As the contracted vendor to the State of Pennsylvania and specifically the Department of Banking it is our obligation to provide the applicant with the means to enter demographic data, capture fingerprint images and electronically submit the transaction to Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) for processing The results of the processed transaction are provided to the Department of Banking through PSP In searching our database for status information we find that the applicant in question did complete the process and was successfully fingerprinted on July 3rd, The results of this background check and status should directed to the Department of Banking who would have the results of the process The Department fof Banking can be contacted at ###-###-####
The complaint filed in regards to the applicant themselves registering and completing the background check process and later finding out that they completed the wrong process is not a liability of 3M Cogent. The applicant and or the requesting agency is responsible to direct applicant to... perform the appropriate background check process. 3M Cogent, as the contracted vendor to the state provides the platform for which to complete the directed process. There would be no refund for a completed transaction that has already been invoiced and paid for by the vendor when the negligence was on the part of the applicant or the requesting agency.
