Case #: 11947223 Dated in 01/20/2017 3M Motors responds[redacted] and her friend [redacted] walked in looking to buy a car. They saw the 2004 Ford F-150. She took the truck for a test drive. Our manager mentioned that the truck was not 100 percent ready and we needed 2 days to get it ready. There was...

an exhaust leak that needed to be fixed and [redacted] was clearly advised of the issue. When they came back they mentioned the same problem the manager had already talked to them about. [redacted] asked our manager if she could take the truck and bring it back on a later date to have it fixed. The manager and [redacted] made and agreement. Our finance manager got her approved with Lobel Financial and she left with the truck. She brought it later to fix it and she began to argue about the trucks issues and demanded that the truck be fixed. We were confused about why she was upset since we agreed that we would fix the exhaust leak at a later date. Our manager gave her a loaner car to drive until we finished fixing it. [redacted] then began ignoring our phone calls and blocked our office phone number; we were unable to contact her. We were able to get a hold of her friend [redacted], the one who came with her to figure out what was going on. While we are talking to her she mentioned that [redacted] used the truck to move her stuff. We found out that she purposely came here to get a truck to use to move her belongings and came up with all the complaints to cancel the sale. We asked her friend [redacted] if she can write us a letter telling what happened exactly since she was involved in the story. The letter below [redacted] responds about what happened exactly.  [redacted]Carmichael, CA 95608 My name is [redacted]. I have been friends with [redacted] for almost 15 years and was with her when she bought the Ford F150 from 3M Motors. For three days prior to going to 3M Motors I had driven [redacted] to numerous different dealerships only for her to be turned down. She had only $600 for a down payment and a low credit score. When we pulled into 3M Motors, the manager came out to greet us. Right away I explained to him what the situation was with [redacted]’s credit and down payment. He said “No problem! We’ll get you approved.” The manager did advise us that the vehicle was not ready to drive home and that they would need a couple days to fix the issues. [redacted] requested to take to take the vehicle for a test drive and I went along with her. I was in the passenger seat, and I could tell [redacted] was having a hard time operating the clutch. We both noticed that there was an exhaust leak and something wrong with the brakes. When we returned to the car lot we told the manager that if [redacted] purchased the truck we wanted him to fix these things. We also mentioned that there was a check engine light on and that I had used my code reader to find out what it was on for. He told us he would fix the things we told him about. We then went inside and discussed further the details of buying the vehicle. There were some things that [redacted] needed to bring before she could get the truck so we left and returned the next morning. When we arrived the details of the purchase were again discussed with [redacted] as she signed the contract and other paperwork. The finance manager included a work to be done contract stating he would fix the items we mentioned after the test drive. On top of this he gave her a 3 months warranty on the vehicle at no extra cost to her. [redacted] drove the truck to Galt and used it to move from where she was living to her new residence in Sacramento. She made two trips to do this. She then brought the truck back to 3M Motors so the mechanic over there could have the repairs done. While the repairs were being done the manager loaned [redacted] a car to drive so she could get to work and back. The manager contacted me because he had tried numerous times to reach [redacted]. He told me that while fixing the truck other things was found that needed to be repaired and that it would be a few more days before it was ready. A week later the manager contacted me once more stating that the truck was done and he still couldn’t reach [redacted]. I was able to reach her and she went to 3M Motors and took the truck home. That night I received a call from [redacted] around 10pm. She told me the truck was not starting and she was stuck at work. The next day [redacted] told me that the manager towed the truck to the lot. I called the manager and he told me the truck was out of gas. I called [redacted] and told her this but she refused to accept this to be true. A few weeks went by and the manager called me and told me [redacted] would not answer her phone or return his phone calls. He also said she had yet to pick the truck back up. I then called [redacted] and explained to her for a 3rd time the details of her purchase and that if she didn’t pick up the truck and make her payment she was going to get a repossession on her credit. She said that was the decision she was making and wasn’t going to do what I felt was the right thing. The manager went above and beyond what any other dealership would have done. If anyone did anything wrong it was not the manager it was [redacted].

We sold Mrs. [redacted] a [redacted] 2004 vin [redacted] AS-IS NO WARRANTY on 05/16/2015. After a week she came back due to a noise in the exhust. We took care of the noise and retaurned the car to her with NO charge. She came back a few couples days complaining that...

the car was over heatting. We gave her a loaner car and took the vehicle to a profissional mechanic to have it checked out and ended up changing the TIMING BELT,  THE WATER PUMP and THE HEAD GASKET and again charged the customer NOTHING. After a couple days the customer's husband called screaming and using foul language claiming that we didn't change any parts because he had Chrysler dealership check it out for him. I attached the invoices for the parts I changed. We were working with her to keep her happy but the way her husband approached us made us not want to do further business with them. Comments: Can you provide us a copy of the Chrysler dealership inspection.    Thank you so much for your time.   [redacted] 3M Motors Owner

Review: I took my car in to get fixed and now they don't want to give it back. They are asking for more money. I got a loaner while they have my car but it has no air conditioner in this 100°-106° weather.Desired Settlement: Fix my car and give it back to me

Review: I purchased a vehicle from M Motors on 2/10/2016 in the amount of $7999 + tax, title & license.

I put a down payment of $2,100

My first payment was due on 3/11/2016 for which I failed to make on time. The vehicle was then repossessed by M3 Motors on 3/19/2016. I had to pay a total of $750 ($305 for the March payment and $445 for the repossession fees.)

I paid the amount and reclaimed the vehicle the same day.

My April Payment was paid on 4/12/2016 in the amount of $305

My may payment is not due until 5/11/2016.

On 4/25/2016 my vehicle would not start. I was within 90 days of the purchase and I towed my vehicle to M3 Motors because [redacted] (Amin) [redacted] said to bring it there and they would take care of it.

I called for the status of my vehicle on Tuesday 4/26/2016 and was told something was wrong with it and it was not running correctly but would be fixed tomorrow.

On Wednesday 4/27/2016 I called to check on the status and was told it was still not fixed and if there was something wrong, I would be responsible for purchasing the part and they would take care of the labor.

My cousin looked up the status of the license and found that it was expired as of 2013. when she inquired to the status of the vehicle, she was told:

1. I'm two months behind on payments. ($610)

2. I owe a deferred payment of $900 that was due on 2/17/2016

3. I was going to be called tomorrow (4/28/2016) to be informed the vehicle was being repossessed until I pay him $1510.

4. I have two weeks to pay.

5. The vehicle runs fine, there is noting wrong with it.

I am not behind on payments as stated above. My next payment is due 5/11/2016.

I have no idea about a $900 payment on 2/17/2016.I did not sign a contract with M3 Motors to pay an extra $900.

This accusations are untrue and hold no merit. The company is falsely denying me my vehicle; this is fraud.

When questioned about the validity of the his license with the state, [redacted] became hostile and upset and refused to provide a valid license number.

He then called me yelling and cussing and that the vehicle will be repossessed if I do not come up with $1510. There was never an intention by M3 Motors to return the vehicle to me.Desired Settlement: I want my vehicle returned to me in working order

Review: From date of purchase was given a promisary note from dealership t have A/C , windows, & mirrors fixed. Was told to bring car back to have problems fixed as well as have a GPS system installed. Took vehicle back to dealership on 4 seperate occassions dealership fixed mirrors/windows was told they would send someone to Redding to fix ac & install GPS. Went back the last time for GPS installation dealership started to install GPS & then stopped we were told don't touch GPS parts came back next day due to business closing. Car developed electrical problems and caused the battery to die. Called dealersip for help said they would come back & have someone walk us through GPS installationDesired Settlement: Either let me out of the contract and reimburse the down payment as well as financial costs for travelling OR fix the car as promised & reimburse for travelling expenses lost & give vehicle back

Review: I recently bought a 2007 nissan altima from M3 motors. The car had a few problems that were on the due bill, loose door panels, a/c did not work, clutch was bad, check engine light was on, wheel bearings, head rests gone, and a keyed paint job. I brought the car back to have the items on the due bill fixed. They gave me a loaner car that had issues of its own. Two days later we picked the car up and noticed that none of the items had been done and had to make another appointment to bring it back. During this time the clutch went out and I had to get the car towed to M3 at my own expense. About two weeks later they said my car was ready so I went to get it and nothing was done yet again so had to take the car back in for a third time. I was also suspicious of the mileage that had been put on the car. When I took it in the third time I logged the miles down. After almost another month of them having my vehicle they said it was done. My wife returned to get it this. When I got home to inspect the car and drive it, I noticed that the front end was making a really bad noise and there idea of fixing my door panel was drilling silver framing screws into my door. The car also had over 1300 more miles on it then when I dropped it off. We found cigarrete burns in the front and back seats, the car had lost power, more scratches in the paint, the weather stripping gone on the door, grocery outlet receipts and mcdonalds garbage all over the car. Someone was driving it like it was there vehiclice at my expense. I just brought this to [redacted] attention today after being avoided for a week and he told me to get off his lot and sorry about your luck. Guess that customer appreciation for you!!! I bought the car 3 months ago and have had it alittle over two weeks, I asked him for a smog certificate and got a paper that looked like it was done on microsoft word.Desired Settlement: I want out of the car, my 1500 down payment back and lost wages for the time I had to miss work because they had my vehicle

Review: I purchased a used BMW last year around the time the two owners of the company were convicted of fraud( unbeknown to me). First the condition of the car was fair at most and not in good condition of the selling price, however since I was coercion was used in the office my daughter and I signed paperwork to purchase two vehicles. I pay the car note for a year with no missed payment and one day the car loses power in freeway. I have the car towed to m3 motors and this was three months ago they have never returned my calls to at least advise based on their diagnostic what the issue with the vehicle is of give estimate for repairs. As a woman I am not comfortable going to the dealer anymore as I was constantly sexually harassed and was told by [redacted] the supposed mechanic he would get to the car we he gets around to it and used a few choice words as to what another repair would advise if I were to ask for assistance with my car. I should add the finance company has a device on the car that will disable the vehicle if payment is not made by 28th monthly on my visits above after they had my car for a month [redacted] was adamant the vehicle was disabled for nonpayment and only until I called the finance company tk verify it was not an accounting issue did he stop blaming the issue in me and nonpayment- he also implied I would have to pay for the parts and labor which I advised I was always prepared to do as I never presumed they worked for free. I also plan to file complaint with the BAU.Desired Settlement: I would like for them to properly diagnose the issue and advise of their findings, providing an work estimate/order in writing and call back with estimate, after all they've had the car for close to 3 months. The car is a lemon I presume and they know that as well I assume that is why they never bother to apprise me of what was wrong and how to fix the issue(s).

Check engine light still on I still dont have tags or license plates I droped 1500 down I will like all that back my family deserve a good car for the hoildays my engine is ticking and lifting please help us .Desired Settlement: A realible company should do the right thing stop selling junk I need a good car or my 1500 back and loss of wages

Review: Me an my husband purchased a vehicle from M3motors in Citrus Heights California.[redacted] from M3motors said he can Personally Guarantee a good family car for me an my kids.So we accepted it and we only had the vehicle for 5 days before it went back for a patch on the muffler. When we picked it up from that repair it stopped on the freeway with me and my kids in it. It went back for a repair and M3motors had it for 15days. Through out those days, we had been calling to check and see the status of our vehicle, but a staright answer was never given. The first thing that was communicated to us was that the fuel pump went out. Then after we called again, it was communicated that It was an issue with the engine such as timing belt. Through out all that time, a loaner vehicle was never offered as an option, until we arrived and was asking for the Owner " [redacted]". Four days there after we received a loaner car, then did my husband call and they said it was ready. It was relaid to us by [redacted] 9 person who fixed car) that he replaced the timing belt, water pump, fuel pump, head gasket and an oil change on the car. " But there will be a little shaking when you drive it, I know, then you can bring it back and I will fix it. The engine light was still on at that time as well. The following Saturday, we had [redacted] on Fulton Ave check out the car. [redacted] realid to us that, the timing belt needed to be replaced and the water pump as well.Desired Settlement: All I am asking is for one of two things to happen: 1. Fix the timing belt andwater pump as he was suppose to the first time. or 2. Refund back our $1200 deposit for the car and straighten out the bank.

My boyfriend and I bought a car from M3 motors in May. It's now the end of September and we still don't have our registration, tags, or license plates. We're having many issues with the vehicle, repairs were never made as promised by the dealer. Such as transmission starting slip, short in the tail light, we can't even open the hood of our vehicle because the cable was never repaired, and many more issues. Contacted dealer to have our issues repaired, and parts never came in, and when they did, they were always the wrong part. Finally refused to repair vehicle. We called in August to figure out where our registrations, tags, and plates are. They asked us to come in, we did and they ended up driving off in our car, then came back and said to call our lender because they were going to take care of it. We contacted the lender and they told us M3 Motors went out of business. The lender just now today notified us they opened under 3M Motors, same address, same phone number, and same people. Issues were never resolved and still we don't have registration, tags, or plates. We would like to be out of the vehicle, and have our down payment of $1500 back and lost wages from the vehicle.

Review: They sold me a lemon car. It broke down and needed the engine replaced within a month of my purchase.

I purchased a BMW 330ci from them in July. I'm still making payments on this car that will not run and need thousands of dollars of repairs to get it running.

The car ran out of gas on the freeway less as I was driving away from the dealer. less than 20 miles from the dealership.Desired Settlement: A refund of my purchase.

Review: I purchased a car from 3M Motors. They lied about car being slogged when I bought it from them and car needed multiple repairs which I received no financial help from them with. Dealer then admitted to lying to me and said they would refund my down payment and take car back. And now when I try and make good on their promise they ignore my calls and tell me I'm stuck in the contract. I'm taking full legal action against them.Desired Settlement: I want them to take the car back, and relieve me of the contract and financing. Since they basically used fraud to take my money and run. 2 months later I'm paying 16,000 for an un-smogged, un-registered car. I really need help with this matter I guarantee they are doing this to other people.
