On Thursday July 19, 2016, I purchased a "case" select cuts of frozen beef from two men, one of whom claimed he was the owner of The Season's FoodsHe was pushy, and as I was skeptical, he proved his sincerity by showing me his French passportHe had one laminated brochure and no other information that I could keepThe brochure stated a "Satisfaction Guarantee." I asked if the beef was grass fed, and he said yes, and showed me the very address where that particular cow had been butchered on the boxWhen they found out I was on disability, they offered me a 1/price discount, and even offered to sell me the freezer on their truck if I paid the full amountI paid $cash plus a $tipOne salesman loaded my freezer while the other made out the receipt, but instead of making an exact duplicate using the two-part form, he tried to make them out differently, until I insisted they be the sameThey offered to haul off all the boxes, which was fine until I inspected the meat later

Oh boy, we got lured by the scam on July 17, We are staying at a private RV park where this nice van came in with the Four Seasons logo on the side, nice guy, but a bit assertive to say the least with his sales tacticsThis scam artist said he was an "approved vendor" for the RV park and has been for years, so knowing how protective the owners of the park are, we believed this guyMy husband and I both said no thank you, no, no, no then Demetrie started throwing out the deals that my husband and I both kick ourselves that we fell in to the trap$worth of so called "premier" filet mignon's and organic grass fed ribeye's later, only to be eating meet with a lot of gristle and no flavorOh and he wanted it all in cash, which thankfully we didn't, although still working with our bank to see if they can have any recourse with the guys bank where he cashed our checkSome of the other folks in the park got sucked in to his scam as well as us and were smarter than us only being on the hook for less than $I have sent emails and left voicemails, with NO resultsPay attention to your gut and although we will have only likely learned a costly mistake, I am also doing everything possible to report this guy to the Revdex.com, City Attorney's office, etc The address on Demetri S's card is *** ** *** ***Portland, OR Don't fall for their scam!!!

I ask how many lbs it is, and they tell me oh we don't measure it like thatLook at the box after it's in the house, and each package is labeled with exact weightlying is a shady sales tactic I must saylbs tbone

lbs fillets
lbs peppercorn stakes
lbs chopped beef

=lb boxtheir price sheet they briefly flash says '$389' value$22.88/lb for steak?!
its snowy and they said it's their last box and they will give it to me for half price because they want to get home to their kids high pressure sales tactics oh, and don't tell your neighbors i'm giving it to you for half price because they are paying fullclaim to represent themselves as localthe steaks are from bridgeview illinois

i've left a message on their number requesting a refund do not expect to hear backscam artists

I am sorry this occurredThese two gentleman were fired, and continued to act as if they represented usWe would like to offer this customer some free product, in an attempt to reconcile thisWe regret ever hiring these two, and vow to be more selective and responsive in the futureIn regards to
the condition of our warehouse, we do keep I guard dog here, Tundra, however, she does not have access to the main part of the buildingAnd there is a front room connected to our building, being used to store some itemsOne can not actually see inside the main warehouse, so it would be impossible to label it as "disgusting"We keep it very clean inside , where our products are being stored at -degrees

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
My husband was told the company did not receive any money therefore could not refund my accountOn my account it shows the money paid to Seasons Foods and has their business number as wellThis indicates the person speaking to my husband lied about the company receiving the moneyI don't want more meat when I am trying to return the meat I already have. Sincerely,*** ***

I purchased frozen meat from two gentleman and was told I could receive a full refund if I found it to be unsatisfactoryI signed a contract that stated this as wellNow I have tried to call them, even the same day I made the purchase, to try and get my money backNow for a month I can't get a hold of anyoneMy husband and I have left messages and he went down to their business to speak to someone but no one was there to help himHe looked around the business and saw dog crap everywhere and that the inside was disgusting as wellHe left a note on their door and plans to go againHe and I have called the number from their site, on their Facebook page, and the number from the credit card company for the transactionNo answer or call back from anyoneTwo of the numbers weren't even working

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:No legitimate business sells products without being licensed in the city and state where they are based, Portland OR.  Furthermore, if Four Seasons wants their salespeople going door to door in Vancouver WA, they would be well advised to have licenses with the State of WA and the cities where their salespeople are operating.  Quite frankly, I don't trust a word out of this response.  Had I paid cash for the product as the salesperson was pushing me to do, like many other online complaints against this company, I would have no recourse and be out a lot of money.  They would have just ignored me.I believe the only reason the owner finally contacted me and picked up his meat was because I had paid with a credit card and immediately disputed the charges!  Word to the wise, don't by meat from the back of someone's truck!  Sincerely,Fred [redacted]

Regarding Mr. [redacted] complaint,   This situation is one I am truly sorry for. We received a callfrom Mr. [redacted] on I believe a Thursday. Our secretary wrote a note tome, saying he was expecting a call back. Regrettably, it was that Monday before I returned a call to a very...

unhappy customer. It was at this time he stated he did not want the goods or services, and had stoppedpayment on his credit card. I personally picked up the products the following morning. Little was said, other than apologizing for his dissatisfaction and pointing out the boxes are marked choice.    On one hand this has been a very negative experience for Mr. [redacted], and I believe an irreversable opinion of us has been formed. For this I'm apologetic, and never wish to repeat this experience. On the other hand, I believe good has come out of it, and we've tried to take necessary action to make changes and move forward.   We do wish to remain compliant with any permits or licenses, etc. needed in order tooperate, and in the last 19 years undergone inspection annually by the [redacted] toBe licensed as a meat seller. Thankfully, this did bring to our attention further action needed, and have since taken that action.   We have also taken a close look at our call back time, for when a customer does need our attention. We are also trying to further educate our contractors. We do carry commercial, gluten free grass-fed, and all natural products. We think it's important our representatives are informing people on the distinctions between these, so they can effectively make the best decision, for their needs and the needs of their families.      Sincerely, Jonathan K[redacted] owner and founder

We exchanged this gentleman's purchase out for a different product. Although we would have liked for the customer to have not had to wait as long as he did, John G. did drive back out to get the customer what he wanted. We are confident this has been resolved in a satisfactory manner.

Ms. [redacted],  I am very sorry you feel you were taken advantage of. These two guys have been terminated for this type of behavior. You are correct, they do NOT and never will, have any ownership in the company. I too fell victim to there charisma. And I also apologize for the delayed response....

After 20 years in the meat business, my name is really been sagged through the dirt just within the last couple years. However, I'm responsible for who I have representing me. That said we as a company, would like to resolve this matter, and offer you a full refund. If I could get your address and phone number, I would like to arrange a time that I could come out personally and refund your money. Please note, I wholesale the food to independent contractors, so I while they are no longer here, I am paying back money, I never received. Sincerely, Jonathan K[redacted]
