Review: An agreement was made with [redacted] in March, 2013 to complete work at the restaurant ([redacted]). The agreement was that it would take 3 weeks. [redacted] began the work and did not show up for 2 weeks. We realized the work would take 1 1/2 month longer which means the work should have been finished in mid-May. [redacted] did not show up for 2 weeks again. Overtime , he has been paid a total of $15,000 and the work is still not completed. I have called several times and sent several text messages, but [redacted] has been selective with his response time, only to make more empty promises and unreliable excuses. It is now July . He was paid to complete the job ,and to date he has not shown up. As a result, I have been faced with the following major inconveniences : delaying the opening of my restaurant , losing money, because I am still responsible to pay rent, unable to get certificate of occupancy because work is not done, unable to get license for wine and beer, and inspection is scheduled for July.Desired Settlement: I would like for him to just finish the job ,and for the public to be aware of this company's unreasonable business ethics.

To whom it may concern,

In regards to the above referenced case number we were hired to complete renovations at [redacted] from which the previous contractor walked off the job for unknown reasons. We agreed to do the work providing no more than labor and would be compensated weekly for cost of labor until work was completed. This agreement was verbal and not adhered to by the complaining party. We continued regardless of that and continued working when we can. If I have to use funds and/or profits from other jobs to fund your either none or extremely slow payments then I have no choice but take on work elsewhere to make my payroll. [redacted] management has through the course of this project add more and more work to this project increasing time and cost as can be expected by anyone. Furthermore, we were let with no choice but to stop working this job when communications where not being returned. As a result a lien was placed on this property for past due moneys owed which was never paid. Owner of [redacted] wanted us to continue working and will work out a “payment plan” of some sort to pay for remaining balances owed. We have no vested interest in this establishment and therefore owe no such favor, and refuse to place further financial burdens on our plate that can potentially jeopardize our operations.

Respectfully,

I called 4 Kings when I saw their truck go by me on the highway. Figured I might as well being I had defective siding repair I needed done right away, and I wasn't liking the prices I was getting so far, pure coincidental. They showed up on time for appt., just so happened I mentioned I wanted my kitchen and bathroom renovated but couldn't afford to do so with the burden of having to replace my siding. They convinced me that my entire siding didn't need to be replaced (unlike the two previous contractors) and that my money was better spent redoing my kitchen/bath, and just repair siding as needed. To make a long story short, though a little bit worried about the outcome of repairing and not replacing siding, we decided to go with them under one condition, that the siding would be repaired first. Best decision I made! My siding looks like new no damages, and my kitchen and bathroom is fully renovated! All within the time frame they said. Kodos to them!

Review: I'm a victim of hurricane Sandy. Two months prior to the hurricane both my parents passed away. Since my parents passing away I have been struggling paying all my bills. The Red cross agreed to redo my kitchen and issued me a check. 4 kings construction has been paid almost 6 months ago to redo my kitchen. The kitchen Cabinets were ordered custom made from a company and 4 kings construction will not return any phone calls to the cabinet company. They won't return my phone calls or text messages. I'm not sure what actions I'm supposed to take.Desired Settlement: I would have like the Job to have been finished but after all these months of going back and forth I just want a refund so I can deal with another company. Now that I have paid money out of potcket I would like a full refund.

[redacted] showed complete unprofessionalism in his product and communication. The tile installation at my property was unsatisfactory. Although the contract states that if there are any issues they would correct problems at no expense to the customer they refused to make good on their promise. Truly dissappointed as [redacted] comes across a a stand up guy.

Review: My problem at persent with 4 Kings Construction,Inc is about completion of work that was constructed out the them. It had been three months now the they have not done any more repair at my home, from the super storm Sandy,I have called on many occasion and all I got in the first month is the their will get back to me and now ,I have not even't as much get a phone call back for the past month until I called and asked what the ([redacted] is going on with the repairs on my house and I stoped one day to speake with one of the worker and express my felling about the repairs at my home.) The next I got a message from the owner stating that I should not go on this job site cursing or leaving him any message like the one I left.I Wish to have this matter resolved as soon as possible. It's been three months now and my home is still not completed and still no respone as off today. They are very on reliable, very irresponsible and very lack with cummunication as business men.Desired Settlement: I wish to have the job completed 6.**.2013 or termination of contract as of the 6.**.2013

To whom it may concern,

In regards to the above referenced case number we were hired to do a renovation job for Ms. [redacted] at her residence in Far Rockaway Queens NY. Please refer to the attached estimate documents. During the course of this job there were numerous change orders to the scope of work at Ms. [redacted]’s request including redoing plumbing to relocate the location of her kitchen. This work was completed and upon doing so Ms. [redacted] decides to change the scope of work once again causing substantial delays due to having to re-break the newly poured concrete floor from waste line forward in order to rerun waste lines to new location for kitchen. As a result of breaking the floor to re access the plumbing pipes vibrations from doing so resulted in secondary damages to sewer main which was already rotting and now was cracked and in need of replacement. Furthermore, due to the age of the associated copper lines and the irregularity in pipe size resulted in entire length to be replace from water meter forward 22ft of piping and trenching including breaking and cutting out more of the concrete slab. Adding additional time to job approximately one six days at a cost of $3,750.00 (labor and material), this work had to be and wasn’t optional and was resulting to changes made by Ms. [redacted]; and an air conditioner box in foundation wall which totaled $587.00 in labor and materials.

The attached Construction Payment Schedule shows the how much funding is needed per “phase” of construction. This is better understood knowing work left to be completed as listed below:

• Install new front door

• Bathroom (excluding framing and major plumbing)

• Finishings (including floor tiles, painting, heating elements, and kitchen which is a separate matter as indicated by disclaimer bottom of estimate; see attachment)

• New Window (separate estimate outside scoop of work NO payment made towards invoice)

We are well into phase three construction with the exception of the bathroom. Ms. [redacted] was directed to contact her mortgage institute to schedule an inspection in order to release funds to continue work. Ms. [redacted] has made a payment of twenty thousand we have gone far beyond that dollar value $4,337.00 in charge orders, with Phase II construction 90% completed totaling $7,022.88 (please refer to attached Construction Payment Schedule). Ms. [redacted] was told to contact her

mortgage company to have inspection performed so that they can perform necessary inspection to release funds, to date that has not taken place. Furthermore, Ms. [redacted] has taken a stance that no work was done, how did she come up with when her work is near completion. To the point of telling our foreman that she’s not paying and $20,000.00 is enough to complete full job, this is just mind blowing when the estimated cost of construction is $28,664.00. We performed the work in upmost good faith and therefore suffered a financial loss totaling $7,816.08 ($4,337.00 in change orders and $3,479.08 in completed estimated cost of construction), but cannot do so further with cost of Ms. [redacted]’s construction. This dollar amount must be satisfied for work to be continued.

Respectfully,

Review: 4 Kings Construction worked on my property during the months of June and early July of 2014 my steps and platform were reconstructed and throughout the entire process the execution was completed as expected. However, as the project reached completion and railings had to be placed onto the steps a portion of the granite was cracked during the process. 4 Kings construction then replaced the granite piece on the platform in an incorrect color. The railings were then drilled onto the granite platform and now the portion of the platform that was replaced does not match its counterparts. In addition, when the steps were replaced they were not properly sealed. As rain fell on the steps water began to run through the ceiling beneath the steps as well as the ceiling and walls of the storage beneath the steps. Throughout the past three months the problem has gotten worse and the cement used for the ceiling of the steps is beginning to chip as water drips and compromises anything stored in the storage or underneath the steps. There are also pipes that when exposed to water will cause additional damage to the property due to rust. I have been contacting 4 Kings for several months through phone calls and emails. These were the same methods of communication used throughout the entire process and now I cannot get in contact with 4 Kings Construction at all. I would not recommend this company due to their practices.Desired Settlement: Would like for these damages to be fixed as soon as possible.

To whom it may concern,

These accusation are absolutely untrue, The Mrs. [redacted] has went to the extremes of even filing same complaint with [redacted] of Attorney General Office who finds her claim to be absolute false. At no given point had we conducted ourselves in a dishonest way. To further proof our case accompanied with this letter is the complaint filed by Mrs. [redacted] with the Attorney General Office as well as our response. We had been in total communication with them throughout working there claim/ re- construction. Mrs. [redacted] decided to discontinue the work at your and we did so as she wished.
