depot we provided a financial settlement to pay customer $1500 (three times competitors estimate to replace a few warped floor boards- a snap in type laminate floating floor). That work is being completed today 11/02/2015
It is also not true that the job was delayed 5 weeks. The customer ordered cabinets from Home Depot and they were delivered 7/15-we were scheduled to start 8/18 = 5 weeks- but one of those weeks the customer was doing their own demo so we are down to 4 weeks, normally people have to wait a couple weeks after delivery of the cabinets and there is an inspection that occurs during that time to make sure everything provided by customer is there and in good shape since we were only providing labor - so really they only waited a couple of extra weeks before we could start-but remember they had a fully functional existing kitchen for this time. Also to be considered is this was a construction boom year and most all contractors were booking jobs out 4-6 months in advance, not a few weeks. By the way the Home Depot gave the customer back 10% or several thousand dollars for that inconvenience.
The customer isn't being forthright regarding the city inspection either- The city inspector provided a correction notice of 5 items- only one minor issue was our responsibility to apply caulk to a low voltage under cabinet light wire- the other items were not passed [redacted] to issues that were the customers responsibility, CO detectors, an unfinished water filter owner was adding, and a vent screen next to refer. We are still waiting for the customer to complete these items so we can schedule the final inspection.
I attached a few pics- you can see this is a great looking kitchen and you see in front on the refer a couple of slightly warped floor boards which is why customer claims kitchen is unusable?
I really don't understand how after providing excellent quality workmanship in a reasonable time and then an immediate response to the refer water line accident that we are shown no appreciation for everyone's hard work and are subject to such vindictive behavior.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 10, 2015/11/15) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Although I am disappointed with the response from 3D, I am satisfied that I have finally resolved this issue. This complaint was filed because although 3D acknowledged the issue, at the time of the complaint they had not yet commited on how or when they would finally repair my floor.
The response from 3D is a true reflection of the care that this company has for its customers. $20,000+ were paid to 3D in labor, this service was not free. I am expected to be grateful and not complain.I do not have the time to address each of the points from 3D, but find incredible that on top of it all I am called a liar and vindictive.
My floor was finally repaired correctly,by another party, not patched as it was suggested. The installation was completed on 11/12 because the process was delayed due to the lack of commitment. And yes we received a compensation from the Home Depot, which in the end is the company we contracted not 3D. We are happy that this process is over and that we can finally enjoy a completed kitchen that we can move into, 12 weeks after the start of the project.
