I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I reviewed and disagree They made no offer I also dispute their contentions: I had called Paws prior to establishing the appointment on 1/20, and prior to my wife calling them on 1/ I was told the cost for the procedure would be the office visit plus the coupon My wife was given a similar expectation during her phone call on 1/ My wife also recalls being told by the staff person she spoke to that "she was new here" During my conversation, in late December was never told or given a list of shots required, which was a big part of the deception NY requires rabies vaccine which both my animals have All our dogs records were faxed to Paws from our regular vet They never gave me or my wife a min/max estimate over the phone as their phone script lists, had we been given even a basic understanding of the additional costs possible this could have been completely avoided I have since discussed the issue with "Jamie" at Paws who was somewhat disrespectful to me on the phone She said "had you spoken to us before contacting the Revdex.com I might have worked with you but at this point I'm just going to respond through them", and then abruptly ended dialogue with me I still feel very strongly that this business intentionally misled us and overinflated the cost of this procedure [redacted] does say on their website to call and get an estimate of extra fees and costs from the vet prior to scheduling which we attempted to do My complaint is not about them We were expecting the procedure to cost what they told us which was an office visit plus coupon At this point, the only resolution I would request is that Paws abandon efforts to collect the $office fee I am not an expert on veterinary procedures and practices, and I feel that we were taken advantage of by Paws I would welcome the chance to provide a better explanation and description of our experience with Paws over the phone to the Revdex.com at ###-###-#### Thank you, [redacted]

On 1/*** *** called Paws Veterinary Care to schedule her two dogs for neutering, and stated she had a *** ** *** (***) Certificate. The Client Service Coordinator, Daniela, informed Mrs*** of all of the requirements needed prior to surgery, utilizing a checklist
that is used each time a person calls regarding a *** ** *** Service. Any pet that is admitted for surgery at Paws Veterinary Care is required to have been examined by the Veterinarian to ensure the pet is healthy enough to undergo the procedureUp to date vaccinations and a negative fecal within months is also required for the pet. Mrs*** expressed that her dogs were up to date on all vaccinations and was asked to provide us with the records prior to the appointment scheduled for the exams. On 1/*** *** arrived to the appointment for her two dogs without the vaccination recordsShe informed DrWthat she believed the pets had only had the Rabies and Da2pp, but not the other required vaccinesAt this time an estimate was created with the fee for the exams that had already been provided, the vaccines that would be required, and diagnostics and treatment for medical conditions found during the examination. Mrs*** declined all further treatment and vaccinations, paid the $for the examinations provided by the Doctor and left. Mr*** has since stopped payment on the checkMr*** has expressed that he believes we were deceptive in our practicesThe *** ** *** website clearly states two times that there may be additional fees required and are the responsibility of the pet owner. At the time of scheduling the Paws Veterinary Care staff informs the client of all requirements, and in the exam room a medical treatment plan is created and presented to the owner
