The customer is right, we lost the lawn mowerWe take in about to push lawn mowers a month to repairA lot of them look a likeAfter asking our mechanic about it, he thought someone picked up the wrong mowerWe tag each mower that comes in, but sometimes when they sit outside, the
rain or wind will damage tags beyond being able to read themWe made calls to people that had picked up the same style mowers and no one said they had the wrong oneThe mower was brought in back in May because it would not startThe mechanic replaced the carb, spark plug and put a new air filter on itThe total cost of the repair with labor and taxes was $After realizing the mower wasn't hereI did call Ms*** back and talked to her myselfI told her I was sorry for the problem we had and offered to replace the mower ($289.99) if they would pay the repair bill on the mowerNever, did I talk to Mr***The last time I talked to Ms*** was on Saturday Morning, November We were having a sale that day as we usually are not open on SaturdayI told her I would replace the mower if she would pay the repair billI told her I had new one in stock just like theirsShe said she would be by that MondayAs far as never getting a call from us, our mechanic calls everyone once he finishes the jobIf he can, he will leave a message letting the customer know the repair has been finishedWe have been in business since and as far as I know this is our first complaintI understand them being upset, but I think what we offered was very fair.
