Briefly, in March 2017, a young man (Mark) from 4G plumbing came to my home to repair a disconnected pipe under the downstairs bathroom sink This is the exact same sink and new faucets (that I purchased) that another 4G employee (Tom) installed in SeptThe cold water handle as well as the faucet and hot water handle are all one unit The entire unit had been dislocated as the cold water handle was pushed back about one inch from its regular aligned position I do not know whether this occurred from the fact that the washer underneathe was extremely loose from not being tightened during the initial install OR whether it was from constant use I later spoke to two other plumbing companies and the store where I bought the supplies They all said that it was unusual for this situation to occur unless the washer was not tightened enough and it eventually led to the disconection of the pipes
All that needed done was for the faucet unit to be straightened to allow the pipes
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business I will allow him (the owner of 4G Plumbing) time to review all the materials I last sent so he can give a more informed response.
Sincerely,

From: [redacted] Sent: Tuesday, August 15, 2017 5:28 PM Subject: Re: You have a new message from the Revdex.comThis is now my third email for complaint response #[redacted], regarding faulty work by 4G Plumbing. Attached now are actual photos of the sink and faucet as they are. I have added explanatory notes with each page since the owner did not seem to be able to conceptualize the descriptions I formerly wrote. I hope this makes my stand perfectly clear. These are labeled as pages 5-11. It also includes the printout of the faucet with the specifications, a diagram page, and photos of the original pipe and what it looks like now.I strongly emphasize that if close attention had been paid to the problem (when Mark arrived), he would have only had to realign the faucet assembly, tighten the underneathe washers, and reattach the two pipes at the ring. No additional pipe was necessary! This is why I only agree to pay $65 for his work, but not for the unnecessary additional work nor parts.Furthermore, according to the Consumer Guaranatees Act (CGA), "service guarantees are that the services will be provided with 4 provisions. Here, "reasonable care and skill" was not used as the work was only completed by adding unnecessary additional parts and labor, and the work should have been "charged a reasonable price when the price is not set." By this law, I am only required to pay a reasonable price. There is also case law that applies to a business charging disabled or elderly citizens above what is reasonable. This email will again NOT allow me to send anymore than the photos so I will have to conclude with yet another email, #4,From: [redacted] Sent: Tuesday, August 15, 2017 5:47 PM Subject: Re: You have a new message from the Revdex.comThis is part 4 and my concluding email for 4g Plumbing, complaint #[redacted].Please compare now the price of the original installation invoice and the second invoice #[redacted] for work done by Mark on 3/22/17.{This is labeled as attachment #11.] Also note that I never even received this billing until MAY! The receptionist told me it was due to them being short-handed in April. She told me this when I called to get the address information to send my first letter in June.Since the second problem (the faulty repair of the upstairs toilet) is all that was attended to on 3/23/17, and Mark was told on Day 1 (3/22) that it was not done correctly or satisfactorily, and STILL was not done right upon Day 2, I am also not required by the CGA to pay for those services.Next, I am attaching a copy of the mailing receipts for the letter I sent 4G the second time. The first copy was sent June 23rd, and I received no response except an adjusted bill with a senior discount on it. So I sent it a second time on July 11th, and this time sent it certified. This is to show that I have made every attempt possible to work with this company. In addition, I would like it noted that other work they did for me in 2016 totaled well over $400 and I was very satisfied with that work and paid it in full.Lastly, I am sending a copy of the actual Lowes receipt for the toilet assembly .Please note that even the flapper assembly Mark installed did not work and the water was running constantly. I still have it here if anyone wants to see it. The actual price for parts my son paid when he fixed it (was in June) was $13.98, as opposed to the $12.95 that I listed in the original letter and complaint. This kit, of course, included a new flapper along with the entire unit. It has worked fine since. With this all this verification, I would like to remind the owner that he only offered to deduct the cost of the last parts (though it should be $13.98 instead of $12.95). I also need to offer to pay for the Lincoln trip lever that was installed on the toilet: in order to change out the original gold one for this silver one. This was done at my request so that the silver would match the rest of the bathroom fixtures. This is listed as $16.32 on your bill. The $16.32 minus the $13.98 unit cost leaves a difference of: $2.34. Added to the labor cost offer of $65, I will pay a total of $67.34, yet minus their 20% senior citizen discount, leaves $53.87. To be humble, I will even round it off to $60.00. I would also like it noted that the amount of time I have had to spend in arguing this faulty work has taken more than the original time it would have taken if done properly in the first place. This has been extremely stressful to me. I hope that I have clarified any questions and concerns and that we can agree soon and end this matter.
From: [redacted] Sent: Tuesday, August 15, 2017 4:28 PMSubject: Re: You have a new message from the Revdex.comThis is one of a 2-pt response to my complaint, #[redacted].I have been experiencing some very serious flashbacks this last week associated with my chronic PTSD and panic/anxiety disorder. Therefore, please excuse the fact that I have not submitted this until the last minute.Due to the many attachments, I am forced to submit two emails. I am not an experienced internet user and know no other way to submit this information to you. I did not know how to do this during my initial complaint, but received guidance from one of the Revdex.com staff on attachments.First, I am attaching a copy of the original billing invoice (that I paid promptly) dated Oct. 12, 2016. As you can see, plumber "Tom" stated that he installed 3 new faucets (my purchases) and that there were no leaks when he left. This is true. He did not list that he also installed the sink, but that was done simultaneously. Therefore, I am attaching verification of those items: the receipts, photos of the sink box, and one faucet IN the box. This consists of four pages. Please note that I am then attaching 10 pages of directions that are directly associated with the exact faucet assembly I purchased. It specifically states that some faucet caulking should have been applied at the original installation. None was applied by either Tom nor Mark (when Mark worked on it on 3/22/17). If this had been done, AND if the washers underneathe the faucet assembly had been tightened, the assembly would not have shifted and THUS, no tension on the pipe connection would have existed to loosen it when water flowed through! This email is not allowing me to attach any more and I do not know how to download it to a cloud; therefore, I will now proceed to a second email. From: [redacted] Sent: Tuesday, August 15, 2017 4:43 PM Subject: Re: You have a new message from the Revdex.comPt 2 response to 4G Plumbing of complaint #[redacted].This is my supplementary (second) email due to the size of my attachments. Please see the faucet installation instructions' attachment as discussed in the first email. I have had to reduce the size of the original attachment in order to make it go through. I hope it is legible or you are able to enlarge it at your end.Since this is taking more emails than I had anticipated, I will have to send a third email to attach the actual photos of the exact sink, faucet, and pipes in question. This only pertains to the downstairs sink, which is only one part of my complaint. I would like to add that I have also consulted my consumer protection attorney and he is unfortunately unavailable this week, so he will be back in his office by Monday, Aug. 21st. I will probably have to send yet an additional email with the consumer protection law that applies to charging customers for faulty work. Please bear with me.
We will be responding to this. The Owner has been busy with bidding jobs this week, so we have not had time to look everything over. We will be responding next week.
Hello [redacted],My name is John B[redacted], I am the sole owner of 4G Plumbing & Heating,I was given a copy of the letter you sent on June 23, 2017 addressed to NellieB[redacted] our Service Manager.I did review the invoice you have in question and the repair to the lavatoryin the Basement which has me quit...
perplexed as you reference the faucet onthe Lavatory and that it was leaking under the sink. In reviewing theinvoice no work was done to the faucet but Mark did repair the Lavatorydrain which is what the parts are for on the invoice along with thedescription of work, there was no leak at the faucet. The Toilet Tank lever and flapper, in your letter you stat that the tube musthave been cracked when the flapper and lever were installed, I do not doubtthat something like that could happen but it is very unlikely, with that Iwould credit the invoice the $12.95 your son paid to purchase the new one.Nellie also told me that you are a senior and we did not give you the seniordiscount, we will also credit the invoice with the senior discount.Mark is a licensed Journeyman Plumber in the State of Montana and veryskilled at his work and I do take offense to the comments you put in yourletter questioning his craftsmanship. We will make the changes to the invoice and send this to you for payment.Should you have any questions please feel free to contact me.Sincerely, John B[redacted]
